      Why did she say that?

      @shaunoleary9774 Před 2 lety +5

      @@Burevestnik9M730 it was the first French fine dining experience she had. This kind of food was truly alien to most people that grew up when, where, and how she did. There was simply no way for a home cook to know how to prepare this food then, that's why she started writing "The Joy of Cooking." Back then recipes were just ingredients, temps, and cook times and little else. She helped to bring the idea of great cuisine, not just food, into the common home America and beyond. That meal started a revolution in American cooking that has resulted in many, many amazing cooks. It was a pebble thrown in a pond.

      Julia said thus is the dish that got her into French cooking.
      This one dish knocked her socks off. She thereafter had to learn more

    Simple, délicieux et nourrissant. Je suis vraiment contente d’avoir découvert cette recette après le film. Julia, on va intégrer cela au menu cette semaine. Merci de l’héritage culinaire que tu nous laisse! 🥰

    I know your the best cook in the World and you went to cooking school in France, but the fish you taught how to cook, was bitter & too many bones-I almost choked on it it made me became permanently scared to eat fish again. What do you recommend?
