Timo is doing really well I think considering he only came in in January and was thrown right into a high pressure situation and into the deep end in a brand new team in a new country looking to win games straight away - he has settled in really well all things considered and his speed and energy has added a lot to the Spurs team. I think he will only get better going forward once he goes through a whole pre season with the squad

I'm not entirely sure those saying this is attacking and fun actually watch the full 90 minutes.
For about 75 minutes yesterday we passed it sideways and backwards and barely laid a glove on them.
We're easy to defend against and, realistically, had Anderson not got tackled by Johnson, probably wouldn't have lost their heads and fell apart.
15 minutes masked 75 awful minutes of passing for passing sake.

Spot on. It was possession football for 65mins till Palace scored then it woke up Spurs. They reacted to the goal and started to play with more urgency, quicker on the ball, more movement off the ball, started to attack. 1st half was pass to you pass to me but everyone was static and more passing passing to nowhere no shots.
@samuelsquires423 that's not entirely incorrect. We played exactly the same against Wolves and were dismal. Because we didn't get the points people criticise the performance. If you squinted against Palace you could have been watching a repeat of the Wolves game.
It's a pretty basic stance to think that we played well because we won and badly because we lost. We played well and lost at home to Villa, but played badly and won vs Brentford and Palace (and others)
And it's boring. It's at least as boring as it was under Conte and fans were frothing at the mouth with rage about his style.
@matthewnicholas6365 hahah, how quickly we forget. We had about 90% of the ball against a bus. That's nearly always boring for long periods. There's no way Conte was as entertaining. Never satisfied 😌 1 minute of patience will do wonders.
@samuelsquires423 I didn't say Conte wasn't boring. I said having the ball, allowing the opposition to get back into shape every time and passing pointless passes for passing sake IS boring.
You can be just as boring WITH the ball as without it.
Ange did not deserve that award..that Chelsea game comes to mind.

You see the FA and Sky have to lift up clubs like Spurs because we finish top 4 every season and never do anything. Sky have to make this top 4 nonsense look like it means something. The truth is that Vicario has made some brilliant saves but he's conceded 39 goals already and that's because Ange leaves us so open at the back for 90 plus minutes with his gung ho, kamikaze football approach. We've seen this before in the Premier League with Leeds and it was called "Bielsa Ball.". Leeds worked so hard but lost a lot of games because they were so open at the back and this led to them dropping into the Championship.
As embarrassing as it is for Ange to win an award on the back of “fun football”, it’s all the more embarrassing for Arteta to lose an award on this basis 😂

Timo should play as false 9 if Richie is out. Sonny being the better winger and can beat his man. If Timo plays inside he will have the benefit of his right foot..😅 . Playing inverted does not help. I think he would hold the ball up much better than Sonny and still have that pace to get behind the central defence. Much different than beating a fullback on the wing lots more to do after that.

Ange is the new Bielsa who plays Kamikaze football without the quality players needed to play it.
Werner for me is a bundle of nerves, he might be okay to have coming off the bench but we need two top quality wingers of Son's level if we're to have any chance of winning trophies. We need a bigger, quicker right back than Porro and a good backup for Undogie. In Pedro Porro, I already think he's our future right wing forward.
Plus two more top midfielders with composure on the ball under pressure.

@@roo4d518 He'd be a much better wing forward, his defending isn't great and he's been wasted in that position for me.
Porro gets round the outside of players where Kulu constantly cuts in. Porror has a good cross on him too and I see him having 10 goals a season from the wing with five or 7 assists. Son needs help up front, Maddison can't do it all. It's all well for Werner, Kulu and Richarlison who mainly score against the lower teams. We needs more players with quality up forward.
