The Dubliners have announced that they will be calling time on their fifty year career when their current tour ends. Here, they perform a medley of their most famous tracks in their final Late Late Show performance. - Zábava
I was fortunate enough to see the Dubliners in concert twice, back in the early '80s when Luke was still with them. Unforgettable shows, and wonderful music. Thank you lads..
I'm sad that The Dubliners won't be no longer exist. They've made a very great music! All of them! They brought the wonderful irish music to the world, not only to Germany.
Bobby, Luke, Ciarán, Ronnie and Barney have already left us. But they'll be never forget by me!
Many thanks for your great music and a lot of fine hours hearing it, my friends!
Greetings from northern Germany
Hans
The fiddler age amazingly. like a fine Irish whisky.
How could anyone dislike this last medley of the greatest songs of the late Dubliners?
I cried tears after this performance cause it was very great act of these lads
Sadly i' ve never seen them live but i'll keep their music in my mind.
God bless Ireland and its beautifull music.
See everyone of you in Fiddler's Green
Greets from Germany
even if they continued playing on it wouldn't be the same dubliners because the original members have all sadly departed now,but have left us with a great selection of songs and medleys and great tunes.i have seen them live and it is a beauty and a joy to behold.the memories live on and the tunes live on in our hearts
For 40 Years they are Part of my Life.I will miss them badly alot of good Memories. Now there is a fair in Heaven. BTW i t6urn 50 this December.
My dad is huge fan of their music and i actually heard a lot of their songs from my early years on. So for his last birthday i got my dad tickets to their show. The dubliners legends in my home town. It was amazing :)
A very poignant occasion, thank you for sharing. RIP Luke Kelly, Ronnie Drew, Ciaran Bourke, Barney McKenna & The Dubliners ..... Thanks for so many beautiful memories.
Thank you God for their birth, their growth, their music and my life to hear them - and thanks lads for the hope and pleasure given for half a century
retired but still going strong....
never forget them !
It makes sense for The Dubliners' name to retire. I mean, the last founding member had died, and while John is definitely the longest serving member in the band, he's no right to keep it up now that Barney's died. Although it may seem harsh I said this, but it's just how it is. I do hope everything goes well for them, and that John lives happily for the rest of his life, and I'm sure that the lads are waiting for their fiddler up in Fiddler's Green.
Sad to see them go, best Irish band.
Fantastic musical performance !
Legends
I am feeling like patsy is not really fittingn into this formation. I always prefered seans voice over his. Which does not mean that Patsy is a bad musician
The greatest
They couldn't sing seven drunken nights without Ronnie I guess
Seán, Eamonn, Patsy and Gerry are still together as "The Dublin Legends". They are touring Germany in November.
Thanks a lot ...
Cheers boys
Wonderful band, but maybe it is very tiring for the boys now and they just prefer to play for relaxation every now and then, great band and will miss them !
patsy and sean dont go well together do they?
cant wait to see them for the 2nd time in March in MALVERN!!!
are the dubliners on the late late show every week
Still better than most, tho.
:')
Frankly I could easily forget them! Sorry and all lads but you could not match Luke Kelly, Ciarain Burke, Ronnie Drew, and Barney and Barney Mc Kenna and including John Sheahan as a group of talented singers with intent and heart,
Not as good as the original dubliners
Who cares.
