Surprised you could make this list and not mention Josh Allen, the Edge Rusher for the Jacksonville Jaguars, when he’s top 5 in sacks and top 10 in pressures on the season
I think he’s always been an elite pass rusher so it is kind of irrelevant as we always getting paid he definitely made himself a lot more money but point still stands
@@v0lium uh he’s on the last year of his contract, which is his rookie contract. It’s easy to restructure contracts and Khan has shown he’s willing to do that. Kinda ignorant take buddy
@@AtlasAdvice254 Man these guys DON'T know what they are talking about regarding Josh Allen. Dude is in LAST year of his Rookie contract....they chose NOT to extend him earlier...as a 7 overall pick he has been good at times but NOT been elite...until THIS YEAR where he has been a MONSTER...NOW either Jags PAY him $100m deal...or Franchise him...if he was NOT a monster this year ...he still would get paid somehow...but BECAUSE hes a Monster THIS Year...hes not just gettin paid...hes gonna get PAID...and good for him he deserves it! Dude WANTS to be great!
I mean you can just pick and choose, which players on that ravens defense are about to get paid this offseason. Clowney career year, Madabuike career year, Queen having a great year, Geno Stone 6 INT's has been great in coverage. Makes this season so important for Baltimore cause probably at least 3 of these guys are leaving in the offseason.
For sure, many reasons for this being a big year in expectations for the team along with Lamar's bjg contract not really kicking in yet. I think they will prioritize Madubuike, Queen, Stone, Clowney in that order.
I was bout to make this exact comment too. I think depending on how Madubukie finished out the season I think he'll get signed, geno stone will get signed for nothing too crazy, and queen will get tagged. I dont see any way we keep clowney with the importance of the other 3 this year
absolutely. of all my fb feeds. this one is 100% fb and 0% bullshit. It's also enormously entertaining without being stupid. This channel should be blowing up.
Glad you've mentioned the Ravens' Justin Madubuike - I'm quite sure he's gonna get a TON of money next off season. The guy is a monster with no particular injury history and any kind of character and off-the-field issues - and is at his peak age at 26, four years younger than Clowney, a player with a considerable injury history. I'm quite sure he has priced himself out of the Ravens' price range and will get a career defining contract from an organization with more cap space. If nothing happens to him between now and free agency in 2024, I fully expect him to haul in easily the largest contract of any current Ravens player signing a contract in 2024. And whoever gets him will have a fantastic player for long years to come.
Good breakdown overall. My two nits are that I think you are overselling Brown’s value, given the number of talented WRs are coming out of college every year who come with cheap rookie deals, and you are putting too much importance on the age of OL men. It is one of the few position groups where personnel often play at a high level into their mid/late 30s (assuming they can play at a high level at all).
Two things regarding this video and channel: this is an amazing channel that I have watched for nearly a year and two I just subscribed because of how good this channel’s video are being both informative and well produced.
I love how wrapped around the axle some folks get about Clowney and his draft position. He’s been a treat his entire NFL career, he will get some dough this offseason.
As for Clowney, I don't think he'll get a big contract - and not because of his peformance, but the fact that he will probably only sign a contract towards the end of the off-season, maybe early pre-season, when teams have already spent most of their available cap space. At least that's how he's been operating...
As a Dallas fan I'm surprised to see Connor Williams on this list. In his tenure with the team he was BAD, (thats why we let him walk) always holding and getting beat. Maybe he just needed a change of scenery and a new position. Maybe the coaches should have put him at Center, either way good for him becoming a starter and potentially getting paid
Talent was never the issue with Williams, it was that he killed drives with penalties in his years with Dallas. Glad it’s working out for him; dude has been a monster in the past two season.
I honestly hope he goes elsewhere. The Jags drafted disastrously last season & they're already failing in ways & at things we thought they fixed *last* season. I hate to see good talent get wasted on badly managed teams & before hitting their height, the Jags are already stumbling into a low trend that no one is forcing them towards. I'd love to see him go to Cincy instead or... Buffalo. "And the announcers are confused as Josh Allen is playing both sides of the field."
@@DayMatoi Good point. I got ahead of myself. Pretty much everyone thinks McDermott will be gone next season after clearly holding onto Dorsey way too long, then completely throwing away last week's game with his defensive play-calling. After everything the players did to win that game, the hope is that McD lost the room & ownership will recognize this.
@@asare240 What are _you_ talking about? He should stay on a team on its way down because this year has been great? While everyone else got future o-linesmen like Skowronski & Wright, TEs like Kincaid & Washington the Jags got Brenton Strange. And... that's it. Marvin Harrison jr I would bet goes #1 overall to Chicago I don’t see them moving on from Justin fields yet specially when non of the QB’s in this class are generational talents yes that includes Caleb Williams probably the 2nd qb off the board behind drake Mayes
I think you might be overstating the importance of Arizona having used a trade to get Hollywood Brown. It really doesn't matter going forward because the trade has already been made and you're not going to get that pic back whether you keep the guy or cut/ trade the guy. I think he's definitely a second-tier number two and so I do not see big money coming his way. What I don't know enough about is the free agent market for wide receivers but I do know that this draft class is going to be very deep and you can probably pick up a number two in the third round. I'm definitely not saying that Arizona is going to do that because they have other needs but I am not overly enthused about Hollywood Brown and I can't imagine that Arizona is either. I'm guessing that it will be a team friendly deal but still one where he probably does get overpaid for his actual value.
It’s always baffled me when Vikings fans were talking about trading Hunter this season and then hear them talking about how we need to target dline in the draft..
Still would like to have better dts and maybe idk another hunter on the other side give no qb a chance to beat them on the edge while having those strong dts to push the line right up on the qb collapsing the pocket all around and having an insurance policy for hunter to have leverage on that deal. Right now hunter has all the power and will get paid a high end contract somewhere it's up to the vikings to dish out the money if they can
I'm trying to figure why hunter shouldn't get a contract that has the same perimeters like bosa, what makes Daniel more injury pron than bosa,I'm sure if do checks Bosa on average has missed more games than bosa.
I’m sorry, but I don’t see the Cardinals getting MHJ when the Bears are ahead of them. Eberflus/Getsky have shown next to no promise this season so far to be chosen over Justin Fields, and pick Caleb Williams as the QB of the future going forward. They both need to be fired/replaced this season, and have MHJ and Olu drafted to support Justin Fields.
