    Thread the leveling screw in from the bottom. You could lose it eventually if it threads out, but it would give you the angle you're looking for and still allow you to adjust angle when needed.

    Great review, Nate. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion and the pros and cons. I do like the looks of the Invader and hopefully I can try one out for myself.

    Nate, Nice video. Im currently working on one myself. Question for you. When you had the platform collapse and fold up on you while stepping on the back corner, was your cam strap level? I had this happen to me as well. Thanks man!!

      You know I’m not sure. One interesting thing to note is that I saw a video from xop showing a slightly different method of camming the platform than I am used to. This could have been the issue.
      Sorry for the delayed response.

    Thanks for the review. I hope you get a chance to review the Mondo as well at some point. Your review of the Renegade and Edge helped my decision to try them out.

      I think if my viewers have enough interest, there is a good chance I can get my hands on it. How do you like the renegade?

      I just picked it up a couple months ago so I haven’t hunted out of it yet. I’ve played around with it in the yard though and really like it. I was a climbing stand guy who wanted to try out saddle hunting and really thought it was the best way to do it without breaking the bank. I can’t wait to hunt out of it.

      I too would like to see a review on the Mondo. I also use the Renegade and like it. Also I would like to know how you get with the company to have them send you products for review? I wouldn't mind doing them on my channel. If you don't mind me asking.

    I've never seen an aider on a platform before, is that something that you have done on hunts before, or was it just a demonstration?

      I don’t have any inside information. I did see a Facebook post about it just this morning that said they finalize the production colors.

    This vs the predator if u had to buy one today ?

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  Před rokem

      Oh boy. Put me on the spot. Keep in mind that the predator has been my go to saddle platform for the last 3 seasons…so I might have a pretty big bias.
      I would go with the predator for the main reason that it’s easier to pack and the post doesn’t stick out when folded like the invader.
      There is a list of pros and cons for both platforms but I have not had any issues with my predator and the packability is probably the tie breaker for me.

    I've heard rumors of a climbing platform for saddle hunting. If they do that, it's a game changer for me. It would eliminate the need for sticks completely. I know there are guys doing those mods but I'm surprised none of the saddle/treestand companies have not come out with one.

      I don’t have any inside information, but I do believe XOP is working on it. It does seem like a good solution but could be tricky around branches, of course that’s the pain point of nearly every climbing method.

    I'm 5'11", 230lbs. I'm curious how much it would flex on me.
