    I think there are two classes of EUCs.
    Class A: an EUC that is used as last mile vehicle. You throw these in the trunk and use it when it’s convenient. The V10 is absolutely one of the best wheels for this.
    Class B: a complete replacement for cars. Here we are taking about Sherman suspension, master pro, v13, etc.

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 9 měsíci +4

      Agree; and the exact same split, not based on features pe-se, but on available finances which then determine available features within that budget.
      If advising those on restricted budget best bang for buck type scenario - taking into account all factors the V10F is a good bet.

    • @heymelon
      @heymelon Před 9 měsíci +2

      Last mile for me would be the even smaller wheels in size and range. V10f feels like a tweener wheel kind of among these classes. But in terms of everything modern features and true speed and range it definitely falls sort of the bigger class.

    • @georgH
      @georgH Před 9 měsíci

      Couldn't agree more.
      But yet, the legislators, don't know shit or are afraid and then just authorize the 1st class, leaving anything else illegal.
      I think it would be perfectly reasonable for the 2nd class wheels to allow them on the roads with proper registration and insurance.

    • @mikelo9006
      @mikelo9006 Před 9 měsíci

      I don't get it why EUC or any pEVs is good last mile solution. Never leave it in the trunk of the car due to battery, need to wear gear even in short miles and need to keep battery at charge. Better off get some folding bike like Brompton for last mile solution. Except u park your car 99% in the garage with moderate temperature. Bigger wheel is the way to go tho

      @@mikelo9006When I'm on a V10, I don't wear any gear. Also, unlike a bike, I can put the V10 under a restaurant table. Agree w/ the heat, but I'm up here in Seattle, it doesn't get too hot even during the summer.
      Typical use is: Get to the place I'm trying to go, drop off my passengers, drive the car a bit further to find a cheaper/free/better/only available parking spot. Use V10 to get to my party.

    It still lives because is a very good EUC. The simplest, the better. I still use my V8f for daily commute. Very practical when combined with the metro. V12 is also a fine beast but I cannot find everyday the nerves for fighting with a very heavy traffic when going to work so a v10f is also a good choice for metro-EUC combination.

    The V10F is only a 16x2,5" wheel. But the ride on smooth surfaces is totaly amazing. It feels like you are floating. If you ride it casual and not as aggressive as Ian usually does on his range tests it will give you 40km per charge. The only bad thing about this wheel is the trolley handle. It feels like it's broken right of out the box, but it works fine. But if you crash the wheel it's the part most likely to break.

    My V10F here in Australia is cactus. It’s only got about 600kms on the clock yet my V10F in Poland has around 7k and is still going like the day I opened the box! I’ve put this on trains under my legs and travelled throughout Europe and it’s never let me down! I have had the dead one examined here in Oz and it’s only the battery (which during Covid was left abandoned - I was stuck in Europe for 2 years). I’ve been told that I can’t get new replacement batteries for it (that’s what they tell me in Australia) Do you have them available there in the UK? I totally agree with your views and sentiment Ian.
    A great price for a practical wheel, with plenty of speed and range for a non extreme rider.
    I had the V10 in the UK and used it for country lane riding in Warks, nipping to the nearest supermarkets, visiting friends and keeping it in the back of my motorhome so I could park up in a quiet place for eg, in Lake Windermere and then ride into the town for a coffee or a pie.
    I sold it a couple of years ago and it held it's price well.
    I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand these days and I'm on my second Nikola.
    Prior to that, I rode a different Nikola in Christchurch, NZ and an MSX for commuting in Melbourne.
    It's a pity that Begode don't make the Nikola because it has just that little bit of an edge over the V10/F in terms of max speed (60km/h) and range (50-70 km).
    Similar design to the V10F with the same robustness and excellent water resistance, onbaord speakers and I love the Led combos. Would probably be a bit more than a V10F but for me, the Nik gives me all I need to ride up the mountains and nip to the market and to go off to play sports.
    I highly recommend the V10/F and when I returned to it, I was not disappointed. It's smooth, safe and reliable.

    I’m 52. My first wheel on September 9th, 2022 (almost a year ago!) was the V10F second hand. It had 60mi on it and I got it for $500! It has been a dream with 2000mi on it now as I commute to work frequently. It gets me off of the couch and wanting to do stuff. This means that I have saved 130gal of fuel as well.
    Yes, I want suspension. Yes, I want something faster. No, I can’t afford it. Even saying that, I don’t feel left out with it. It doesn’t sit in the corner and waste space. It gets ridden and enjoyed. I prefer it!
    My current weight and shape is much higher than it should be. The V10F capacity is 265lbs. I am 247lbs with no clothes. It made me get off several times one day and I weighed myself when I got home (safely) and I weighed 283lbs with the garbage I was carrying!!! It took me but it just didn’t like it.
    Just ordered my second tire for my second tire change. It’s inexpensive and not too difficult.
    I’ll dream of more speed while I dance along weaving back and forth to the music while smiling. 😂

It’s so practical, reliable and fun, I still really enjoy riding it. New riders who attempt to start out on a heavy, powerful suspension wheel are make life difficult for themselves, and frankly are missing out on the fun and practicality of the lighter, agile and more portable wheels. It’s a classic for sure. If I could only have one wheel, it’d be high on the list I’d be looking at. I started on a V8S and got a new EXN marked down to a v10 price. I still use the V8S quite a lot, for practical stuff it’s hard to beat, the v10 would be just that little bit more fun if I only had one wheel. For a short run or if I’m going to get on a train or bus, I’m very glad to have the v8s. The V8S also has the advantage that it is completely legal where I live (up to 25 mph is fine), so no hassles on a commute. I use the EXN almost exclusively for fun, as you say. I would do two cycles of back and forth, then 10, then 50, then 100. On taking the wheel outside not having the potential support left or right slowed me a bit and doing anything but forward and back, like turning for example another thing to learn. And one stop after KS 18 Is also a great all rounder, better trolley handle that doesn’t get dirty or hide the stop light with a bigger wheel. To bad makers are not investing anymore in that type of wheels

Would probably have gotten a Nik+ but for a grand the v10F is justifiable even if i only ride it 3 months a year.
