    • @kevanathra8741
      @kevanathra8741 Před 6 lety +3

      +Darth Traplord you're absolutely right about Jordan Peterson not being always intellectually honest. He's constantly using an equivocation fallacy in his videos when he talks about his beliefs. Doesn't surprise me that he would say """we're not allowed to make up new stories for political means.""" I don't care if Frozen is propagandistic. The writers might have had liberal biases, but the point is moot. The movie isn't championed by so many because of political reasons; e.g it's not Ghostbusters 2k17, it has gained notoriety because it's a fresh children's film.
      Btw:: I'm not trying to say Ghostbusters shouldn't be allowed: I just find it unnerving that trash like Ghostbusters and Trainwreck get positive reviews because of their affiliation even though the general consensus all over media is that it's shit
      About Melon: The problem I have with it is him making an ad hominem attack and insulting people who watch his content. He didn't say "Jordan Peterson's video about Frozen is dumb of" he said, "How dumb do you have to be to think Jordan Peterson has anything profound to say?" I take issue with the dismissiveness
      Btw: Melon's no crypto-commie, but I think there is an element of truth to what I said in the previous comment

      Just to clarify.. for those of you that know or understand Hip Hop and not those who skim.. or listen for beats purely or just bars.. this album Prhyme 2 is a wonderful fusion of both.
      6 out of 10 is lazy.. particularly when considering he gave Lil Yachty 7 out of 10 the previous week.
      I don't mind people voicing their opinions but when you are the self professed #1 album reviewer you don't get to be lazy.

    +Anthony Fantano You really need to create a starter pack for Detroit Hip-hop overall, just like you did with the one you created for Southern Hip-hop. That would be really amazing to see and I know a lot of people would love to see that as well, especially because Detroit's Hip-hop scene doesn't get a lot of credit for the contributions they have made to the culture.

  • @CxViolet
    @CxViolet Před 6 lety +19

    I assume the Noam Chomsky thing was a little reference to that 1791L video? I know it's unlikely, but I think Fantano could put together a fascinating counter-critique of that channel (and/or a lot of the recent right-leaning channels in general).

    • @CxViolet
      @CxViolet Před 6 lety +6

      I mean, sure... I don't necessarily have a problem with the 1791L video in question (although I'd be willing to provide some of my own critiques if you're interested)! However, it's precisely b/c the video raises some strong arguments, that I think Mr. Fantano could offer an interesting counter. From what I've seen, Fantano offers a somewhat fresh perspective on a lot of political issues, albeit often tending toward the left. 1791L and similar channels are doing the same for the right. I think the idea of political discourse occurring through unusual avenues such as this, make CZcams a unique platform, full of opportunity for some fascinating conversations! Personally, I'd love to see a conversation b/w Fantano and 1791L precisely b/c I think they both have interesting viewpoints.

    • @farmerhank7222
      @farmerhank7222 Před 6 lety +10

      1791L's video is terrible. He mischaracterizes both the left and the right in hilarious ways. According to 1791L, the left (Chomsky and Fantano, though I consider Fantano to be centre-left) is generally dismissive of popular public intellectuals and resorts to ad hominems in showing its contempt towards them. On the other hand, the right - Peterson and Harris - is guided by rationality and logic and is always willing to engage in a debate about ideas... again, according to 1791L. It is as if 1791L lives in a parallel universe, where 'yes' means 'no' and 'fact' is 'fiction', because otherwise I just cannot understand how one can be so wrong in his portrayal of these men.
      Just look at the pinned comment under the Chomsky/Fantano-video. 1791L accuses Chomsky of uncivil behavior in a faux-debate with Sam Harris. When one actually reads the e-mail exchange between these two, the only logical conclusion to be drawn from it is that Harris is the one unwilling to actually engage in a meaningful conversation about facts with Chomsky, much to the ire of the latter. It takes an extreme, dishonest exercise in brain gymnastics to interpret the exchange otherwise, but apparently 1791L does not mind to do just that. It is pretty unfortunate that the content of his videos is abysmal and mind-numbingly stupid, since the dude clearly has audiovisual talents.

    Seriously i agree with most of qhat ypu say even though i enjoy the album way more than you but the song Era was just a cool way of saying that we are dope enough we should have been rappers in the nineties,

    Good review but I would give it somewhere between a 7 or 8, the first one being a 9. One of the Hardest and Loved Ones are definitely my favorite tracks.

      44GG Peterson is hilarious because he calls everything he dislikes “postmodernism”, but his statements come off as more postmodern than anything he criticizes.

    His story telling is always the best aspect of his songs. As long as its A STRONG concept. Like everyday struggle was a fucking great song. Not too over ppls heads, but still gave you that SHIT.
