If too many people come here it'll be a "Pana-monium." No but seriously #Panama really is like the "bridge between two worlds" linking North and South. And now they've become a sort of "Singapore-esque" nation with lots going on. ENJOY! Feel free to let me know anything I should've added to this episode!

@@Destroyer-od5dm yes and no. Separatist were of course nowhere near happy with the central government, however the video does give a hint and what actually happened. The Colombian government did not want the US involvement on the construction of the canal, so the US sold the separatist the idea that they would support independence without requiring anything back from them, so afterwards the US basically invaded Colombia and send also warships to block the Colombian ports. Once Panama was granted independence under this amicable environment, the US flexed their muscles again against the separatist, making them sign a treaty that would give the US complete control of the canal forever.
Basically the US used their well known "bigger army diplomacy" against everyone involved just meet their goals.

They also only found a foot with the sneaker still on. And an animal wouldn't be able to eat that.
