I’ve been saying “ You are correct sir !” at least once a day for 30 years. It’s still hilarious.
Oh Yeah 👍
I’ve got my kids saying it to me. In a mocking way but still awesome. Yes! Correct!
You are correct sir!
I did not know that
You are not alone.
Phil Hartman was brilliant in every skit, every show, every impersonation, and not just SNL. Missed dearly.
Fuck Andy Dick.
YES - you are correct, sir!
@@zaq55 Nice to hear from you, McMahon!!
I see a fair amount of Ed McMahon in Phil's Admiral Stockdale (Ross Perot's running mate) 😁🤣
@Jim McCracken Yes, I saw the '92 VP debate live.
I don't doubt that Stockdale was a very smart and good guy - and deserved thanks for his service, esp considering what he endured as a POW - but because he came across as a bit too old and/or out-of-touch, it wasn't wrong of people to question Perot's judgment in choosing him.
Dana Carvey is brilliant! One of the greatest impressionists and comedians of all time!
I agree his church lady skits made me bust a gut laughing
@@lowellnickell5726Years ago my boyfriend's kids were in a school play and his ex and her mother were there as we were as well. I kid you not when I say that my boyfriend's ex mother-in-law looks and sounds just like the church lady. She's strictly religious too. She came over where we were seated to talk to my boyfriend about his kids. When she walked away from us I started laughing out loud! My boyfriend looked at me an said, "See, I told you so", because he told me ahead of time that she was identical to the church lady.😂
@@bluevictory1010 Now that is too funny I would have laughed until my sides hurt if I were there
Phil and Dana ❤️
YES!
Dana and Phil CRUSHED it here. I so miss those SNL days. Phil made me laugh so hard with impressions of Frank Sinatra and Ed here..What a Talent! RIP...Dana and Spade's podcast is fun.
I love that Carson just rolls off a list of celebrities at 1:17 with Queen Elizabeth not only in the middle of it, but somehow behind Dom DeLouise. 🤣
Am I the first one to give props to Kevin Nealon's Leno? Balls on perfect...
"Johnny Carson is seen in over 23 million bedrooms and that is why his last wife left him."
- Dean Martin
Ha Ha. 👍
Phil Hartman took that table dive like a beast.
That was hilarious! The attacking tiger behind the desk was legendary.
I thought he broke Dana for a sec
100% dope! Carvey, Hartman (he's fire here!) & the urinating feline: comedy gold! And, of course, thanks to Johnny Carson & Ed McMahon for decades of late night smiles.
Carvey and Hartman are my 2 favorites from SNL hands down. This era is epical. Myers, Lovitz, Farley, Rock, Sandler, Schneider, Spade, Nealon, Miller, and many more
Gilda Radner
My favorite SNL era. So much comedic talent.
@@OneFlewOverTheCuckoo1999 Gilda was from a totally different era than the late 80s-early 90s era Arian was describing.
Don't forget Jan Hooks - one of the most talented cast members SNL ever had.
You ain’t wrong. SNL early 90s was special. Maybe cause I’m young Gen X but I loved it.
Dana doing Dennis Miller was insane. Spot on!
Yeah, that Miller impersonation was wild!
Yeah, it’s uncanny. But what was with the shaking?
I cracked up when he said he didn't want to be obsqueecious.
Shit was hilarious
Dana actually used to do a sketch on weekend update with Dennis Miller as Dennis Miller (I think it was called Miller on Miller). It was pretty hilarious. Miller could bearly keep a strait face.
Mr Hartman was a genius so damn funny
I still miss Phil Hartman so much.
So much left for him to do. Very tragic ending for such a talented talented guy.
Dana was so good doing Dennis Miller this particular time that my brain thought he was Dennis Miller doing Dana Carvey. 😄😄😄
Yeah it was so brilliant i had to figure out what i was looking at
Same here, I thought it really was Dennis Miller, fooled me!
I really love that part of the skit. He does Dennis Miller better than Dennis Miller does himself :-)
Same here!
I listen to Dana and Spades podcast. Dana's real voice sounds a lot like Miller.
The great Phil Hartman
Dana Carvey's impression of Dennis Miller (2:53) should be enshrined in the Impressionist Hall of Fame. Period. Okaaaaay ......
What was that all about haaAAAAAaaAa?
YES! You are correct sir!
Indeed..nailed it
Chris Rock's "serious Arsenio pose" is on point.
SOOOOO on point. 💯💯💯
I was trying to see if they extended his pointing finger.
with top gums and everything talent, man
Props to the band for nailing Doc’s sound!
You can see why they called Hartman the glue, but I always loved how Carvey would snap out of character & scream Saturday Night
Great Dennis Miller impression.
Almost. Its Joan- -
I actually thought it was Dennis Miller for 15 or 20 seconds.
So that's who it was! Been so long I didn't recognize/remember - probably since I never ever watched Dennis Miller's show.
Dana Carvey being such good friends with Dennis Miller really enabled him to do such an amazing impression
Dana's impressions have a lot of overlap
It's so crazy how Dana just became Johnny Carson. Such talent.
Weird and wild stuff.
Phil Hartman..............Thanks for The Laughs...........LIP.- Laugh in Peace.......
Carvey later did his hybrid impression of Arsenio Hall and Johnny called “ Carsinio” and its hilarious
Word is on the CNN Documentary The Story of Late Night thar Johnny saw that Carsenio sketch and it made him sad. Said something like "when they (meaning SNL the hippest show) starts making fun of you for being outdated, it's time to go."
@@jameysingletonvideos Johnny announced his retirement 4 days later. I didn't know this until a few days ago.
Dana really nailed it lol. Amazing
Agree! On the other hand Adam Sandler did not even come close to nailing David Brenner.
Two brilliant performers Glad at least one of them is still around
Still surprised Johnny dressed sporty final show.
Omg this is priceless!! They both nailed them! I used to watch Carson every night, remember all the episodes 😅😂
That was some weird, wild stuff.
That was some weird, wild, wacky stuff!!! YES!
@@jamescombs8316 YOU, are correct, sir!
I didn't realize how much I missed Dana Carvey until I saw this ! Brilliant.
“I did not think our last show would end this way.” LOL
Great writing, great acting. So f*cking funny. I laughed throughout.
Every now and then you hear someone say I did not know that in that Carson Style
Miller: "Like that blonde guy who replaced Barbarino on Kotter. 😝
In real life everybody was happy Carson was gone because then they thought they had a chance.
Wow Sandler can actually do a different voice. Never heard that before.
He sounded like Howard Stern doing one of his impressions. I thought these skits were funnier. Maybe I was high back then. Don't recall.
Kevin Nealon did an A+ Jay Leno!
i couldn't get to sleep without watching Johnny
These late-night hosts these days are dreadful, they are not even close to being as good as Carson.
@Clark Kent
Leno was ok. The rest are just grandstanding.
I couldn't sleep because of Johnny so you know so late at night. He me in such a bad habit staying at times till Dawn. And if I didn't I would be missing all the great overnight b/w classics and 60s and 70s movies
@@kathrynmolesa1641 Conan is/was much better than Leno.
Both of these guys are so talented.
We're closing in on the 30th anniversary of
Carson's retirement! How time flies!!
When times were simple...Great Skit!...
Brilliant Sandler crash. And that David Brenner always seemed to be "just there" on The Tonight Show.
Dana's Dennis Miller impression was 🔥
I know i've been commenting on this a lot, but i've been having a rotten bout of depression lately, and the Dennis Miller bit made me laugh so hard that it may have kept me from harming myself. Then ‘David Brenner’ came out🤣🤣🤣🤣
I guess I should let you know that I’m totally serious about this. Thanks to all involved 😻😻😻
Blessings!
@@Laura-tp8wzThank you😻
Phil Hartman and John Candy - I still miss them and would love to have had them working their magic for so very much longer than they did, They left plenty to enjoy, nonetheless.
This sketch is weird, wild, wacky stuff. I did not know of it. I'm Johnny... Yaa Haa!
This era of SNL brings me back to a much happier time in my life, and such great music coming out at the time, like STP, Nirvana, Tool, Primus etc... such good times
Same. The world a wasn’t nuts and upside down. Don’t forget soundgarden and Alice In Chains!!!
Unfortunately, those bands suck then again, I’m a bit older than you😂👍🎸
Nirvana actually was pretty overrated And I must say that big hit song they had was freaking annoying in my humble opinion
@@jamesmack3314 I was in my 30s at the time. I was just glad all of that annoying AF Hair "Metal" from the 80s was killed off because of the Grunge Movement.
@@bulkvanderhuge9006 yea…those bands sucked to😁except Van Halen
@@jamesmack3314 God I HATE van Halen, especially their "Archies" background vocals.
LAUGHED MY BEHIND OFF!!!!!!!!!
I always loved how Dana would first say "LFNY" in character at first but then, scream the remainder.
Phil Hartman was hysterical and will be greatly missed! Carvey’s impersonation of Miller is spot on - he is one of the best! Was laughing so hard throughout!
Hilarious, including "obsquecious"
I caught that and thought to myself, huh?
That Dennis Miller was fantastic.
Nobody could do Ed better than Phil!
Early 90s - SNL gold
Phil passed 24 years ago today😢
RIP to this dear man🙏🏼❤️
This was funny . I was laughing so hard that I was crying
I pissed my pants at Dennis Miller. "Obsqueachis"
Nealon, Rock, and Carvey as Leno, Arsenio, and Denis Miller are dead on gold.
Dana Carvey so good at impersonations and Phil Hartman too. So funny 😂🤣😂
What a cast!!!
Hartman and carvey killed it!
They were ALL so great! Every bit as good as the original cast!
Better...
'Anyway, it's been a fun week: Clint Eastwood visited us, Queen Elizabeth, Dom DeLuise ...'
Damn his evil wife Brynn to hell for killing this beautiful human being! 🥺 R.I.P Phil.
maybe she did what others only dream of look: just Leave
You want someone to blame, blame Andy Dick for getting her back on drugs.
Your portrayal of Dennis Miller was more than brilliant. It was over and beyond babe. It eas epic. And Ed ? Where do I start,? I can't do Dana Carvey Justice. Dude. You are Zeus.
Love you. There should be a statue. KING DANA.
The best snl cast. This is great
You are correct, sir!
At first I thought, who is Dennis Miller impersonating? Until I realized it was Carvey impersonating Miller! He's that good. Carvey and Hartman, both amazing. R.I.P. Phil. And Carson still reigns as the best talkshow host ever.
That's what I thought too😂
I was wondering if Miller was doing an exaggerated Miller
"Too drunk to be scared. Yes Sir"
😂😂😂😂🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🤘👊🍾👏
You can't you can't backdoor a tiger cub😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If anyone says anything you say you are correct sir😂❤❤❤😂😂
Was waiting for "I did not know that. And "Wild Stuff."
Chris Rock and that finger! 😂
That was some weird wild schtuff
Great opening, loved it!
Dana Carvey's impression is excellent. But Hartman's parody was INSANE!!
0:50 You are correct sir, YES!!!
Unbelievable talent and CONTROL on display here. There is such focused, specific target acquisition going on in each scene. The old days in a nutshell.
Control indeed. I don't know how Dana didn't break at Phil Hartman's Ed.
Phil was so good. Glad we got videos. A real gift. Dana and Phil? Gold on Gold.
That quack at the end of the Dennis Miller thing was... awesome.
I can't even put this in words in the words man😂😂😂😂
That was great !!♡!!
Thanks for reminding me of when SNL was actually funny with talented players.
Comedy genius!
OMG I never saw this one. It beats the hell out of the new ones.
Me too
CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dana and Phil - the Batman and Robin of this SNL era
"Yes!"
Phil is Batman because Dana is the same age as me. 😊
Wow -- that was some weird, wild stuff! You are correct, sir! Hah! 😁🥸👋
They replaced the real tiger cub with the stuffed one during the sketch.
The tiger was so cute.
Magical
Rick Moranis nailed it!😂😂😂
How I see you brought up the whole kit and caboodle😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Carvey and Hartman were fantastic!...my favorites Farley & Akroyd
Only thing it was missing was someone impersonating Letterman
and Dangerfield.
Only Norm Macdonald could have done that.
@@jacksonmorganfroghin4815 Joe Piscopo.
The second golden era of SNL.
so talented
David Brenner made 150+ appearances on the tonight show and was one of Johnny’s top favorite guests.
Brenner appeared on the show 26 times. He was from New Jersey & didn't like traveling to California.
You mentioned David Brenner ... man talk about untimely death . What a great comedian . I was crushed when I heard about his death. It wasen't time damn it .
@@AntiEverything00 Sarcasm I hope...???
Aaaah! I’m stoned to the bejeezus and the Dennis Miller impersonation is kicking my ass😅😅😅
David Brenner….oh no🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Tiger Cub 🥺🥺🥺🥺
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro, same.
Sandler's impression of David Brenner is wonderful!
I agree! that one surprised the hell out of me. Impressions really aren't Sandler's bag..but he did a damn good Brenner.
Is the picture on the coffee mug Jack Paar? ... oh crap I just realized no one will know who Jack Paar was!! Damn I'm old!
Great impressions, great skit. I used to see Dana Carvey doing stand up in the early 1980s.
Feeling so blessed oh great one😂😂😂😂😂
RIP Phil
How cool is it that Dana does both
Yes! You are correct sir.
You had to know something is coming out and stay to do something stupid😂😂❤❤😂
This is fantastic
