Chris ain't no fuel going over those stacks... The heck you talkin about??
$37/gal for MR12 Ohhh man. That's some spicy pricey.
Basically the intake velocity stacks function very similarly in principle to why 2-stroke engines have traditionally run the stomach-shaped exhaust headers; it has to do with the pressure pulse traveling back and forth both in exhaust systems and intake systems. When an intake valve opens and shuts, a pressure pulse travels back up the intake opposite the flow of air at a given velocity, and rebounds inside the confines of the airbox. Changing the length of the stack ultimately changes the timing of that pulse wave in the airbox and throttle body, affecting efficiencies at a given RPM range. Hence, high revving engines usually have pretty short stacks and bikes built for lower RPM power have longer stacks. Yamaha has designed a 2-stage stack to open and shut based on engine RPM and load, to make the power curve a little more flexible. Most automobiles on the road these days have a 2-stage intake system in the plastic intake manifolds, to switch to short runners at higher RPM and back to long runners at low rpm.
It has everything to do with the pressure wave going in and out of the engine intake. Engines are an air pump, but airflow through an engine is anything but constant and smooth. It's really a very quick successions of gulps, with pressure waves in/out of both sides of the "pump."
@Thomas B I guess if you're racing on circuits and have a lot at stake.
From what I have learned, the golf ball dimples create a boundary layer of air, which makes it more "slippery" for the intake charge. I would like to see a set without the dimples tested.
Excellent video. I learn more about tuning parameters every week. 🏆❤🏍
Great video! Let's see that ecu flash from the 2022 Busa though. Got us all drooling and simping your channel just waiting. I'd pass on stacks. No one lives in the peak rpm range. He could get way more out of that bike with actual motor work.
Very nice airfilter and velocity stacks! Try to little bore out throttle body and bigger airbox and big bore funnels... highest hp ever! I'm deaf and you are one of my most favorite tuners! You are really top on my list for enjoy to watch your videos for tunes!
This is really informative and entertaining man
I came to you about 3 months ago and my K8 750 is giving my buddies 1000’s fits because of you 🤣🤣 Your work os Top-Shelf Chris. 💪🏾 I’m gonna stop down with my son again and get him some Moore sticker’s (pun intended)
I got a 750 as well haven't got to go against a 1000 yet how's yours compared now ?
@@ichista It pulls right with them for the most part. My bike weighs just under 400lbs wet, so the power to weight is really good. I love my 750 stay safe Bruddah!
@@drasticthompson1995 awesome man I've got a full exhaust cat delete sprint filters auto tuner and power commander with the quick shifter and tune hoping to hang with the 1000s
@@ichista You will of you have the balls to let it rip! I live I. The mountains with crazy amount of bug’s so I kept my air filter stock. And my bike puts out what full exhaust and race air filters do. This thing is losses when I open it up and I love it. Once it is flashed and tuned it will just keep pulling. I would hit rev limiter in 3rd and only 3rd @ about 140 before and now it pulls past 140 and O haven’t come close to the limiter lol. I hope it works out for you Bruddah and stay safe! 7Fiddy Gang 💪🏾
It shifts the power!!!! Details thank you sir.
I can’t wait to bring my 2019 Ninja 636 in here. So far I’ve got the Graves WORKS2 Titanium (High-Mount) exhaust system installed, just ordered Graves titanium header, Graves DNA filter already installed, I’m grabbing some Graves velocity stacks next, and I’ll be in for a full dyno tune. I’m after 126-130WHP on 93 pump shell gas. I hope I get it!!! Fingers crossed.
good info on the air filter. little things like that help the guy who wants to spend money on there road pride and joy. :)
"Better" Velocity stack really help for the close-open throttling,it make the air enter faster, cause it make the air more laminar...
IMHO the wide open throttle not so much different...
I got so many riders ordered the long one....rather than the short...they feel the torque delivery is smoother, and you can easily control the throttle mid corner...less peaky
Thanks again for sharing your awesome work and the results with us! All of the stacks that I make are designed for racing, but maybe one day I can make a street line.
I think you should do some serious R&D on the velocity stacks to get decent power out of them, maybe for the street they aren't worth it but for the track it surely is, at the track you spend alot of time at high rpm's in lower gears, midrange is really important for the street, you should take care of that next time you make them for the roads!!
I really like this 2022 HAYABUSA And the contest of the your CZcams channel is very nice the content wont get any other CZcams channels i am really a greate lover of the 2022 hayabusha it is my bream bike
I would love to see this test made on a f900r, 790 or a mt07.
I don't see the dimples working like you said because there is no fuel in the velocity stack it is sprayed in below that so not sure how the dimples will help but I do know that velocity stacks do make a diff.
So I talked to you about 7 months back or more about Velocity stacks on my 2012 750. At the time there wasn’t anything out for 750s
So watching this video on those stacks I’m saying not worth the money. And I thought it would be better to have different height and also they need to be smooth I think.
Am I the only 1 who noticed dyno at beginning was 135 on pump gas. And he ended at same with the stacks
On a golf ball the dimples create a laminar flow. Which is a smoother less resistant air flow. I would assume it would be the same here.
Yeah the dimples increase friction but helps get air into low pressure areas faster, probably works better on golf balls than air intakes idk
no it doesnt work, golf balls spin and make it work stacks are stationary
@@morthskarampouzouklis8561 why does rotational velocity matter? Isn't it the same in principal? air moves over the curved surface, the spin is just increasing air velocity over the surface
Never been a fan of stacks myself. It was explained to me years ago that they don;t make power, so much as move some of it. You gain up top and lose somewhere else... Glad I never wasted my money on them.
But isisnt that the point if you race your generally in the high rpms which ull have more with aftermarket stacks
Tell us you don’t race without telling us you don’t race….
@@AndrewNoronha-cb2gy Depends. First, most people aren't actual racers. They wish they were, but most aren't. Also, how much time do you spend at peak? Versus coming off a turn, or riding around in the Mtns, where that midrange punch coming off the turns translates to faster times?
Been riding a long time... 400k+ miles on street and track, over a period of 27 years and spanning 31 bikes... I have considered stacks, but when I would talk to my tuner about it, he would point out that they just move a few HP from one part of the rec range to the other. Lots of guys call themselves racers, but they turn out to be straight line guys playing on the interstate... A lot of them just like chasing a number on a dyno sheet... But when you think about where most riders spend most of their time riding, the midrange is usually a better place for that power than a couple ponies that they rarely touch up top...
@@SquireSCA by race I meant straight line racing. A few hp on the top would help in that case right?
@@AndrewNoronha-cb2gy Roll racing on the interstate isn't racing. Drag racing takes skill to launch well and get good times... Just pinning the throttle on the interstate, a monkey can do, if we are honest. lol
Chris asked the question if it was worth it. To me, spending the money for 3hp up top and losing some in the midrange, it isn't...
I have a 2018 GSXR-750 I personally would pass on them. I only street ride, if I really wanted more power I would move up to a 1000 then maybe I might get them
I think if the stacks were dragging in air directly from above, instead of an angle, it would change again.
Hell yea
Awesome vid bro so I brought all these thumbs ups for ya algorithms Mate 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥💯🙏
Those 750 Gixers” Was only 750’ to Beat My’ Kaw 750 Turbo”!! Still Bad a zzz. Whooo!
I think with out the dimples in the stack it would be better.
Hi Chris love your channel I watch it all the time I've got a question and I can't find anything about it on CZcams so I know if anyone would know it would be you If I was going to buy a GSXR 750 any year model and I wanted to put let's just say upright handlebars on it maybe something similar to the GSXS 750 clip-ons is that possible ? The reason I'm asking about this is I believe that I would like the GSXR 750s horsepower better than the GSXS but my back tells me that I would need a better upright seating position if this is possible I would like to know Thanks
Wondering what no velocity stacks would do
Maryland in the house 🏠💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 and I wish I would see this little 750 on Branch Avenue. Zx14r Gang
You will
I’m the owner what you riding
I have a 14 but I had a 750. That was my favorite bike ever. More grunt than a 6 but a beast in the canyons. I had a liter bike and was waaaay more confident in the twisties on the 750
aye why wait he got back up
@@traceymoore3258 yoo wuzzup I rode with u and Ni7ck a few weeks back lol I thought this hike looked familiar lol
Why didn’t y’all remove the 2 talls
So is MWR race filter better or not as good as sprint cause that’s what I have and my stacks are factory pros and these sukkas are short
Nice work as always!!
How many octane has the MR12? 🤔
93
It adds oxygen which makes the big gains.
why do the center ones have those longer bits?
They still don't have them available for gen1 busa!!
Such a sweet looking 750. That thing made some awesome power with MR12. I am biased since I have a 750 with a moore mafia ecu flash. 😁
What differences did u feel after? I'm thinking of getting my L8 750 flashed.. also did u get a pcv 5?
Great results. Just think its what 1000's were making this only 10-15yrs ago
Lol what? A K5 Gixxer1k was rated at upper 170s bone stock. Granted that is at the crank, but still. You can buy those bikes for like $6k all day and be starting from where he's spent way more money to approach
Had a 2006 zx10r back in 08.it made 152hp to the rear wheels..
Not quite my friend. Even a 20 year old 1000 is still stronger, and don't forget this thing called torque that larger motors help with.
I would just run the stock stacks and mr12
What abou the Busa flash ? 🏁😅
Big bore kit on the way !!😁
Needs some pops and bangs for more power
Sorry, 2014 GSXR 1000…sprint filter, stacks and tune for MR12?????….i see that Md tag….i want his you know what……lol….will the stacks hurt me?
Seeing the effects of velocity tuning , needs cams
Does those stacks made for 2007 gixxer
Have you ever tuned a cbr1100xx?
Why wont you do my 2014 stacks and tune????? LOL How can i do mine on both modes???
@MooreMafia what's the highest mph on any gsxr 750
How does fuel get on the velocity stacks. Isn't that the air side. Fuel is injected after the air goes through the stacks.
Bet Chris doesn't respond to this?
Must have been thinking intake port. So if each dimple holds an area then it effectively reduces CSA unless it’s dimensionally made bigger than stock.
He's thinking about the 17+ 1000. The upper injectors are in the lid of the air box. Sure it was an honest mistake in verbage.
Upper injector sits above the velocity stacks.
From what I have learned, the golf ball dimples create a boundary layer of air, which makes it more "slippery" for the intake charge. I would like to see a set without the dimples tested.
Yeah I'd pass on my 750...............
But what could I do to my GSXR 50?
I got a couple videos trying to grow my channel take a look......
Will Suzuki motorcycles still be made or are they taking a break like Kawasaki did? Is now the time to pick up a few extra Suzuki's because value is increasing? Or will Suzuki motorcycles lose value?
my 2008 makes 143bhp to the rear wheel , full arrow thunder exhaust and KnN filter n custom dyno tune nothing major, on an well known honest dyno too
Show the dyno chart or nothing

Can an 03 gsxr 750 get stacks
I’d pass on the stacks… They ain’t gonna help with wheelies! 😂
Pass
To the owner of this fine machine, just buy a liter bike bro...
that or just stick with a good old 636
@@elonmust7470 If I had to choose Zuke 750 or Saki 636, it's the 750 all day. Both are good for what they are but he is praying for gains. At the point he is at with race fuel tune and such, he would probably get better performance out of the bike if he lost 20 or 30 lbs vs throwing more money at it (no offense to him)...
Stock V2 Pannigale on 87 octane faster than his bike.
@SquidishTendencies I'd buy a literbike but not to replace the 750.
Having 2 750s one being a track bike, I got myself a 15 1000 and it would be hard to part with any of them..
Every video I have seen in regards to velocity stacks on numerous dyno's show the same thing. If you have an indy car they would be a worthwhile investment, but losing power on the wat up the range to make a little extra at the top, looks like a net loss to me as you are slower getting up to peak power. But when you pour the liquid gold in the tank, the fuel is gaining you more than the stacks.
Should’ve spent $20-30 on eBay to buy Gsxr 600 stacks, I bet it would have gotten similar results. I know for a fact they make a 750 faster
🤘😈🤘🔥🔥🔥
I dont understamd why velocity stacks are ad expensive as they are. Theyre just mass produced plastic molds.
Hey!!! 😃
EDIT: A 750 making literbike numbers. 😯
I got the best stacks
I'm wondering what you can get out of my 2002 GSXR 750.
5 hp
$500
5 people embarrassed amd ashamed just looking at it..
Not huge gains this time 😛
MR12 WILL DO THE TRICK EVERY TIME
looks like someones home 3D printer took a crap
What happened to comments.
I still don’t know, is this wheel horsepower???
Yes
Does he lean the bike? or...
Of course he doesn’t, he’s American. Why learn to ride a bike when you can just crack the throttle in a straight line and be a “hero” instead
Man I got to have that tshirt 💩
that's new new .....that swag and drip I'm getting that I guarantee you that 💩💩💩.....once again congratulation on the 10 year anniversary .... so when you gonna have that CJ.....lol🤔
So simply put, this mod is hardly worth the money. May be somewhat beneficial in street/rolling races, but if the bike is a circuit weapon, it's better to be left alone with stock stacks and more linear power curve. In any case, the best and cheapest mod to make the bike go faster would be saving money on food and stop stuffing the stomach of that black hunk owner 😂
Seems like they're a waste of money and time to install/tune.
Also it gonna to spend more money for tiny more power. Money would be seen expensive for throttle-body, airbox and funnels oops. Worth it? Lol.
He needs to remove those silly secondary butterflies
Why? That's part of the ecu flash.... They get opened in the flash and also help with the fuel flow from the secondary injectors.
@@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS well if ya don’t know then you don’t know Js lol
@@AssenGsxr actually I do know. There's a reason us tuners leave them in. They make more power with them in vs taking them out. In the tune, we make them stay open at wide open throttle. Throughout the rest of the Rev range, they focus like stock to help with drivability.
@@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS well sounds like we need someone to show us all this because I think there’s some truth to your statement and yes I think it hurts the low end of things a little but it def don’t affect drivability yk but I do believe you could gain a hp or 2 on topend but it would be nice to see how it does and doesn’t work
@@AssenGsxr Brock's has a video titled "but what about my bike?" he talks about it in there.
We haven't had the opportunity to test it on my channel yet. Maybe one day we'll get to.
1000k all 750
Doesn’t seem worth it!
Racing Dynos.....Lol
Not worth it
Dude, if you're out to destroy people at all costs, why are you doing so with a 750? Upgrade to the liter-bike and then take it where it will go.....
Na ,pass.
If that black dude is the bike rider of this bike and he clearly does stuff to make his bike fast, then tell ‘em to lose weight himself and he’ll go much faster. Lighter rider make faster bikes.
I wouldnt use the stacks. Even if the were for free …
Useless
Chris. Is it still a thing for you to make “A” mode for pump gas and B mode for mr12 by chance ?
My coworker just got a tune done on his 750 with the same thing
