- How To Sharpen a Tungsten Electrode! TIG TUESDAY EP.3
In this video how to sharpen a tungsten electrode I show the basic way to sharpen a tungsten electrode on a grinder and a couple of the different grinds I use while sharpening the different sizes of tungsten.
I sharpen my 1/16 with a steeper blunter tip to help them handle a little higher amperage and voltage.
My 3/32 tungsten I sharpen to a sharp point.
And with 1/9 tungsten i sharpen the to almost a sharp point and then I blunt the tip so they don't dull quickly but retain a precise arc.
these are just the ways I sharpen mine but yours may vary some!
