I lost my husband suddenly, on Valentine's Day, left with our 5 kids ages 6 to 23. I woke and found his body. Life shattered. He was my world my entire adult life, widowed at 41. You go into shock, survival, and it is worse than you even think it could be. Just 4 weeks later my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she quickly died. It's a blur. It's like a tornado went through our lives, and I don't even recognize the world without my husband. Most of me died that day too, but you just focus on getting the kids through. I had such a beautiful, happy life for so long, but boy, then you are not prepared when everything shatters. Suddenly the past, present & future is just painful.
My heart goes out to you Betsy, I will offer you all up to God during Communion the next time I am at Catholic Mass 🙏❤ 🕯

Betsy, I feel you. My mother buried her mother then my father buried his mother. Now my mother buried my father and she is so lost without him. We all are he was our matriarch. My mother is still sad but keeps herself busy. Something just feels missing and I guess always will. I will keep you in my prayers. Like my daddy always said time heals wounds...

Today I was thinking about Natasha losing her life so tragically and how beautiful and vibrant she was on screen. I then came across this, she was one of earth's Angels, my heart breaks for her loved ones x

So true! But this is incredible! I lost my parents suddenly within 2 yrs of each other and this felt much like my life. I was lost and couldn’t find a way to wholeheartedly embrace my children. My grief was overwhelming and I missed being the mom I wanted to be because of that. It’s been years, a lot of soul searching and have found a way back to being the mom I’ve always wanted to be for my boys. Seeing this through Liam’s eyes I understand and thank him for sharing his beautiful story♥️ God Bless this family!!!

I've read so many stories of people coming back from so called brain dead.
I would of waited.
. During one of his movies” The other man” with Antonio Banderas, I noticed Liam’s incredible sadness in his eyes. You could almost touch it.
A sudden and unexpected death is like a physical blow to your whole body there’s no preparation no goodbyes it’s absolutely earth shattering I hope with all my heart that you and your precious boys remember the good happy times with your wife to get you through this. ❤️🌹

I have never been so upset as when l heard of her death. I've spoken to so many people about you and her.
She was an exquisite Lady and is now an Angel.

It happened to me when my husband died and for 5 years he's with me, in the car, reminding me to drive carefully , and the time if he's buying watermelon every day at 10am. I can hear him coming and put the key to the door knob. He just let me go when I stay at my daughter and son-in-law's house. I think that's what he wants that I have somebody around to feel that I'm not alone. 14 years now and I didn't find somebody to replace him in my heart.
I understand. I miss Dave my husband who died of cancer in 1999. Still.......
I also miss The Love Of My Life.. Jake passed away on May 12, 2017.. Four days after his birthday.. he was only 43 years old.. I still miss him.. 😢

That makes me cry but inspires me. My sweetheart of 58 years died one year ago after 58 years of true love. I looked after him for eight years with Alzheimer’s but when he he developed cancer I had to put him in a rest home. I brought him home three times before I could let go. I had a medical mishap with medication and can’t walk. I love nature and have my garden cared for. I just long to see my beloved again. Being so old all my dear friends have passed. Perhaps if young and able I would make new friends. I suppose it comes to us all eventually.

I’ve had 14 months now and it does get easier with time but I still don’t sleep well and a day never goes by without wanting to tell him something. Everyone’s different. I don't know Liam, but it was very clear to see that he was hurting so deeply and in such pain all these years after her tragic death, and I was obviously concerned for the boys. I'm happy to hear there has been some healing. I have always liked him as an actor and they seemed like a beautiful couple together.

The grief u feel never goes away , it changes with how u learn to handle it everyday. It's a rough process to go thru and everyone handles it differently. Grief is love with no place to go. 💔 so glad he did this movie with his son, it helped them learn to deal with it 2gether.

Natasha seemed like such a lovely person. Someone you could always count on to be gracious and sooth things over! The grief over the loss of such a person is just unimaginable! Liam's attempts to express his pain here is absolutely heartbreaking! May time help ease the heartache but we know he will always have a big gaping hole in his heart that he can never fill!

In 2018, seven of my family members passed. Including my mom and my 33 yr old son. My dad crossed over 3 years before that. I understand how hard grieving is. I also know, that they are all still with us. Their souls are eternal. Their spirit guides me. I am so glad you found your way Liam Neeson. Your son will be so much stronger and whole because of it. My Father has just had pancreatitis, he told me it was a redemption for him to drink water and eat something after 10 days not eating-not drinking anything. He got intestine feeding + infusion, he was not allowed to drink water in this crazy hot weather. He came home and it was the first time I heard my Father saying this word "redemption".

Born again Christians have God's peace in knowing they'll see their loved one again, if they also were born again Christians. I have that peace, as both of my parents "moved to Heaven," one in 1999, the other in 2007.
Grief to me since the year 2000 losing one loved one after another a knock on effect, a feeling of being completely in another world as if on drugs, not unlike concussion, being an alien to whatever is going on and then there is a moment of peace until one anticipates the next encounter being triggered a disabling the thoughts to get on with life that leaves me in isolation and reclusiveness. Rarely do i go anywhere and always feel targeted when i do go out to the point i don't want to go anywhere and so i stay home with my agoraphobic safety and i do not want it that way, so i am going to look up the suggestion on this page of neurofeedback therapy and try to help myself as i do not seem to get the right help from the doctors except for a poisonous diagnosis to totally different symptoms in the first place.

It might be helpful to harness your understanding of grief - use it to help others, a support group where people share experiences but always focus on moving forward.
It's just a thought, reach out ... if you do, someone will grasp your hand.
Please, don't be, or feel alone. You don't have to be.

Grief is overwhelming when you love a person who is still living. A person who chose not to allow the strong attachment to them because they valued their freedom more than love. Selfishness is a win for them. The grieving person must create a double helix to survive. The only way is to publicly acknowledge the attachment while also acknowledging the separation. The human heart must be transparent. It’s the only way to let love come out on top. The only way to move beyond the grief is to transfer that love on to others. To conquer the grief.
My daughter valued her freedom. But I got glimpses of her and we told each other how.much we loved each other. She passed last year and it was the biggest loss for me and her 2 children. I don't think u ever get over losing your daughter or mother.x

Death of a loved one is the worst thing a human has to bear. And yes life is too short. I now feel able to share that I lost my 43 yr old daughter on April Sunday 2020. You never get over it. At least I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. I still call her name and wonder if she can hear me wherever she is. She left behind 2 teenagers. I hurt for them too.xx

When I hear that Liam Neeson has made another movie I can’t wait to see it because I know positively that it will be a great movie. One of my very favorite actors! When I heard Natasha had the accident and had passed I thought, Oh my what a loss. Not only that we lost a great actress but too that Liam had lost his lovely wife. I of course did not know either one of them but they both seemed like such lovely people. Made me sad, it seems I put myself in peoples place in life’s matters. I lost two of my sons, I had three, very true loss of your loved ones does not diminish at all. In fact it sometimes increases when something happens that you really miss them. I can just bust out crying thinking of how I miss my boys, one was 39 when he passed the other was 45. I so enjoyed growing old with them because you reach a time where you both can really see things in there right perspective. Almost like friends, but my boys always respected me and the hardships we endured when they were growing up! We survived all that, then they were gone. Hard to bare sometimes! But now I dread losing anyone else that I love like I did them. I am Beverly writing this not Frankie, he is my grandson that set up my IPad for me, I have trouble with things like that.

Unnecessary change. Michael Richardson Neeson could have been a good choice but not to remove his father’s last name.

Great couple. Their love was obvious to all. Reminds me of Clark Gable and Carole Lombard. Both wives died tragically leaving a devastated husband to deal with their grief as best they could. Liam has managed extremely well. Gable didn't and died of a heart attack too early in life.
Many people have to work to get through life, it's a routine that people need to get through grief, and God is truly the only way to heal from such a loss! God has more than the world, he has the power to heal, everyone!
Nobody knows how to deal with grief until it happens to them, everyone reacts differently to the next person, Liam dealt with it how he needed to for him
Awesome actor. So sorry for his loss I too lost my mom at 13 she was 39 from breast cancer It's hard. She was beautiful inside and out.

My daughter's experiencing this now, she's 51 and lost her husband a year ago after 29 yrs of marriage to the love of her life and high school sweet heart. DO NOT WASTE THE SIMPLE JOY of Having Them Here, While Their Here. Grief can be Crippling & it Takes a Good 5 yrs. to even Start Feeling yourself again. The Wasted empty Times Harbours Severe Pain when a LOVED One Dies. We Cannot Have Them Back…EVER!! That is The Cruelest Lesson that LIFE has to Offer us.

Liam, sudden unexpected loss shatters our life. My heart goes out to you. Your a type of person that loves once and loves deeply, and that is beautiful. She will always be in your heart, no-one can ever take that away or replace that kind of love you had for her. Quoting your words, life must go on, and it can be beautiful again, it is just a different kind of beautiful.
Liam is amazing. This came to me at a perfect time. I live in Massachusetts and I just flew to Florida where I lost my daughter in a car wreck. This helps me so much. I can’t seem to always have strength through this. But watching this brings me to a whole new level of strength. Thank you. I have not missed one movie made that Liam is in. Fabulous actor

Natasha's traumatic brain injury and subsequent death made into a film was a way to come close to the last time they were all together. What a powerful moment to re-connect with this wonderful mother, woman, friend, wife.

Just lost my mom 2 weeks ago from the same thing. She fell in the most impossible way and hit her head. We just had moved 2 months prior to be near my adult children so we could all spend more time together. Taking my mom to live with us 3 years earlier when my dad died was the best decision ever. I miss her very much and wish she had more.time. I wish I came in behind her that night when we returned from seeing a movie but decided to walk ahead of her so our scottie dogs would not jump on her upon our return. She was only two steps behind me, then she wasn't because she fell sideways down the four stairs coming into the house. What an absolutely helpless feeling. I understand how grief can overpower you. My mom just turned 86 and its so painful because she was doing so well. I can't imagine how much worse it would be losing my spouse or my mother at such a young age as Liam's son. Its devastating. You have no choice but to move forward and live every day you're given as well as you can.
I had no idea that was his son in the movie, it was a great movie, nice story line. 👏🏻♥️💙
I loved the movie but didn't realize what a significant heartfelt endeavor it was for Liam and his son! Didn't even know he was his son in real life! I've rarely seen the depth of such raw grief as Liam attempted to go on! She was like holding a beautiful butterfly on your palm and it vanishes! I wish him and his children all good things!! 💜💜💜💜 Will rewatch the movie tonight!

he is explaining my pain from losing my husband on May 30th this year, all the little noises he made, The house we built we built it our selves.
