I run 3 laptops & dust is the killer. I use a laptop cooling pad on my i7 as you could literally fry an egg around the area of the processor. Instead of using convection the cooling pad forces air through the PC & out of every orifice. 😛. It also cools your nads down on a hot day if you have it on your lap. (With pants on I might add). 😂
Congratulations on reaching the navigable end of the Lancaster! My laptop fan is playing up, can I bring it round? 🤣Only joking Will. My hands look like old boot leather after years of being a gardener, I call them lived in hands that have kept me fed 🤩👍👍
Morning Will. What can I say-an insight into the composer's laboratory.😊. Glad laptop repair worked. Its all packed in there tightly. Puts me in mind of the maxim "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is" 😂😂. Shame it was 14 miles to Kendal. Maybe you need an electric bike plus bog battery.😂😂😂. Expensive though. Anyway, keep up the good work. Really beautiful canal now the flowers are all out.👍. Paul.
Yeah. It's a shame I'm too lazy to walk that far. Ha ha ha I'm from an era of mend and make do. If it's broken, I can't make it worse. Ha ha ha Have a good day Paul. 😊
very nice spot but as you say noisy . you are brave doing repairs on computer. nothing seems to faze you .should put screws in a dish then you don't loose them , well done superman , thanks letting us join you 😊
Malcolm, an excellent vlog, very informative. Far better than that other guy Will. Blimmin laptops, they can be a real pain when they die and you lose everything including passwords, and your her indoors has tossed out your notebook with all the info. Good on you for going for the silver propellers, it set's a target. Take care.
I can never remember my pass words. I keep losing my finger print for my phone banking. You have 3 chances to get your password right...That makes it even harder. Ha ha 😂
The Lancaster canal is a dream for people who are not in favour of doing locks. Gongrats with achieving silver propellor. Your laptop has some propellor issues of its own! Normally removing a carpet of dust is enough, but I think you do wisely to replace the fan, despite your impressive efforts to get it going.😅
Well done on the repair to the fan mate. I’m just like you, love to repair things myself. Shame we live in a throwaway nation nowadays. Hope you get to go down the Glasson Branch to Glasson Basin. My girlfriend and I did it a couple of years ago. Well worth the effort. Keep the vlogs going. The Lancaster canal is amazing. Glyn the gas man.
Bless you Glyn. I've heard it's risky going down the basin. Once you go down the locks break or the pounds empty and your stuck. Still going though. Ha ha 😂 Cheers..
I researched it, and the fan oil dries up, and it worked without fault. Before the computer was overloading the fan to make it work. So, in reflection. A success. 👍
@@NarrowboatWillI've re-oiled my hp laptop fan about 3 times after the replacement lasted about 6 months. As the las sub said it won't spin freely due to the magnetic poles pieces. But you might see it bounce back and forth more as it stops due to the dry oil resistance being removed.
😂😂😂 Will. 😊😊😊 ❤ I noticed the kayaking reference to me "Kev the Brinklow Kayaker" I would say the old section is kayakable yes but some of those locks with water falls are a no no 😅 I've not fitted wings to my kayaks just yet. I'm really chuffed you mentioned me. I've had a few mentions over the last few years from foxes afloat to narrow escape who I gave some fab footage to of the landslip in Brinklow and also kev the country house gent 😀 met em all going through Brinklow. Hope you'll pass through St some point. Glad uou looked at my youtube channel much appreciated. Loved the video this week such a shame the M6 was so close and no WiFi... All the best buddy. Kev
@@NarrowboatWill kayak can go anywhere as long as at least 6 inches of water 💧 Bude has a lock on the beach and I've paddled each cutting off that section on inland waterways until I was in few inches of water or at the bottom of people's gardens on route with impassible 5ft wide channels so funny looking up at a guy gardening frowning at you and not too sure what to say... The biggest problem is the M6 has cut through the canal 3 times so the changes of getting it to Kendal is very slim even though some of the canal towards Kendal is still in water
You need to be careful putting your password in videos! We appear to have the same one - 'dot, dot, dot etc'. Maybe we should both change them and right it down on a piece of paper again?👍👍

Lived in hands is a great saying. Gardening work is hard on the body but gentle on the soul.
Bagpuss will we can fix I just love people like yourself brilliant work pal 👍🏼

Thank you, Mark. I really appreciate the feedback.
Great video as usual Will. Anything technical needs patience and you seem to have it in spades.
It needs lots of patience and leathery hands. Ha ha

Treat yourself to some magnetic electrical screwdrivers methinks Mr Will and a can of compressed air for cleaning the laptop inside, dust is a killer.
I did use compressed air on this vlog. Those magnetic screwdrivers sound handy Tim. 👌
Love your music.
@CarolWhite-il7ki Thank you Carol. 😊

Ahhhh bless you guys. 🙏
stainton aqueduct near kendal, canoe job ,new propeller places been added for 2024 and some been removed ,you need very light oil for computer fans
Cheers again mate. 👍
The fan is not meant to spin freely, its brushless, spins with a jerks

Do you have to send the silver propellor to someone to make it official
I have to send all my photos of all my locations, and I should get a plaque then. It's going to take some time to find them all.
Why don’t you use a stand when filming these small jobs mill I am
