This video was just a quick little sales ad for another website. The camera + gimbal was then sold and I no longer have it (since june 2022).
- Sony FDR-AX700 with Ulanzi Handle Grip R005 Cold Shoe Mount, 6 batteries (small ones), Pol-filter PD-CPL 62mm, Remote Control JJC RM-VPRI and Zhiyun Weebill S gimbal with extra handheld grip tripod.

Yo tengo el Weebill S. & Sony Z90 y se acopla a la perfección. Hay que quitarle el asa XLR y la goma del visor pará que se adapte a las medidas y en el agujero de tornillos del asa ponerle un contrapeso y ya sé puede equilibrar perfectamente no choca con nada incluido cuando haces el efecto volter. 👍

Thank you for sharing. I would not believe using these 2 were possible. I have these at my disposal and tried to use it together. But when the AX 700 is balanced on the Weebil S, there is not enough clearance for the back of the camera, namely the eye viewer, to pass by the gimbal. When I tried this, there was only a very small amount of space needed. And you can't disassemble the eye viewer on the camera. With that happening, I've been exploring other gimbals that would work with the AX 700. Did you push the camera a bit forward on the base plate so that it can freely move on the back end? And won't this strain the gimbal motors and batteries? Thanks.
No I did not. The camera is 100% balanced in all 3 axes. But I also have the top handle grip mounted, which changes the weight distribution (have you thought about that?). In addition, I have a small metal block mounted (with duct tape) under the battery for perfect balance - you can see it in the video.
My only question is can you zooming the lens ?

Well, about the zoom in and zoom out (1:32), was it done via wireless? Or bluetooth? Or wire? And was it some built-in feature of the camera (FDR-AX700) or via some other mean? I'm confused, as far as I know, usually those action (zoom in, out, focus etc) done via app and bluetooth; but if we use Android / iOS. Never heard on this kind of camera.

I though that the camera had an inbuilt stabiliser inside it the Balanced Optical Steady System.
Yes, that's a fair question. But these are two different worlds. As I wrote in another comment, you can compare it to a car, where the built-in stabilizer corresponds to how soft the seats in the car are, while a gimbal corresponds to the car's suspension system. The built-in stabilizer only holds the lens, while a gimbal holds the entire camera. There is a huge difference! If, for example, you walk around with the camera in your hand and move up and down relatively quickly, the built-in stabilizer cannot do the job at all, whereas a gimbal stabilizes the entire camera completely, so that the movements are not experienced in the same way. Hope this helped with an explanation.
Oh yeah, and I can add that when using a gimbal you will often disable the built-in stabilizer so that the image becomes more fluid. For example, there is a clip here of a car driving over the bridge shot with slow shutter. Several similar clips follow in the same video. The camera has built-in image stabilization, but for much better stabilization you need a gimbal. It is not included with the camera.

Thanks for the great Video, have noticed you have a Duracell battery in the Camcorder is they're room for the Sony Battery or would I have to purchase the Duracell battery?
I think to remember that there is room for the small Sony batteries, but I can't test it now because I don't have this gear anymore.
I was actually expecting you to show us how to stabilize the camera on the gimbal. Does it require any extra parts or the Zhiyun is just perfect to mount it up. I have the ZHiyun and thinking of buying the camera soon.
The camera fits nicely on the Weebill with the small batteries without additional parts. However, I have fitted a small metal block under the battery to achieve 100% balance. Pay attention to having the screen turned out when setting the balancing so that the weight distribution is correct when using the camera turned on.

I have a question, how did you remove the multi-interface shoe (hot shoe) cover?
The FDR-AX700's multi-interface shoe has a special shape. How did you attach the Ulanzi handle grip?
The cover is fixed with a pin. It's a bit like the pin that holds a watch strap. You have to press it from both sides, after which you can pull it out and remove the cover.
On the Ulanzi I loosened the screw completely and pressed the handle down into the hot shoe - and in addition I filed a bit of plastic off the back on the edge of the hot shoe hole.

Sí, no funcionará. No hay espacio para baterías grandes. Esta configuración requiere baterías pequeñas. 2 de las baterías (Duracell) están balanceadas con un disco de metal en la parte inferior (y cinta) para que el peso coincida con la calibración con el estabilizador Weebill.

Hello!
The cable from the Gimbal to the camera, where do you connect in the camera? Can you then start the camera and zoom from the Gimbal?
This gimbal is not compatible with this camera and vice versa, so therefore I use an external wired remote control (JJC RM-VPRI) mounted on the gimbal handle with strips. The cable from the remote control is, as I recall, mini-usb, which is connected to the camera's front mini-usb input (not sure if I remember the definition of the plug correctly - it's years ago now).

mind if I ask how you attcahed top handle? i mean...i have "uurig top handle" now and tried it but it failed because it is impossible to attach it because of limit of the space.

It's not comparable. Built-in IS vs. an external gimbal works in very different ways. It's like asking if a car needs suspension if it has soft seats.

It would be a fine camcorder if: sony wouldn't be so greedy to fit a Pressure sensitive touch screen instead of capacitive one ( in 2018!!!) That's a killer. and it spoils every other good features on this camcorder... During recording, selecting focus is a pain: you press hard on the screen until it accepts the change- and inadvertently you move the camera many times, makit to shake, move- is anything just not smooth operation. using the joystick is useless.. probably saving $100 from a normal ( that"s normal in these days) capacitive screen, they made the operation very frustrating exercise. I used mine only once- since sitting in a box waiting for a buyer.

You don't need a mic for every shooting situation 🤣 and there are def ways to mount the mic on the gimbal.

It is controlled by how hard you press the zoom button
Is the top handle required for this setup to work fine?
@@Luko007 A little extra weight is required at the rear to change the weight distribution so it can be balanced. The top handle helps with that, as well as a small weight block under the battery. I have already explained this in other comments.
I just bought a Weebill S and finally got my AX700 balanced on it, but I had to add a lot of back weight (adhesive wheel weights on the battery).
