I believe the myth is that vampires cannot personally cross moving water (oceans, rivers, creeks, ect. anything with a current) I think lakes are okay.

I always heard it was that they can't cross a body of water without a coffin containing the soil of their homeland, which is why later they show Alucard's coffin inside the crashed blackbird.
(I think it actually was operation “kraut control” considering that was the nick name given to German soldiers during WWII)

Ahh Schrodinger, he's a bit of an oddball but I like him for the funny bits he has in the series. Based on a hentai catgirl that Kota Hirano made back in the day of his adult comics..a LOT of his characters are based on his older works which were mostly hentai, including Pip, Anderson was from one of the non hentai ones..but anyway his whole thing is he's supposed to be a living(?) Schrodinger's Cat. It's a quantum physics thought experiment that is very long and drawn out but boils down to a cat, in a box with a vial of poison that might or might not break, put a lid on the box. When you look in the box later the cat is both alive AND dead at the same time, that's why in the manga Schrodinger says he is "everywhere and nowhere". As long as he believes he exist somewhere..he's there, basically a very real "I think therefore I am" power.
not entirely right. You are not allowed to look into the box. That would destroy the quantummode in which the radioactive Molecule inside the box (you need that to activate the machine that breaks the poison vial) is at that moment. In the quantom state the radioactive molecule is at the same time, broken and intact so the vial of poison is broken and intact, so the cat is either dead or alive. You can not interfere with the molecule, that would cause the molecule to decide on its state, thererfore determining the outcome.
