- In this video I head to the Yorkshire Dales with the Focused Performance crew to run the 3 Peaks. It was a wet and wild weekend adventure on Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent. lots of fun and laughs were had by all despite the horrendous weather.

Absolutely love the music
Look what good energy can do
That ending with the music and bridge 🥰👏🌈🙂
It's a pretty special place 👍
Just watched for a nice trip down memory lane Dean, what a fantastic reminder of a great weekend
It really was a great weekend, the elements through everything they could at us but we laughed the whole time 👍😎 See you in the Peaks this weekend
Must do in my lifetime 👍
Amazing intro the music gets me every time 🌈🙂
Thanks for watching Thomas
Great video again Dean.
Thanks for watching Jamie
To say this video is great would be a massive under-statement. A mate of mine recommended your vids months ago and luckily I made a note 'for a later date'. The quality of the filming and oration was fantastic, especially when you consider the 'slightly adverse conditions' ,and,. having done the 3 Peaks well over 30 times it was of particular interest to me. One of my biggest nightmares,in certain parts of the walk......wet limestone (it's hellish). Thanks for posting this truly wonderful piece of film.
Thanks for watching and for your kind words Bobby, it was a great weekend even if the weather was a bit testing 😁
Just watched this, brought back memories of when I did it first time,a year after recovering from motorcycle accident, which left me unable to bend my left leg properly.
Iam astounded,I did it in winter with ice and snow, carrying my food and completed in 11 hrs.
It's a great route isn't it. Have done it a few times now and always really enjoy it. Heading back with a group from work this year at some point. Thanks for watching
Doing this next yr.. probably not running though!..
Always compelling viewing Dean.
Thanx for sharing your adventures.
Thanks for watching, hope you have a great time when you tackle the Y3P
Great video as always. Don't envy the wetness :)
It's all good fun, I don't mind a bit of rain.. it's certainly preferable to being sat at my desk at work gazing out of the window 🤣

Haha poor you no dean should be caged
Well done sir
Thanks for watching 👍
Cool name lol
Ah some Dean content to get me through the last part of my night shift
Enjoy Michael 👍😁 Hope you've not got long left on your shift, thanks for watching
Only till 8am thank goodness. Great video. Any plans to run the whole lot in one go??
I'd love to run it all in one go, maybe early next year as we train for the Spine Challenger race.
No chance of sunburn today Dean! Great video, love the 3 peaks. Take care.
Definitely no chance of sunburn even for a ginger 😂 Thanks for watching
Thanks so much Dean! Really looking forward to watching this, and thank you so much for joining us again 😊👍🏃♂️
Thanks for having me along Geoff, I had a great time. The weather was interesting but it was thoroughly enjoyable. See you in a couple of weeks, enjoy Catalonia👍
Well done to everyone that looked like a hard but enjoyable weekend with a stunning area atvb Jimmy 👍👍😎😎
Thanks for watching Jimmy, it's a lovely part of the world
Familiar territory (and weather 🤣) there. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching, the weather added a little extra spice to the adventure 🤣
Some tough conditions there Dean. Looked very brutal at times. I stayed at the Crown when I walked the Pennine Way. I think it’s probably not changed inside since the Pennine Way was first created 😆. It’s a lovely place for a pint though as are all of those little Yorkshire villages
Thanks for watching Anthony. I bet you're right, I doubt it's changed at all in all that time 😁
Dean Your Mad lol envy you I sure couldn't do any of that due to my Fibromyalgia makes me laugh you carry on stepping in a Puddle I'm shivering at the thought of it pal Running up or Down a Hill makes me feel shattered but you know I've always watched your Vlogs you bring the Outside in to me thanks buddy keep them coming pal all my best David
Great shoe choice Dean. Well done the runners in those conditions, makes it nice & memorable when it's been like that 🏃👍
Thanks for watching 👍😎
Love that descent from Pen-y-ghent, thrilling to run! Great video as usual.
Thanks for watching. I really enjoyed running the 3 Peaks this time, the weather was interesting 🤣
Your all definitely Legends for doing this looks like u had fun besides the conditions 🙂🌈👏🐇🍄🍁☕🥰
Another wonderful uplifting video. You guys look like you're having a great time. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for watching, it was a fantastic weekend with great people
Another great video Dean -thanks for sharing - looked enjoyable and fun even though windy! Great views thank you
Thanks for watching, it was a really enjoyable weekend despite the weather 😁
Great video again Dean. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed sitting here in the warm watching you get soaked on Whernside! Rather you than me. Looked pretty rough, but glad to see you enjoying it.
Thanks for watching Peter, even the wind and rain can't dampen my spirits 😁
How did the inov8's fair coming off whernside dean? Great video as usual 👏🏻👍🏻
Might not be walking but still a great video .
Been around that area quite a lot many moons ago ( before I had a family !)..it's very scenic , quite physical but well worth the effort .
Keep up the good work Dean .
Thanks for watching Kevin. It's a reall stunning place, the weather certainly kept people away that weekend as it's usually absolutely packed on that route
Nice to watch again from Vietnam mate - i already finished the lockdown already - yesterday morning i ran 13km - today im doing sprint intervals and tomorrow i will run 24km - slow to steady runs with sprints - in two months time running from Saigon to Vung Tau which is around 100 km !
Glad you're finally out of lockdown and back on the trails again, good luck with the 100km and as always, thanks for watching 👍
Great video Dean and the windslayer seemed to work a treat, did Steph know something you didn't before you went running in them conditions?.
Stef was camping with friends that weekend so she missed out on all the great weather we got in Yorkshire 🤣
That was epic Dean. Very wet and wild indeed! I was in the Peak District last week and on one of my solo days I was up on Derwent Edge in the same very windy and wet conditions, with 10 to 20 metre visibility from about 300 metres upwards, but it was still an enjoyable challenge! The Yorkshire 3 peaks are still on my to do list, so beautiful there, even in that weather! Was that another new variant of your theme music? Sounded slightly different to me - like it 😃
Thanks for watching Greg, it really was wet and wild. You just have to get out there regardless of the weather, it always worth it 😁 I can definitely recommend the 3 Peaks, it's such a stunning area and one I love returning too. Yeah the theme music has evolved a little since I first made it in 2015, I tend to change it slightly every time I use it 😁
Awesome! I enjoy seeing if I can spot the differences on your theme music. I don’t compose or create much these days but do still get creative with synth sounds in particular. I usually use mainstage and then various plug in instruments or something like a Nord Stage for live stuff but am equally as happy behind a nice acoustic piano which is much simpler to operate 😂😂
I love making the music for the videos, my friends and I used to DJ in the early 2000s so used to play the tracks out live to a crowd... So glad I've got an outlet for the music now with the videos. I use Reason and have done since version one back in the early 2000s. Have dabbled with Cubase and Logic over the years but have stuck with Reason.
Love this Dean, I watched again now we're back from Catalonia, reminded me of the very diferent weather conditions encountered in October! Brilliant video and a fantastic record of our weekend
Hey Dean, I'm thinking of doing the 3 peaks over 2 days at the end of the month. Are there any decent spots to wild camp along the way? Fairly flat & possible water source ? Cheers, Matt.
Hi Matt, there are a few nice spots just off the path.. low level though as I'm not sure about the reliability of water further up. Check out Hull Pot 👍 That would be a great place to camp near Pen-y-ghent and rather spectacular too
Thanks for watching too 👍😎
@@DeanRead thanks for the tip Dean, no worries about watching as I watch em all, even Goonies where you camp in private places 😉
⛰⛺👍🏻
I've still got to edit my video of that one, it's nearly done but I edited a trail running one last night instead.... It was great to be back in the not so secret location again 😁
