My daughter is on the spectrum and I find nothing funny about someone drugging special needs kids or any kids. She was diagnosed last year. I had no idea because she is extremely intelligent and expressive. I can't tell you how hard it is for a neurodivergent person to live in an allistic or neurotypical world.

So many myths and false beliefs of what it means to be " on the spectrum" or autistic. There's not a look, a certain special interest or a lack of. We don't have the same strengths and struggles. Ones intelligence or ability to express themselves (equal or better than the next )comes off like "she's too smart to be autistic"...given that you're the parent I'm sure its taking some adjusting and navigating the language thats not off-putting, the genus stereotype is a thing for people on the spectrum used most often in TV and Film ...and while I agree this isn't the kinda thing to joke about, i've also learned that black folks don't care about your feelings and if one group can get the jokes, all can, and I'm ok with that. Trying to change the world to fit your child will be a harder job than teaching them how to comfortably show up as they feel each day in a world not made for the way their brain processes.
I hope the best for you and your family disoriented loves to talk about how pretty Claudia is Inlet funky get away with a lot of nonsense instead of speak on their childish behavior with a lot of issues

My mom was 31 when she was diagnosed with BC. By god’s grace she has been in remission 18 years!!! Her oncologist informed her that she was BRCA2 positive and advised her children (all 4 daughters) to get tested. As far as I know I am the only one that is BRCA2 positive as well. They suggested yearly screening after that diagnosis. Been getting screened since 24 when I am not pregnant or breastfeeding.

My friend just finish battling her cancer over the summer … I’m so happy she’s dong well. Also, my Nana is battling uterine cancer. Needless to say I made appointments this summer to get myself checked out. All is well I’m grateful thanks to God.

My Sister/Friend for over 40 years was diagnosed at 34 in 2k with Stage 2 breast cancer. She was in remission for almost 20 years. It came back withe a vengeance late 2019 and took her out of this life in 2021. I miss her everyday. Ladies
