Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings-some good, some bad-and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from any one else: he is a robot.

The real theme of this film: People with bad haircuts have a really hard time aiming.
And robots are idiots. If he had picked up and used the detonater earlier his friends wouldn't have been killed. I'm watching this video going hellooo dumass detonater right there pick it up.
They dial the elevation of the rear sight to max thinking the higher number means a more powerful shot
Hey, don’t shit on South African gangsters like that
Helldivers needs this thing as a boss fight.
In a way, they do, its called the gunships
Trash game
Chappie and terminator just got to be my favorite robot movies❤
m.w.o should be your favourite game then - that is a Marauder IIC with jump jets
8:09 This scene looks so epic as instead of angel a robot coming to take his life away.

9 years passed since I watched this on theater, and still don't goddamn know why he suddenly became sacrificing hero.
"I'm gonna draw this thing away from us." And it worked, he bought them enough time to blow up the Moose.
he didn’t save them he just wanted to save his sister
@@thoughts359his sister? isn't she her girlfriend?
For anyone curious and who doesn't know, Ninja and (im not sure of her name in the movie but Ninja's girl) Yolanda are part of Die Antword. Look em up, you might know some of their music.
Given some of die antwords antics in the last few years?
Ya know, when it was blind I will never understand why Chappie just ignored the old detonator until it was right in his face. You'd think that at that very important point you would aim to grab that asap. Would've saved so much hassle.
This woman is insane.
Great movie
Magnificent 🤗🥰❤️
The one thing that I’ve always thought was really stupid about this movie is the fact that seemingly the first people that these robotics people are sending their robots to be used for is in police work. Don’t get me wrong having robotic police officers alongside human ones would probably be an absolutely brilliant thing to have especially in more high crime areas.
But at the same time, the other robot the moose I believe it’s called. I don’t exactly see how that would work into a police mentality. Hugh Jackman’s character constantly trying to get that robot into police use I feel is the reason why he kept failing at. Honestly that robot probably should’ve been better suited for military applications. Not be that, but since when does the police robot require cluster munitions?
But overall, I think robots like this their first application would be in military application applications. Probably not for direct combat, but maybe for more menial things.
One thing that I remember from my time in the military was that there was a philosophy for the development of things like drones and such. And they were called the “Three Ds” which stood for “dull, dirty, dangerous“
Essentially using robots like either the smaller ones or the larger one in areas where it might not be fully conducive to use a living human being they could probably do it.
This is one of the good things about unmanned air vehicles. UAV doesn’t have a mother. So they are not expendable due to their sheer monetary cost. They are able to mitigate risk.
So robots like this would be perfect for these kinds of things. Again, they’re not expendable, but they would be able to mitigate risk.
Another thing could be that they would be ideal for things like perimeter defense. After all aside from a recharge on their power supply. Along with maybe some regular maintenance they largely don’t need a whole lot. You wouldn’t need to have to worry about food, lodging, or other kind of logistics. I don’t think robots would ever truly supplant human soldiers, but I can definitely see them as beingadditions to various military forces.
Budddyyyy, it is a movie. Why are you using logic to dissect it? If you can accept that robots are going to be sentient then why quibble as to whether cluster ordnance can be used by a police rather than a military robot. 🙄
@@teeanahera8949 its expensive its big and its ugly
you're forgetting that this is south africa. the regular cops are useless
