I recently bought one of these. I am 54 and having difficulty with my hands, which is getting worse. I've never been able to fully master the proper controller, so I decided to get one of these so I can still play with my son. Linus Tech Tips did a review which pointed out that Microsoft will never make money on this. This is going to be as game changing as the original iPhone. Imagine what Stephen Hawking could have done with one of these. I watched a video of someone with I think MS who could barely move his hands playing a football game with his feet and kicking ass. *This device is an act of love*. Haters gonna hate no matter what Microsoft does, so time to ignore them and appreciate this for what it is - it's the start of an industry of adaptability bringing technology to those who have previously been passed by. Veterans with war injuries, old people with strokes, kids with birth defects - this device is an equalizer.

This is the greatest social invention I’ve seen in a long time. It truly restores some of my faith in humanity.
Please put this up on more markets so it can be more noticeable. This should be huge news but because people can only see it through your website the only people hearing about it are people who already know about it. Parents need to see this, family and friends need to see this. not just microsoft followers. Please do not doom this to just a niche peripheral that becomes a collectors item a few years down the line. this needs to be available everywhere.
Don't worry, Microsoft's Super Bowl ad was focused on their Adaptive Controller. :)

This is flat-out the best thing any game company has ever come out with four kids who have disabilities I have to say I am happy that a game company has actually made a controller for kids who have abilities like this to actually game with kids who don't have a disability to make it fair to make it honestly the same for some that don't have the capability of doing what others can do I would be happy to back something like this up and I hope as a Sony PlayStation person that PlayStation make something like this to this is an incredible controller and I think it changes so much of the gaming community making it fair for others to play at the same level as regular people do
When this controller goes into full swing and people start getting used to the controllers, I wonder if they will have some sort of "special e-sports", kind of like having a special olympics, where people with limited mobility would compete.

I agree with the last commenter who said it would be closer to the Paralympics, which is for those with limited mobility. Did you go to medical school in the Caribbean?

You are awesome Microsoft. My nephew has Cerebral Palsy and has difficulty sometime managing the controller. This can make a difference. Thanks for this...and also my Bad ass XBOX 1X.

This is truly a good deed on Microsoft’s part. They care about ALL gamers.
I got one too and I love it, I can now use the left trigger on the controller through the adaptive controller using the pedal that I use for like call of duty or any shooting games and Forza games I use the numchuck controller. Can’t wait to try it on other games.
hi Scott so you can play call of duty now can you do everything like walking and turning at the same time, forgive me i have c,p, and i gave up playing game because i can only joystick and when games like call of duty i just could not please because i could only move forward and back

Can you additionally include support for a microphone to allow for voice controls of buttons so that they can call out “a” or “b” or other buttons?

I bought thrustmaster t 16000m i tried to connect it xbox adaptive controller and when i tried it did u work in xbox accessories app pc when i try the left stick shows that it moves only diagonally does not show that it can be moved in all directions do you know what the problem is

What a great design to help those in need. Sadly, a number of the youtubers / streamers have already found a way to abuse the system using these controllers.
If you plug in this controller and play Call of Duty Warzone you end up in "special / closed" lobbies. Those "special" lobbies were set up by activation (the game developers) to help players with special needs to play these games without being throwing into the real world where you have Pros / good or even average players playing.
The youtubers look good when they end up killing 30 players in the lobby and everyone think they're really good players. Meanwhile they actually might be playing against someone who has 8 fingers or only 1 arm or what ever disability they may suffer.
I hope they find a way to fix this

Man I thought of this years ago playing animal crossing for Wii my son controlled the thumb stick and I tell him where to go while I performed the actions with the other controller. Which may I say Wii has the hardest games to control it is not kid friendly.
First of all THIS IS AWESOME!! What you guys are doing. However, I am have been programming and building computers since 1985 on a commadore 64 and apple IIe. I say this because since the revolution, or commonality, of the personal computer I have been disheartened that everyone (especially the industry) thought that all computers had to look and function the same. we were locked in to these lame interface designs. You all have broken the mold for a good purpose. Bout time!!:)
