    Bro I got the 450 too with the vr tune but I did the muffler delete and it sounds bad ass and aggressive, try it out if your interested lol. I think it's like 0-60 in 4.2 seconds with the tune.

      Chris Scott oh I know bro! I had a c350 a few years back and compared to that this thing moves! As soon as I put it in Sport+ this thing picks up and go! I was thinking to change the exhaust but I think I’ll just go with the 450 or 43!

    • @venompwr
      @venompwr  Před 5 lety +1

      @@juelzsantana211 I test drove a 43 about 6 months ago and I was thoroughly impressed. It was more aggressive than the 450 and it had options like the performance seats and performance exhaust and was overall cool. If you can hold out for a 43 I would say that is the way to go for sure. The throw a tune on it and you're as good as good gets haha! I got the 450 off of swapalease.com to experience it and the 8 or so months I lived with it I was in love, so that might be worth looking into as well, because you might be able to find a decent deal on there.

    • @venompwr
      @venompwr  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes, the exhaust is stock. And for every run I was in Sport+. Congrats on the car, too! You'll love it. It's a lot of fun to drive and when you want to relax it's very comfortable. The tune is also better than I was expecting if you want some more horsepower.

    • @CM-maga
      @CM-maga Před 6 lety

      Chris Scott yea it’s actually my girls car she is daily driving it so don’t think we’re gonna tune it as of now. So when you switch modes the active Exhaust opens up?

    • @venompwr
      @venompwr  Před 6 lety

      The tune doesn't really change the driving characteristics unless you're really getting on it. I also use it as a daily driver and it's still very docile and comfortable in traffic. And yes, the exhaust valves open up some when in Sport mode and completely when in Sport+. Sport+ is when you get the exhaust burble.

      Oddly enough it did. It went away for about 3-4 weeks and then came back slightly when lifting at right around 3k rpm's. I'm probably going to do a quick video explaining that and some of the other nuances.

    • @jamesaron1967
      @jamesaron1967 Před 5 lety +3

      Personally, I think that's a _good_ thing. The pops and crackles of recent AMGs, especially the 6-cylinder engines don't sound all that natural to me, almost artificial. I much prefer a deeper exhaust note with less added drama, but that's just my opinion. I think this is a good mod, very nice and gets a thumbs up.

    Do you still have the. ride and and VR tuning in it? Run into any issues or expensive repairs? I've got AMR tune on my 2nd year with it on my 16 and c450, with down pipes. Considering another tune...

    • @venompwr
      @venompwr  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't have the car anymore. It's actually been a few years and several cars since I've had it. However, for the period that I did have it I only had one problem with it, because it overheated and caused the car to go into limp mode due to where I placed it inside the engine bay. Once I moved it to a cooler spot I never had an issue and never worried about reliability at all.
      Is the AMR tune plug and play as well?

      @@venompwr yeah just a OBD II Flash, stage 1, stage 2 recommends/requires aftermarket downpipes. A lot of folks have had a good experience. I cant say the same whatsoever. Within 30 day of purchase the micro USB port for updates on the port was pushed into the device at first attempt at plugging it in. Quickly unplug everything since it’s a metal connector that loosened into the device.
      Contacted AMR, response was SOL. Buy another one at full retail.. (what kind of service is that?!)
      6 months down the line, the down pipes I purchased which was their tested and only recommended aftermarket downpipes to use with stage 2 (which I purchased), literally blows off where connects between the back turbos and pipes. I mean the connection was still there the physical part after the flange (I suppose is what it’s called) was just obliterated. Contacted the AMR and Weistec regardless of their quality parts warranty etc. they didn’t stand behind anything. So said screw it and went with my own after market down pipes and been about a year without issues (RedStar Exhaust). I have videos of it on my instagram, handle is: @limitlessAMG, don’t upload on CZcams much or at all. Mainly a spectator/viewer, lol.

    • @venompwr
      @venompwr  Před 4 lety

      No, I haven't had the car for about 2 years now. The only time I had an issue with the tune was when I didn't secure it somewhere cool enough. It would overheat and the car would go into limp mode. After that happened twice, I moved it into the passenger side basket (had to dremel a hole for the harness to fit through) and that solved the problem. I want to say that basket was where the washer fluid was, but don't hold me to it since it's been a while.

      Hi Nigel. it was well worth the upgrade for sure. I managed to snag it used for $250 on eBay, but I would have gladly paid retail for it. The boost is definitely noticeable, but I did lose the exhaust burble for about a month. it eventually came back but it's not as strong. That is really the only drawback. Hey man, I did another video and added the boost overlay in it. It's literally the first 20 seconds; however, I have no explanation, because the boost numbers are lower than when I didn't have the tune on. I have no explanation, because it's clearly quicker with the tune and it might come down to the change in fuel, throttle mapping etc. What I do know is the weather is drastically different here in Florida than when I created the first video as it is far more humid and far hotter. That's all I got though. Either way, here it is: czcams.com/video/dhhYc36fdKE/video.html
