I still revisit this game regularly after all these years. I don't always play all the way through; I just love revisiting my childhood from time to time. I fell in love with this game at the time. I begged my parent to buy me a Master System just so I could play this game. Little did my parents know at the time that I would hook the system up to the black and white portable tv that was powered by twelve D batteries at night, and I would play for hours until the wee hours of the morning. I can't tell you how many school days that were ruined by this game. Still, I wouldn't take back a second.

I boot up the original cartridge just to see if the battery kept the saves. 2024, my saves from 1996 are still there.

@@JamesShowso what are you going to do when it finally goes dead ? Celebrate or mourn

@@Willrocs mourn for sure even though rumor at the time of release was the battery should have lasted 10 years so even when I bought the used copy (I think I kept the receipt and it was like $15) I thought I had like 3 years or so left to beat it.

I LOVED this game. I played it on my Genesis with the Master System adapter. I never finished it... I now have it on my Switch but haven't played it (angry at myself for not playing)

I haven't played this one yet but that opening theme is burned into my brain because its in an easter egg in PSO2: New Genesis :)
