The new scoring system is a good idea but you should be able to vote out one person's score if they intentionally tank/glaze a game. That way you have to keep integrity (JACK) or your score won't count. That 18-1 game being behind a game 1 and women's soccer is horrible, and i watch the women's world cup every year! 😂

The greatest games ever are SB LI, the Patriot D really stepped it up, they kept Atlanta from scoring when it was 28-3, so props to all the starters on both sides of the ball, and Julian, that catch you made, you know the one, hey man imo you are a NFL HOFer! Then it’s SB XLIX, the MB INT was game over, to see Tom jumping all over the place was so great. Then Imo Toms game winning drive for Ring number 1, that’s #3.
That Pats vs Seattle game is objectively the best game. "The Butler did it!" is also a much better name to boost that score my dudes.

@TJEversII it was 1980's olympic games between USA and Russia (height of the cold war). Russia was a 4 time defending gold medal team and heavily favored, they were basically pros playing against USA college players. They call it miracle on ice because nobody thought they had a chance but they beat them 4-3. Just because you don't know or care about it doesn't mean that others don't, it would be a perfect game to cover on this podcast.
Your number 1 should absolutely be lower. Hell, the 2004 ALCS could have a second game and it would get better name points: The Bloody Sock Game. For your to-do list in addition to others already mentioned like Miracle on Ice... the cool Joe / Is that John Candy? Super Bowl against the Bengals, The Catch, Namath's guarantee.

Looking at 1-10 as A-F is wrong. 5 should be average ( C+/B-) bc am F would be anything less than a 6 which means you might as well set the scale to 1-6. My take has always been average should be a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. Bc bad and awful are easy enough to differentiate so letting anything over a 7 be rare makes the scales so much more interesting.

Here is a suggestion for a greatest game ever if you are also including pro wrestling. You did the Iron Man Match which was overrated in my humble opinion. Bret and Shawn had many matches that were better. You gotta bring Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada in and discuss the 7 Star Match that took place at New Japan Pro Wrestling Dominion 2017 in Osaka-jo Hall that went to a 1 hour no contest. Its considered by some the best professional wrestling match in history.

The 18-1 game is criminally low. Jack needs to check his bias or get someone else who can vote without bias. That defeats the whole purpose of the rescoring. Some random underdog team went on a run and beat the best team the NFL has ever seen and prevented them from becoming the greatest team in sports history. They prevented 19-0 from ever happening. If the Pats won he’d have that 19-0 game as number 1.
only 20 minutes into the episode, the solution for the scoring system is having a guest scoreboard and then a host scoreboard(impartial)

The Stanley cup is the hardest trophy to win in all of sports and should be higher than any of those football games. That's just a fact.
@@almonjoseph4382 well hockey is by far the toughest sport compared to football baseball or basketball. They play 82 regular season games as opposed to 16 in the NFL. And that's literally what it's called. "The hardest trophy to win in sports". It's been that way for years. Watch any hockey game and you'll see athletes that you would never see in any other sport. There are dudes that play with broken bones, punctured lungs, and even torn cartilage and ligaments. It's the ultimate man's game. Also when you get into the playoffs you have to win 16 games to win the cup.
The problem is it that hockey is by far, very far, the least popular of the upper tier of professional sports in North America. I agree hockey is fantastic, but you’re shouting at a hurricane. Something else that should be acknowledged, MLS in time will also breeze past hockey to become a far more popular sport. There really is no situation where any hockey game is considered among the top of a list like this (especially one made by these guys, on their show, these guests).

Ok, major rant post incoming….before I start, the good stuff. I’m a born and raised Boston guy in my early 50’s, I would never root for any other teams than the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox. So I’m a homer or sure. And i obviously love the pod, listened to probably half of the episodes. Just finished this one and I was compelled to leave the club lounge at a hotel with free food and booze to go back to my room and make these comments….
First, of all the games in all the leagues in the history of sports, how the fuck you have the top 3 all be patriots games??? I’ll give you that the patriots never made it easy and all their big games were close, but the top 3 of all time?? I agree with the 28-3 and probably the Butler game are at least top 10, but stop sucking each other dicks about your #1? Seriously? Was a good game for sure, but number 1? It wasn’t a championship game and the best and most memorable part to me was Brady/Gronk still here instagram post. But best game EVER? Sigh. So sad, how is that better than 28-3 or even Seahawks Super Bowl? First of all, Chiefs we’re not a dynasty at the time the game was played. Second, the offsides call kinda ruins it. Should rename the pod, Patriots games with names. Reach out - Barcelona down 4-0 to PSG and then goes there and wins 6-1 winning on aggregate in the champions league so under represented as an example. Barca beating PSG away by 5 goals is like the patriots beating the chiefs by 185 points.
Guys - I love the pod, I’m definitely an Edelman fan - though in fairness back in 11-12 I was more like - “who the fuck is this guy - this is what we have?” But he grew into the role and became a cornerstone of the team. I love the concept of,the pod, but when 2 Boston sports fans and a former patriot have 3 pats games as the top 3 games ever played, it loses legitimacy and seriousness. Those 3 games were great games for sure, just not top 3 ever played.
So Kyle and Jackie or whatever your names are - take Julian’s dick out of your month and get real. You guys look at JE11 the way he looks at TB12. Keep up the content because it’s good and you guys are funny and clever, but broaden your horizons beyond New England.

It's crazy that they talk so much shit about the Cuban ranking that championship so high. Just because none of yall like the Mavericks doesn't mean it wasn't huge and historic. Mark Cuban, Kel Mitchell and Max Crosby all had zero integrity in their scores.
Some of the self scores were way overvalued due to personal bias and sheer ego. The 28-3 game should have been at least in the top 10 originally for the sheer unbelievableness and cultural legacy it still has for sports at the highest levels and highest stakes in terms of glory, reputation and legacy. I welcome this reorganization.
