- I took a few minutes to Dragy my 2017 C43 on H&R VTF springs on 1/8th mile, then put on BMS intakes and did it again - the car feels and SOUNDS so much better!

I’ve been eyeing this mod for a while. It sounds awesome and it looks like you can feel a difference in HP. I have the JB4 tuner and absolutely love it, it’s a huge noticeable boost
Absolutely go for the intake - it is definitely a noticeable gain! I’m so pumped for my JB4 delivery!
@@drianashton yea man, you’ll like the tuner. I’ve got mine on level 3 and just add about a gallon on E85 to every full tank of 93 octane and it’s a major boost. I have a C400, which is the same engine as yours.
Never seen someone remove the engine covers so aggressively. This guys a different breed
What kind of heads up display are you using?
Hey there! Is this the V1 intake? It looks like the V2 comes with sensor extenders and heat Shields. I'm asking because I'm looking to pick one up used, but it looks to be just two inlet pipes and two filters.
Mine came with sensor wire extenders and heat shields, I just didn’t film installing them, lol.
@@drianashton good to know. Thanks for the reply! Do you still have the intake on? I’m worried the sound will be too obnoxious for a daily driver.
I’ve had it on for 12k miles and love it!
So the bms intakes helped you build boost from the line? so interesting never would’ve thought that.
I don’t think that’s the case, but it does make it louder when it spools
@@drianashton I thought you hinted a difference between your first run not building boost off the line but in your second run it did(after installing intakes)
dope car! I have a 2020 c43 and need to lower it. any issues you experienced with the lower springs, and if you cant tell me the wheel fitment. Thanks!
Thanks!
No issues at all! Have had them on 3 years or so now without any problems.
At my current ride height with the wheel spacers it rubs slightly in the front; if I raise the car a half inch, or get rid of the spacers it doesn’t rub, but it looks too cool the way it is to change it.
I have a lot of pics of this car on my Instagram (dr.ian.ashton) as well
How is the cts compared to this one
Why did you pick this system and not the BMS cold air intake?
This is the BMS cold air intake
@@drianashton Did you see this one for MST? . x-ph.com/mst-2012-mercedes-benz-c400-c450-c43amg-glc43-cold-air-intake-system-v2-mb-c4301l/?sku=MB-C4301L&gclid=CjwKCAjwhMmEBhBwEiwAXwFoEajAkLR1ANpS7yNsjN-dhIzclTvXkFvqp9xrZ3g1JIL5Q9zmf4iiPxoCyOwQAvD_BwE
Why is so blurry when you do the pull? 😂
I have no idea, lol
are these bms intake v3?
I don’t know what version they are, but it is definitely BMS :)
Ever considered stacking jb4 with an ecu tunes? tcu tune maybe?
Absolutely! My plan is to try to max out the current combination, exhaust in the spring, and when it’s ready for down pipes I’ll go with an AMR tune I think.
@@drianashton That's what I have; their comport tune, stacked with a jb4 (and water/meth) and awaiting tcu tune from AMR to be delivered, but USPS is droppin the ball at the moment unfortunately...
I didn’t know AMR had a separate TCU tune!
@@drianashton Yep TCU is really new to the market for this platform
Hey does it void the warranty?
I don’t think so - my cars been to the dealer a few times and they’ve said nothing
What were your 0-60 times ?
Not worth posting, lmao. I’ll do some dry pavement hits soon!
@@drianashton how about now ?
These are trash on the m276 platform. They are mounted directly above the turbos and heat soak severely. They are only good for sound as they are just being used as a hot air vacuum.
Best intake setup is the stock airbox with bmc drop in air filters.
IATs seem to be 10* to 15* higher than ambient air temp in every scenario I’ve looked at so far.
I’m operating on the theory that my air pump (engine is a big air pump!) wants more access to air, and doesn’t care what temperature that air is.
Plus it sounds cool haha
Have had mine on for nearly a year now with zero issues
@@drianashton I’m contemplating getting these, already have downpipes and tune done and this might be a good addition. Did you say yours is running hotter than before?
@@xxKilLSnIPexx no, not running hotter at all. I love the intakes!
@@drianashton hey, so no heat soak issues ? I drive my car hard. And I’m debating on these intakes!!
