R.I.P John, if only Kevin Reeves had not got injured in Jan 1984, Burnley probably would have gone up in 83-84

Every time I watch a John Bond interview he’s having a pop at Malcolm Allison

Remember him patronising Malcolm Allison during the behind the scenes programme on Man City. The cheeky $%#$ - one genius as a trainer, one c untr y bumpkin.

If Reeves hadn't been injured Burnley would have gone up. Unfairly pilloried later by Burnley fans.

He almost completely destroyed the fabric of the club, quite rightly pilloried and it took a generation to recover

What was it about him that made Burnley fans hate him?

He should have stayed in Norwich, or at Norwich even. it started going tits up when he took over at Man City thinking theyd win the FA Cup in '81. He had a decent run at the Canaries but after that , forget it.

Alan Corbett City fans at the time loved him, as he took 'em from bottom of the 1st Division without a win to mid-table and Wembley.

Destroyed BFC so much it took years and years to recover and he knew it when we went to shrewsbury in a cup game (which we won 2-1) he was their manager but dressed up as a steward at the back of their stand tells you everything
