TONIGHT I DECIDED TO PLAY THIS VIDEO TO MY DUBLINER WIFE, GERARDINE SPITERI BYRNE (76), SUFFERING FROM PARKENSONS. IT IS VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND HER SPEACH AND SHE FEELS DOWN. I FELT SO GOOD AND GREATFUL WHEN I SAW HER SMILING AND SINGING CLEARLY MOLLY MALONE.

I am a transplanted American married to a lovely Irish woman, and I love to listen to all these songs. The stories of joy, hardship, unfairness, life and death, all are the "peoples" stories. They bear repeating and are always worthy of remembrance. Just like the older country music and bluegrass tunes in America, the stories told are real and heartfelt. As long as we remember those that toiled, suffered, and even died in the struggle for a better life for their posterity, then their suffering was not in vain.

Great music lovely songs. The members of the Dubliners band were all very talented people. It was a well arranged programme. Lovely to see and listen to all the different songs from the different talented performers of the Dubliners Band
John Sheahon on Violin and Tinwhistle
Barney McKenna on Banjo, Ronnie Drew singing The town I loved so well. Jim Mc Cann singing Four green fields, Paddy Reilly singing, Come back Paddy Reilly to Ballyjamesduff and The fields of Athens. Mr. Campbell was great on the guitar and the man who sang Sweet rose of Avondale. I cannot recall his name. All told it was a great show. I was delighted to have seen it on CZcams. Thankyou very, very much ❤

Paddy Molloney (the Chieftens) teached me during one complete night in Lorient's Interceltic festival how to realise the best Irish coffee. If I did a mistacke, we must drink together the rotten one => We were all together drunk, drunk as could be at the morning but now I've to thank him to take all the necessary time to teach me how realise the best one! Thank you Paddy!! I never forgot you: you took all the time necessary for me!! It was a marvellous night! Thank you one more time: I was only 16's but you're realise my dream!! All incredible human beings, all so full of soulful talent, sorely missed,,, those who's voices have fallen silent.....in my humble opinion, John was the steadfast glue that kept this group alive through the many changes....I get tears in my eyes just looking at John sometimes because he carries so much and has endured so much through many years of all the changes. So very thankful for every recording we have to continue hearing this genius from the separate "leaves that blew together from different trees" to form these amazing sounds. This Irish girl is at home wherever I am hearing the Dubliners ~

such a band they gave us so much "music" pleasure. They were special men and they once had a concert in Goes in Holland and they came to the small town I worked and made our night in the pub.
i met them several times in Ireland where they just came into the pub where we were with friends.Abosolutely the best men friends and mucisans.
Deep respect for these friendly men. Love forever! xx jour friend Marjolein from Holland

Was going to say we will never see nor hear the likes of these boys again ... sublime singers entertainers & musicians who resurrected traditional Irish music & song during the 1960's. But thanks to the Dubliners our rich Irish music & song heritage which was virtually lost, has been now spread across the world for all to enjoy, and there is now no shortage of fine successors 50 / 60 years after their emergence and pioneering . God Bless them all ....
