It gets worse, having voted, that Maori majority then SELECT WHO RULES. As it will of course be Maori, then ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THOSE RULING WILL BE MAORI. - get it now ?

When will Kiwis wake up to the reality that the judicial activism starting from the Lands and the Ngai Tahu cases that without any basis raised Rangitiratanga to be sovereign over kawanatanga. Reading the intent and purpose of the Te triti O Waitangi, there is no doubt that Kawanatanga is a new term coined to be a higher authority to Rangitiratanga to which all the 500+ Rangitira are to be subject to the one Kawana. The mana of the Kawana as the sole signatory to the counterparty of 500+ Rangitiras is indicative of the intent and the rangitiras who rebelled and reneged against the land acquisition provision of te teriti were put down decisively by the forces of the Kawana.
Clause 3 of te teriti made all Maori including Rangitira and the Maori Ariki and the ordinary Maori equal citizens to all British subjects and not to subject all to be under Maori tikanga!
The redaction and revision of the Te teriti from the landmark cases of the 1980s under activist judges are an injustice to all New Zealanders. May New Zealand do as the US Supreme Court has done to undo the injustice of Roe v Wade and correct these erroneous precedents and judgements with regard to teriti and it's interpretation.

Peter Williams paints a fair point of view, one that I happen to agree with.
However the root of the problem, which has been politicised to the detriment of the masses, is that the Maori issue has been neglected for far too long. Using definitions set upon US that have not being of OUR choosing or determination.
Unfortunately WE brought into a narrative by 'other interested parties' who can once again shift the posts on what is to be considered a trusted source of information.

Two bad ways of governance we got rid of , Feudalism and Tribalism. One is slipping back in and we all , especially the lower pecking orders of the tribes will continue to suffer even worse than today. One law , one vote, one government.
