This song is still so hard for me to listen to. When this song came out, I was in my teens, a very dear 13 year old friend (she was more like a little sister) died tragically in a car accident. Every time I hear this song, it takes me instantly back to the night of her accident and her death. Rest in Peace my “little sister” Andrea! 😢

I can't argue his talent; his voice is very expressive. And he's had a number of hits to add to his appeal and popularity.

People gave Michael Bolton and Kenny G both a lot of crap for being what we would call Easy Listening, but some of the best singers were in the Easy Listening category (I mean, nobody can say Crosby Stills and Nash aren't fantastic). Kenny G was great at his saxophone and did amazing things with it, and Michael Bolton had a fabulous voice. People made jokes that he was like Fabio from the front of the romance novel covers, and that his music was for women, and so he kind of got slept on. It's nice to see people giving him the props he deserves now.
