  • Ever wondered how you can remove the loose skin under your neck without surgery?
    Many people are apprehensive about undergoing surgery and would much rather have less invasive treatments.
    In todays episode of Nip Talk, Board Certified Surgeon Dr Munir Somji shares everything you need to know about how you can achieve amazing results without having any invasive surgery. DrMedispa offers so many alternatives for those who want great results but are willing to gradually see this unfold over a period of time.
    Dr Somji explains that the neck region doesn't really have any bone for the skin to attach itself to and ultimately causes there to be an unflattering appearance from the side angle. So how does he tackle this very common issue without the need for invasive surgery?
    Many people often mistake this sagging area with it being fat, that's not the case sometimes! When people make this mistake and try fad diets or lipolysis injections, they are usually left sagging skin which is a big no no!
    Have a watch of this video because Dr Somji

      If you’re only 34 you can exercise the neck and maybe use something like Nuface. There are 2-3 excellent channels on CZcams just search face yoga, neck lift exercises. There’s another one but he mentioned it. Also do something to stimulate skin renewal and collagen to improve elasticity.

    Your video has given me a renewed hope...my neck area is so bad that it is the first place anyone looks, it used to be my eyes. I am so self-conscious about the appearance of my neck that it has affected my life, I am not as outgoing as I once was its uncomfortable when people find out my age because I know what they are thinking. My issue is affordability, how expensive are these treatments?

    Is it possible to do weighted neck exercises to tighten up that area as well as getting better posture?

    • @noprosthesisforyoursoul
      @noprosthesisforyoursoul Pƙed 3 měsĂci

      Yes. There are head straps/„harnesses“ to strap the weight to for neck training. But don’t do the „platysmal band workouts“ that some people promote (where they put the weird chewy thing in their mouth and work out those front platysmal bands) because that will literally do the opposite of what they think it’s going to do for them. The platysmal bands straining will pull that skin under the chin making it even looser. So you’d want to work out the muscles in the back and sides of the neck without straining the platysmal bands. 👍 muscle growth in the neck without straining the platysmal bands. That will absolutely help fill out the loose skin.

    • @Drsomjiskin
      @Drsomjiskin  Pƙed 2 lety

      Sure there’s an argument for surgery for longer lasting results. Not every patient is happy to undergo a procedure under general anaesthetic as well as having scarring. Also the cost is quite different as well. Some patients also do not have enough laxity to safely perform a surgical treatment too.
