The Tsuba, Fuchi, and Kashira are expertly made and finely crafted in high quality nickel-silver.
The Emperor's Habaki is also hand made out of nickel-silver, and each hilt is covered in fine ray skin, before being tightly wrapped in the traditional style with lustrous black silk cord.
A beautiful and distinctive Menuki is inserted between the ray skin and the cord wrappings on the handle, serving to further enhance the sword's aesthetic appearance and provide additional grip.
All of the swords in the Emperor Series feature fully sharpened 1055 carbon steel blades, each heat treated to an incredible spring temper. the dragon fly is the best the polish spine and the matte all the way with a smooth point is just perfect!
They should come in very handy if you are ever attacked by a pig carcass or a jug of water.

Keep in mind that these swords are made from Western steel. Traditional Japanese swords are made from pretty bad steel, which is why Western steel was favoured when the Europeans first came to Japan.
These purists insisting that these aren’t real katanas are completely neglecting the fact that real katanas are so much worse.

But It Is The Closest Thing We Have To A Lightsaber In Real Life, (Yes, I Know About The Makeshift Ones With The Scorching Metal Rod And Battery Packs But They Can't Cut For Sh*t.) Which Makes It A Fan Favorite Of Mine.

I think (if there's more people like me), that if you added a naginata or even the nodachi to both the emperor and dragonfly series; you see a lot of sales in those items.

I have an emperor series katana and I've found the worst thing (besides the crappy saya) is the handle. First katana, the handle broke right where the tang ended after just a few test cuts- just tatami mats, too. Correct hand positioning too... So I sent that one back and received a second katana. Equally crappy saya, but no big deal there. Lasted a bit until the handle wrapping came unravelled. Didn't send it back this time, just re wrapped it to be more comfortable- the wrapping was kinda bulky anyhow. The handle still creaks on harder swings so I mostly use it for draw cute.. Hope it holds up now that my kult of Athena warranty is up...

eyepowerz355 Yeah, that’s the only test Cold Steel performs which I’ve always frowned upon because it’s quite dangerous/foolish. Highly impractical and without purpose, the angle bend test is much more viable.
I love CS, but as you said, one false move and that guy is slicing his hand open and falling, or he’s loosing facial tissue.

Digs Fossils-n-Knives Since the Sword Breaker is more for destroying armor, and the katana is more suited for cutting flesh, it's hard to say.
My bet would be that the Chinese war sword would cut better.

Obviously Cold Steel Katanas are NOT made in the genuine manner with tamahagane steel. Yet, I’ve always wondered what sort of feelings/opinions long time martial artists like Isao Machii would have towards something like this.
They seem like they are very durable.

***** Is there a diffence other than maybe visually, between the emperor katana and the warrior katana? Like is there a difference in performance? If so, which one is better. Because I noticed the emperor katana is like $290 more and I didn't know if it was just because the emperor katana maybe had more detail put into it or happens to feature more expensive pieces or what?

No its not.... It isn't the best sword interms of cutting power (it's intended use). A indian talwar and a chinese warsword...outcut the katana. And swords like a messer or a european falchion easily match the cutting power of the katana

They don't even swing the Katana properly, there is no torque on the handle to increase blade speed and they also don't withdrawal the attack causing the edge to cut like its intended to, they just grip the thing and swing it completely wrong! Some of these guys are going to hurt themselves or have a heart attack, I think Bruno there had the most fun when he threw the sword like a dart and pierced the pig but then his coolness was null and void when his flunko swing didn't even sever the body in half the first time, damn that pig skin is tough!!!

Scordisci Because a lot of these guys are just swinging it as hard as possible with not such good technique.
I give them credit for wielding the Katana's and Tanto's, but they are clearly trying way to hard in the demonstrations. I know what you are saying: "It is a demonstration, they don't have to or blah blah."
I know that, but goodness, focus and strike decently at least.
"Record cuts"
Do not tell me record cuts when I many have watched demos from 1970's cutting much more than a pig and ropes. May I direct you to Isao Machii, The Korean Army, and more of the sort.
Look I am not trying to insult anyone or anything, but record cuts...A+ for effort.
Good for them, also we cut diameters not lengths. Also I have seen female sports cut them and succeed no problem, even I can. Dunno when they were records, but grats on that.
Again, just saying they need to distribute their body wait better and they wouldn't have minor flukes like what's his name cutting the pig, happened twice I believe.
Do not get me wrong it is pretty tough, I have cut ropes before sir, some with ease. I will be more than happy to check out the video no problem.
Just saying if the stances were more stable and the demonstrators more focused they will have a waaaaay better cut with minimal to no flukes. Either that or it's the blade.
Oh I know all that, this is not new to me. I was thinking that you refined the blades before each cut or something, but it seem not so from what you state. For that I am sorry for my input.
Grats on your faculty. Again I know this, learning any blade art is not easy, very strenuous and tedious to master yes. Just tipping tis all I was doing about that. I was just comparing and contrasting your staff to other staff I have seen that is all. Your staff is great do not get me wrong, just I personally as in (my opinion) have seen better. Of course there is always someone better am I right?
Oh yes, a blade can get really ugly real fast. It can hit harder than drugs hit a person. Also again I did not know it was a endurance test, I thought it was a sure strike test.
I wouldn't say a few really, there are huge divisions in multiple countries testing blades out breaking all sorts of records. Yeah most have turned to projectile weaponry i.e guns, but they mostly still do bladed.

you guys should learn the proper way of swinging a katana it will greatly improve the method of cutting those that u had to swing twice can be done with 1 swing but with the proper technique (just saying)

You obviously didn't do much searching or research. This blade goes for around 400 and I've seen many say it outperforms hanwei.
