My god, to be 71 and look, sound, and perform as well as this man.
What an absolute legend and boss.
true, Conan is age like a fine llama
Liams an anomaly. To look and sound that good at that age and be from Ballymena? Witchcraft! Which would get you burnt at the stake in Ballymena tbh😂
maybe being a superstar has something to do with it, no?
@@MalAnders94 being able to afford good food and healthcare is most of the battle.
Especially given that he worked for decades as a coal miner
I’ve never heard Conan laugh louder and harder than at Liam‘s confession story. 😅
Martin Short needs a story about Conan turning bright pink--because Liam's confession got that RESULT! :D (Brave young man, that Neeson...!)
Then you need to watch more Conan bro
Watch any clip with Conan and Norm MacDonald. Norm always goes off script and ignores the rehearsed questions and just does his own thing.
stop, stop lying
Watch him and David Spade talk about Norm Macdonald
That “catch and release line “ was so good 😂
I love that Liam seems to be so comfortable with Conan (seem to be genuine friends).
Yes??
Priest "What is it, my son?"
Liam "I have a particular set of skills."
😂
Liam is here in Australia shooting his Ice road 2.. just 30 mins drive from our place ❤❤❤We love Liam❤❤
❤
Привет ему из Сибири!!!
I love this episode. Had me laughing so hard at certain parts 😂
you laughed but he's gonna find you and then hes gonna kill you
Liam Neeson has such a great podcast voice 🔥
Liam's voice is made for ASMR. 😅
Oh yes, I couldn't agree more - just imagine how the intro would go, like: "Listen. I've got a certain set of skills. And if you don't go to sleep in about 15 seconds from now, I'm going to pay you a visit and put you to sleep..."😂
He should do an ASMR video for W Magazine. I think I'd have so many tingles 😄
Conan trying to bring his own voice down a few octaves to match Liam's, LOL.
We took a trip to Ireland in 97. Took the ferry across the Irish Sea from S Wales. We docked a short trip from Waterford.
When We came off the ferry, my wife ( who was a Sullivan) asked me why I had tears in my eyes. I told her I felt like I had
come back home.
I didn't score as high of a mark as you Conan, but I'm 80& Irish. All my mother's folks were from Tipperary on both sides.
I was told If I could keep my mouth shut, I could easily pass as a native. It was the Texan drawl killed me.
The face of Liam "you what" had me in stitches, I've watched it several times hilarious, I feel his pain as I'm from Ireland and underwent all these confessions.
What do you mean???
Which pain??
My mother once was in queue for confession, and the priest there was half deaf, senior resident of the perish until his days are over, but still trying to do his best for the people.
So, she is there, few more people before her, and the lady in her late 70s, maybe early 80s go in barely walking and she starts confession, you can hear the discussion and priest is asking questions for more details. At some point she said something he misunderstood and loudly said "ZDRADZILA? A ILE RAZY" (cheated? How many times?) in this old Polish style language, it was so loud that 20m perimeter heard that, lady took out and ran (considering how she would walk this was like running) away, and people stared at her, perhaps even with ave (this old, still in the business?). My mother laughed her ass off in the queue, but when she stopped she went to other priest just in case.
Fact: The Choctaw collected donations of $170 (the equivalent of $6,000 today) and sent it to the Irish during the Great Irish Famine in 1847. The Choctaw were one of the nations forced to march during the Trail of Tears. The Irish have since erected a sculpture in Ireland to honor the Choctaw Nation. Look it up.
In 2020 the people of Ireland raised and donated around $3m, for Covid relief for Native American tribes as a direct result of the Choctaw donation 173 years before. Warms the heart
Liam has a particular set of skills to be Conan’s friend 😏
Conan Liam Harrison cage match
@@asmrbuddha9033😂😂
@@asmrbuddha9033 *Nicolas Cage match
THIS!!
Do you think he would have wasted Conan if they were alone on an island for a year? Or maybe Conans Norwegian genes would defend himself so well that he actually came out on top? I think the latter.
As someone who is half Irish American (my grandparents were Irish immigrants) but was almost entirely raised by the other side of my family who is Asian, so I don’t feel Irish really at all, I really appreciate these conversations. I was raised Catholic though and can totally relate to that.
I love this episode. I love that Liam Neeson is so aware of his shortcomings and willing to learn
what shortcomings did he mention?
@@danzwku he didn't here but circa 2017-18 he talked openly about his race bias and his disagreement with Me Too and of course social and media and the press had a field day
You can't tell a bad story when you have the Liam Neeson accent and voice. Great episode.
I love hearing Conan talk to Irish people. It’s interesting to see how the Irish did and didn’t change when coming to America. I’m German from three generations ago and we are still so German.
Love that, "Catch an release." Haha! 😄
this is a great episode. he has a great narrator voice for a horror or crime book
Or nature documentary
Or a fake documentary for how the Game of Thrones cast were forced to take part in the musical version of the show.
I literally just was thinking this! 😂❤️
Glad you clarify the recording date, was surprised to see Liam Neeson given the strike
This guy's voice is just epic.
Love this man. What happened when he shared that personal story of his experience with racism and hatred, how everyone jumped on him was stupid and sick.
"Catch & release." - awesome timing, LOL😂👍
Conan’s line at the very end 😂😂
Yes . Can only be ended with the word ~ Allegedly 👨⚖️

A legend.
This absolutely made my day! Loved the confession story. I could listen to these two men for hours.
Liam neeson has the perfect radio voice!!
your laugh, conan, golden.
“Particular”is Liam word he owned it. 😂😂😂😂
The two most irish looking humans on earth, in conversation
The outfit and the smoky thing LOL, Confession memories actually a good conversation with priest end of my first marriage.
My last one was also with a missionary priest, returning from Japan. Liam confession masturbating. You WHAT?!?!?
A real couple of ole buddies when u talk as honest as they do. Honest, funny and real. Thanks Conan and Liam Neesom.
I'm all in on the fly fisherman with no skills revenge movie.
THIS EPISODE WAS HILARIOUS! Just a great episode overall.
My Catholic girlfriend told me she and her friends in school would be in line waiting for confession and would be coming up with stories so they didn't let the priest down. They realized later that they would probably all say the same thing, like "I was disrespectful to my parents, and I ate some cookies before dinner." Once they had something to confess, they all clammed up.
It’s true. I don’t know anyone who ever told the truth in confession. I asked my da once and he just said ‘make up any old shite, sure what’s it got to do with him what you do?!’ A typical Irish catholic attitude 😂
Yeah I made up a few things when I was a kid also in confession because I couldn't think of anything to tell him
@@itsonlysoundDid your father, or you, realize that lying in the confessional is a mortal sin? Jesus is there in the person of the priest, so you’d really be lying to Jesus. Just saying… I’d confess that one!
So much for HEARING a confession.
The only time I can think of when Conan laughed nearly as hard or loud was when Zach Galfinakis told him Tony Shaloub helped move a couch.
I’m already dying 2 minutes in 😂😂😂
In Japan they call him Liam Older Sister.
4:11 Underrated 😂
omg this was amazing
" I know how to use these mitts" 😂
LOL..."the smoky thing"😆
Liam still looks so handsome for his age 😍😍😍 and his voice still melts my heart although you can hear the change in it because of his age
My favorite part of some of these podcast clips is hearing Conan’s last words “well I’m glad I never masturbated”
Never been this early to a coco clip, it's nice.
Post the full interview please!
Love these pair 😅😅 proper irish banter 😊
What we learned is that Liam has special self-pleasuring skills that terrify priests. 😂
I am half Irish and Swedish. And I love you very deeply. ❤❤❤
The venn diagram of fly fishermen and action film enthusists is an unexploited sliver.
Conan has graduated from interviewing stars to recording discussions with other celebs
Has there been a Weird Al interview yet? If not, it should happen and make sure he brings the accordion!
Hey there. Weird Al was on the July 12th 2021 episode of Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend.
@@howardyanow2883 Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! I appreciate it.
Brilliant brilliant guest
This is absolutely Conan's wheelhouse. He's the best.
6:56 the subtle dig at a certain Armenian getting wasted on St. Patrick’s Day 😅
You guys better post the beginning of this episode where Matt sings the entirety of yub nub from memory.
The big man from Ballymena respect for our son he’s a real ambassador for our wee land ❤
Liam is one of my favorite actors 😘.
I'm enjoying this interview with these two 😂😂❤
I could listen to Liam talk ALL Day/Night!!!!!!!😊😊😊
Liam's voice is like an idling harley davidson
That voice should stay in the podcast.
It's a hell of a voice. I think that's the kind of voice Conan aims to emulate whenever he catches a cold😂
Born and raised Catholic as a Pacific Islander and had flashbacks as Conan was telling his confession story 😅
Liam’s story on the other hand is my fear of going into confession. Got stomach cramps from laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
1:00 in an Liam drops a Monty Python reference in his intro. Love it!
Great actor if I’ve ever seen one. Ireland has many.👍👍👍👍
during middle school we had an old Irish priest at the church I was raised in ( Notre Dame in Aief texas)...and after giving the usual list of childhood sins; fought w my sister's, disobeyed my parents) , he asked me if I had "sinned against myself" ...I didn't understand...then he asked again while making the hand gesture ...I immediately understood...and said "yes ...I have sinned against myself"....all I got for penance was 1 our father and 3 hail mary's....but I felt so guilty amd embarrassed I prayed a whole rosary
Consider myself an Irish American. Grandparents were Irish immigrants. Grew up in a predominantly Irish American neighborhood in SW Philly. There was a bar practically on every block, some had 2!😊
It's the Norwegian genes that made you all so messed up, running to bars as soon as the chance present itself. The Irish want the booze... Or Ale, which the Vikings introduced to the meek christians of Irland (and large parts of the English Isles). They also turned 30% of the population of Irland into redheads.
Liam Neeson Movies are always a fun watch. 👍
This was hilarious 😂
Conan laughing hard makes my day
I had been expecting this scary confession to have taken place more recently … and the matter to have been a bit more grave.
The matter was pretty grave to the missionary that he told it to base on the reaction. (The best part by the way - 'YOU WHAT?!')
Thanks good laugh.
so funny!
Muy hermoso don Liam es un verdadero caballero me gusta mucho ❤ don Liam le deseo todo lo mejor lo quiero mucho ❤❤❤❤
Not gonna lie, that confession, so funny!! 🤣🤣🤣
Love Liam Neeson. ❤
This sounds like smooth caramel ❤
I've got a particular set of skis.. what an amazing accident LMAO
LIAM NEESON ❤❤❤❤i love it 😘😘😘😘
I THINK they boosted some frequencies on the output board for Liam..
Liam Neeson is the best
Hilarious!
Great 👍👍👍 clip FAF 😂😂😂😂😅😅
The smokey thing lol now I know
The 180 break in the camera angles are killing me. Hire me, Conan
Ancestry, England, Ireland and Scotland , imported through grandparents , last generations ago. So “Kiss me I am Irish” lololo
Truly funny confession Liam
My God my people are from Waterford! 😊
If you don't return my daughter..... you will slowly find your koi pond depleted of koi. You've been warned.
He is best actor
Humour
He be a perfect, metal gear solid big boss
Since they mentioned St. Patrick's Day, a little bit of knowledge for any American friends here - it's not "Patty's Day" it's "Paddy's Day" and as an Irishman I am authorised to give you permission to punch anyone who says or types it wrong. 🤣
"Patty" is a woman's name, as any Simpsons watchers will know. Short for Patricia. "Paddy" is used instead of Patrick. Now, you may point out that there's no "D" in Patrick. But there is in Pádraig, which is Patrick in Irish.
“Catch and release. But you I will not release.”
Ah to be fair, Conan, St. Patrick's Day in Ireland is full of drinking and vomiting, passing out on the street and so on.
This is NOT the story with Liam Neeson I thought I'd hear this morning
More Irish and Scottish guests please.
Stay safe sir Liam Neeson..
liam neeson and harrison ford need to be in a movie
They were in K-19
8:51 is the priest confession story.
tysm !
