Good real world demo. Digital zoom still sucks, but clear view is quite usable. So far I'm loving the auto focus tracking feature.

Thanks for posting this review. I own AX100 (3.5 years) and I have been waiting impatiently for the new model.
Unfortunately it looks like AX700 has not improved on the image stabilization, and it did not introduce 60fps mode in 4K. The good news is the improved speed of the auto-focus.
I am not clear regarding two other areas when comparing AX700 to AX100:
1. Do you feel like the low light sensitivity has been improved?
2. Is the rolling shutter effect been reduced in the new model?

I think the biggest difference for me is that the AX700 can film in HDR.
I've used the AX100 for about the same amount of time and shoot most of my CZcams stuff with it. Like you, I've been waiting for its successor. Outside of HDR, which I'm not really concerned with at the moment, I'm not sure there's enough in it to go to the AX700, although the 700 would be an easy choice if buying fresh and not upgrading. at 1080p : 250 fps, 500fps, 1000 fps (50i) / 240 fps, 480, 960 fps (60i)

Excellent video image quality. Absolutely lovely. I have watched your videos you made with GH5, and this AX700 is at least as great, as for autofocus it is much better. I was working with the AX700, and it is significantly different from the AX100 for handling: the AX700 is derived from the X70, not from the AX100; it has a huge bright excellent viewfinder together with a joystick under your right hand thumb, totally different shooting style from the AX100/XF400. The AX700 has the same phase detection sensor as in the RX10IV, for video AF it is stellar (see 4:13)

oui sans problème car c'est une caméra sans vraie concurrence. Mais consultez le test écrit ( www.magazinevideo.com/test-en-ligne/test-complet-sony-fdr-ax700/37001.htm ), les fichiers natifs et les tutos ( www.magazinevideo.com/video/tuto-sony-ax700-nx80-z90-presentation-generale/37473.htm ) si vous le pouvez, ils comportent plein de détails que ne peuvent montrer la vidéo.

My ax 700 camcorder, when recording a long clip without interruption, but when I upload the video to my computer, it is divided into different videos with the same length. Please just help with the adjustments so that it doesn't break to such a small file. thanks
Because the card format. If you want record long time video. Only hard drive can do it.

Yes it is in MP4 but MP4 isn't a format. It's just an extension, so you can't say "MP4 is bad". You can choose between the formats XAVC-S 4K or XAVC-S HD or AVCHD. The XAVC-S format is good.

Why most people obses with videography in dslr/mirrowless camera meanwhile it main purpose is to capture image, then complain it have many issue.. Camcoder main purpose for video, with better quality and better performance, but people ignore it.. People are stupid

Can the FDR-AX700 shoot video in 1080i? I cannot find that option in the menus.
I don't know the answer. But you know what ? Sony has released an instruction manual in all languages. I'm sure you will find the english instruction manual on the Web. And I'm sure the answer to your question is inside.

Bonjour! Que pensez-vous de cette caméra par rapport à un boitier micro 4/3 genre gh4 ou Gh5? L'image de cette caméra me semble plus agréable et veloutée. Peut être est-ce du à la HDR?
Bonjour, c'est une question à laquelle il est difficile de répondre car les usages de ces deux types de caméras sont si différents. On retouve une puissance de paramétrages quasi aussi puissante sur les deux boîtiers. En tout cas le "velouté" n'est pas dû à la HDR, puisque les images ne sont pas tournées en HLG (l'une des courbes qui permet d'accéder au HDR) hormis une seule. Mais peut-être tout simplement aux couleurs automnales... ? Pour voir la HLG, il faut une TV compatible. Je vous conseille d'échanger sur ce sujet dans notre Forum (c'est gratuit) forum.magazinevideo.com ou de télécharger les fichiers bruts (accès Premium)

Les fichiers videos sont t ils decoupes automatiquement(cf: limitation de la taille des fichiers videos sur axr53) ou restent ils entier?
La limitation sur les caméras, elle n'existe pas en soi, contrairement à la plupart des appareils photo (hors GH4R, GH5, FZ2000...). Cependant on a forcément affaire à une partition en FAT32 et donc environ 4 Go par fichier. Mais sur la la time-line, les fichiers s'enchaînent correctement, sans aucune perte d'image. Je vous invite à consulter nos articles techniques ou à en discuter sur le Forum car on sort du cadre de ce test, ce découpage étant propre à toutes les caméras...

I am a user of this camera and I can say that I am quite disappointed by the fact that many of the focus settings are disabled when recording at 1080 100p. Most are disabled. You can not either use the autofocus mode during slow-motion recording which is very complicated unless you are a professional. In the manual of the camera is indicated with a very small letter. I think they are important points that the user should know and should be warned

Dans les grandes lignes, capteur 1 pouce, Autofocus, réglages manuels et filtres ND, et les Picture Profile / réglages Gamma à la pelle. Pour les détails, un test complet (accès) existe dont le lien figure dans le Descriptif.

@@pavelavietor1 I shooted in 4K 25p (XAVC-S) and changed the camera settings all the time, depending on the circumstances. I don't remember the settings of so many footages because I shooted more than three years ago... I took time to shoot. "Depht of filed" : give me eventually the time-code counter.

Hi, because you (or CZcams possibly) have a problem, not the video ! The video is in 4K, it is specified in the title. Supposition : if the speed of your web connection is disrupted, CZcams adapts the speed to the minimum.

interchangeable lenses, MOVIE quality video, and under a grand if u get a referb model, WAAAAYYY under a grand, like $400
