- How do you know if you're a homesteader? I believe you're born with it, some people will have a desire to live a simple stress free life growing inside them from an early age.
But what if you're born in the city, what if you live way out in the country but not on a homestead? Learning new skills that will benefit you and your family, and becoming part of a community that is focused on living a more eco friendly community driven lifestyle will make you so happy. Learning how to start a homestead isn't difficult when you take the time to practice the skills you'll need to get moving forward on your dream.
In this video I tell you my steps to follow for starting a homestead. I list 5 steps and explain each one for you.

I hope I have my homestead someday. I'm currently 16 and I've been dreaming of living on my own homestead for years. I grew up with a family who loves nature and animals, and in the past couple years I've started doing lots of research and learning little skills that could help me build up to being mostly self reliant as an adult. This year I was set on having chickens for the first time. I built a coop and a pen for them and for Easter this year I got 7 baby chicks. They're laying eggs now! Raising my own chickens was such a great experience and I'm so glad all of them are happy, healthy, and are now laying healthy eggs every day.
You really have a way of making things seem simple and attainable, and I appreciate that.

I had wanted to be a homesteader since I was a child! I grew up in a big city, but it was always in my heart.
I just ordered from Amazon a week go I wish I would've known that as I've been following you for a long time I don't know how I missed that I guess I just didn't take time been busy trying to figure out what state I want to go make my homestead at I have a little boy with diabetes and I live in Arizona and we spend 800 or more on groceries a month and it's killing me I really could use the life of less grocery shopping and so it be perfect I love everything about you I almost think I need to live by you just so that I can be just as good as you everything will be new for me because I don't know anybody in Texas or Tennessee you motivate me in so many ways I know I could do it alone thank you I can't get enough of your videos God bless you and your family

Agreed! I remember wanting to live off the land when I was very young… ages 4, 5 etc. In the early 70s and now I’m 50 and still it rigs at my heart. Enough - I’m making a plan!!!

I love your videos! You inspired me to get my own homestead started and a CZcams channel! My channel is about homesteading from the ground up! We are just now going to use the shed we have to make a barn. We are also doing it small scale like you suggested! I love the videos you do on becoming debit free. We currently no longer have any debit other than our home. Once it's paid down some so we could get a good return its land and cabin for us!! Thank you for all the info!!
