- Welcome back folks. On this episode, we clean up another almighty garden disaster. The owner of the property is an elderly lady, and after her husband passed she found it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to maintain her garden. With little help from her family, nothing was going to change until she called us! The husband used to keep this area pristine, and in this episode we give it a new lease on life. Perhaps not how it was, but so much better. This one has everything - mowing, pruning, weed whacking, trimming, hedging, rubbish removal and power washing just for your entertainment. This makeover took us around 1.5 - 2 days to complete, and we took out around 3 trailer loads of green waste to the landfill.
Originally, it was done over 2 episodes, but I have done another mega edit and made it into a deluxe version.

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved. - Zábava
The owners husband obviously was a keen gardener and enjoyed many hours designing and planting. Even a small garden takes consistent maintenance so a garden of this size is a huge commitment. Hopefully she will be able to consider letting you reduce some of the garden infrastructure to simplify the maintenance. It won’t detract from the garden and may even allow her to enjoy a better view of some of those special plantings he put in. Great job.

A monumental yard clean up, George! Superbly achieved. I shouldn't dream of castigating you for the hard prune back of the fruit trees; you didn't cause the issues with them, and it needed to be done; you did what you had to do. They will soon grow back again, better and stronger. Whatever your quote was for this job, it wasn't enough, lol. This was a major chore by the look of it, but a thoroughly enjoyable video. - often changing camera position
- every paper is cleaned up, I mean very detailed work
- same amount of care for backyard, not just front yard
- very calming music

Hard prunes for fruit trees in that state are nearly a must. The weight of the fruit can cause drooping and snapping in winds. I liked this re-edit with the voice over intro; very nice. And it’s always a bonus to get to watch you prune roses, you do it so well.
