I started using cup since I was 15. It took me 20 minutes to master using it, but it was all worth it. It's been 5 months and I didn't use pad since then. I use cup for the first 5 days and pantiliner for 6th and 7th day. If I didn't have pantiliner, I even used cup for entire 7 days which is totally fine. I love the combination of menstrual cup and period panty.
@@blue-ih7wf I’m not her but I just started using cups. I’m 15 and I absolutely love mine. I have a organi or now called the all matters cup mini. I previously had barely tried/ inserted the saalt soft small and it was just too big it hurt and wouldn’t open. I really like the one I’m using now :)
As long as you take it out over the toilet it'll be fine. Also you're meant to rinse it and then put it back in. I might get one for at home/when I'm not out for long, but tbh I'd never at school, I'd be too embarrassed. Even if it is just at home, it's still saving tampons/pads!
They don't spill as long as you put them in right. (You'll know because you'll barely be able to feel it if at all.) It creates a suction to you essentially. When you go to the bathroom you just pinch the bottom of it to break that suction and pull it out with the little end bit, just like a tampon string. Then dump it out, rinse if you can, then put back in. If you're not comfortable doing it in public you don't have too. I have 2 jobs and ive gone 16 hours without emptying it because I was busy and didn't want to deal with it at work. Such a life saver. You literally couldn't pay me to use tampons ever again.
I mean, I got curious when I got older. I started using Tampons (no cups yet) i when I was 14. I recommend starting near high school. It’s nerve racking but once you understand how easy it is, it’s worth it. There will be leaks so don’t think it will soak everything up, so wear a pad. Don’t be scared. If you are start with a small size in Tampax. It’s better to start small than really large that can stretch your v-j. There are three sizes so when it says, “large” “regular” and “small” pick small, most of Tampax doesn’t keep the same sizes in different types of packaging so I recommend always picking the small one once you start it or when you end it. Trust me, you’re going to be acting like it doesn’t even phase you 😂
You can ofc take anything for your comfort even tho I'm 14 i prefer using a cup and actually a medium size because have too much flow. I don't like pads cause it makes me uncomfortable to walk and smtimes it's wings are hurting my thighs. I haven't tried tampons yet but with a cup i feel as if I'm not even on my period expect when the cramps strikes💀
If you can feel it try a different folding method before pushing it in and try pushing it in further, or cut the stem (bottom part that looks like a long stick) to the size you feel most comfortable with (long enough to pinch with your fingers to help pull the cup down and not too long so that you cannot feel it and it can't bother you)
@@meepbeep7928 Umm I pretty sure you can some people lose there v card while horse riding, riding a bike, on a roller coaster etc. It is possible, just have to do your research it doesn’t always involves Genitals. It’s life 🤷♀️
Awesome! Try also a disc (it looks big, but folded it's the size of a tampon). It changed my whole experience and makes my life so much easier (auto dump is a game changer, no bladder pressure,...) than using tampons or cups. I wished those would have been available when I was younger.
@@rajsweety6012 sorry it took me so long to see this! But you pinch the base of the cup to get it to bend a bit and break the suction and then pull it out (by the base not the stem) keeping it upright, then dump, wash, and reuse :) Here are two links to show demos from this channel! They missed the whole point about hymen and it's build, which are varying. That's why using cup or tampon can hurt. Okay, you can fold a cup in a smallest wrap, but when you need to take it out, it always has to be it's actual size to prevent spilling:))) So, girls, sorry for the next sentence, but if you feel okay with ✌🏻 inside your V, than you'll be fine with the cup, without hurt and discomfort. Cup is a really game changer and saves you a lots of money.
@Takumi Usui Same for me , I can’t fit 2 fingers . I tried with a small cup and it was kinda uncomfortable to put in but I made it with the first Try . Now taking it out did hurt and was uncomfortable and definitely got a lot of blood on my hands 😅 …. It’s possible but it just hurts a little and it’s a bit intimidating
Yeah these are kinda for more experienced v havers, only those who have already experimented alone and are comfortable with it... Usually older teens and us adults
Damn thanks for mentioning the hymen. That was my main concern since they advertise these products to older women who might have their hymen already broken or have tampon experience. I don’t mind the penetration but I am concerned abt how it’ll go through my hymen
I recently started to use tampons and they are so much better than the bloody diaper. It doesn't hurt at all if you're doing it right and I just looked up videos on here on how to insert it properly. At first it may feel a little weird and then it feels like nothing
@@hollymcginnis1844 it's basically like, a semi "wall" inside your vagina, that breaks when you put a lot of pressure on it. A lot of people believed this to be the sign that a person isn't a virgin anymore, but that's been proven wrong as it can literally break if you ride horses or bikes or just exercise🤷♀️
Hey gals, from someone who's very small down there as an adult, it's not as bad as you might think. There are super flexible soft and extra small cups too, like they come in all shapes and sizes. But also, there are environment friendly reusable cotton pads that snap onto your underwear! I totally get that feeling of not wanting something down there esp during a period, cramps hurt and even pants being too tight is uncomfortable! You have options and don't let anyone shame you for choosing pads!
Dear, I sprained my ankle and got up and walked and iced my leg. But imagining anything in my vagina just freaks me out. I literally kick my gynaecologist with leg every time I go and I have to keep switching them because I am so embarassed. My point is that if my bone fractures I won't be as scared but going anything down in my vagina is the worst thing ever for me. Except when being intimate of course but anything else just scary.
Using a tampon scares me 90% of the time let alone trying to use a cup- I don't like the feeling of putting anything up there (so I only use tampons when swimming) I also dont understand period cups- how does it stay in place? How does it not spill? What if it starts to overflow?
It stays in place because of suction, and it covers your vagina walls collecting all the blood without letting any of it slip out. If it overflows it still stays in there and doesn't move, the blood accumulates on top of it but it doesn't escape and once you take the cup out it all goes down the toilet.
Ima just use pads-.. tampons scare me too much already I feel like the string will just fall off or I won’t be able to take it out (also I heard that tampons can like cause stuff to build up) and these cups are just a big no for me I don’t wanna be sticking that stuff up me and what if it over flows-? And I probably wouldn’t clean it properly cuz I would be scared making it look like a crime scene happend 🥲😭
It stays in place by using suction, basically there's a vacuum being created between your cervix and the cup. It can be easily taken out by squeezing the cup, thus breaking the suction. You need to change it every few hours at most, depending on how much you bleed. I usually only do it twice a day. I've been using it for two years now, never wore tampons before either (they always hurt!) but cups really aren't as scary as they look and really cheap too!
As a 15 year old I have been using this for a year or so, it never spills and I only have to change it once a day!!! It's so good and comfortable I forget I'm on my period 🌸 Never be scared to try something new! you never know you might love it
Do you have to take it out when you pee or poop? Do you need to sterilize it every day or just after your cycle? If not, do you use the same one each day while just rinsing it each day?
@@Lin-rr6pp hi! I use cup and I can try to answer! (this is all my experience and what I have learned) -no, you don’t have to or need to the cup works with suction, so for it to get out you need to get it out with your hand or pulling from the strings some come with -before using it again and after the end of period you sterilize it, some people also place them under some sun light, it had helped when it starts to smell like blood (that smell it’s completely normal) -yea! you use the same cup everyday until the end, you rinse it or can also clean it with some specialized soap for the cup, and get it inside! placing it and get the hang of it can take some time, normally one to three days to understand how your body reacts to it and what’s the best way! hope it helped a lil :)
@@Lin-rr6pp Haha yeah, pooing is no problem as once it's in its pretty secure, I generally just clean it with soap morning and evening before reinserting so it can be used everyday :) Also I soak it in a cup of boiling water to soften and disinfect when I'm not using it, and if I have to change it at school or in a public toilet I generally just wipe it clean with toilet roll then reinsert 💜
I was so happy to use cups for the first time today and I can finally poo and pee without seeing my pads hahaha and the rashes I get on pads, never again T^T. I prepare for this day since last month. Im glad I did.
for those worried about spilling it and where to rinse it when you’re out in public: you dump it in the toilet! also the great thing about cups vs. tampons is that there isn’t a risk of TSS, so as long as it doesn’t overflow, you can leave it in until you get home/to a private bathroom. i used to be able to go to school with it in, and never have to take it out and rinse it until i got home! so no worries about rinsing it in public ☺️ they’re amazing once you get the hang of it, because they save money, they’re better for the environment, and they’re safer for your vaginal health! i highly recommend getting one if you are considering doing so 🥰
also, they’re the best for swimming in, since there is no string that will hang out! super discrete and once you know how to put it in properly, you can’t feel it at all! (just like how you can’t feel a tampon if it’s put in correctly 🥰)
@@cyraviolet5958 no. There’s videos on yt that teach you how to fold it and if you do it right it shouldn’t hurt. You shouldn’t feel it all. They’re great honesty
Hey can u tell me in which hole exactly the menstrual cup is supposed to put? Upper portion of vagina or lower? Coz I'm unable to figure out where exactly to put it.
I'm 13 and got my period at 11, I mostly used underwear at first but once swim season came along I used tampons. My mom uses cups and was strongly urging me to at least try, and the first couple times I struggled, but live fully switched and it's a life saver. You can't tell it's there, you rarely have to change it, and it's so much better for the environment. I'd say it's almost like riding a bicycle, and I strongly recommend it for everyone.
I used pads for a while but since I switched to cups life had been so much easier. I’m so happy my mom introduced me to these at a young age, since I do ballet and pads and leotards to not go together. it’s so much easier than anything else i’ve tried.
Anyone else scared of suction? I bought one but I'm too scared to use one! I don't wanna get it stuck in there but it being vacuumed in place🤣(I probably sound so stupid)
Haha don't worry it doesn't get stuck dear... Give it a try, it took me 2years to start using it(I've been thinking but too scared to buy one) I've started using it for over 3yrs now and it's all worth it.
@@toxic_flower9463 no dear... It'll not get stuck. Be patient while you insert. Being anxious will close your muscles and you might have a hard time inserting.. so be chill and relax while you insert. 😊
For the longest time I had no clue what a menstrual cup was. I knew it was a period product but I had no idea how it could be used. Now I do! Thank you even though it wasn’t the purpose of the video
Thank God I found this months ago because I will never go back to tampons or pads, it is such a carefree product, super easy to put in and pull out (It took me a day or two to get the hang of it but after that it was a super easy process), easy to clean and take care of, saves me so much money, helps the environment, and best thing ever MAKES MY CRAMPS LESS HARSH 🤩. Since getting a period cup I stopped using period medication (and I used to suffer a lot throughout every cycle, gynaecologist told me I have dysmenorrhoea, and still a period cup solved almost all my issues).
started using a menstrual cup at 15, never looked back :) ive saved so much on pads and tampons, i dont have to change it often, and i definitely dont miss the diaper-feel or the fear of tss!
Hey can u tell me in which hole exactly the menstrual cup is supposed to put? Upper portion of vagina or lower? Coz I'm unable to figure out where exactly to put it.
I want to try it, but seeing as how I am much too scared to even handle tampons I'm not sure 😭 ww edit: I didnt expect to get so liked, this comment is typical: someone afraid to use products they shove up their hoohaw, sticking with pads. Although some of the replies are trying to be helpful (it kind of feels condescending, though. I'm sure that wasn't their intention.) I have very irregular periods. Heavy flow, insane pain I have to take birth control for and consistently vomiting every month amongst other symptoms. I'm often immobile and cannot go to work or school. I feel like menstrual cups will be much cleaner; but I'm not sure if I can physically handle it. My family also has a history of TSS lol. (TSS is 'toxic shock syndrome' or, it's more known nickname: 'tampon shock syndrome.')
They have a thicker edge, which works like... Well, like a cork you'd put in a bottle to close it xD and it won't move unless you *squeeze* it, then you can remove it easily. I used to have flows so heavy I suffered from anemia, I had to use tampon + thick pad and change it every 3-4 hours. I got the smallest cup first, it didn't leak at all... Until I pulled it out. It just had not enough space to collect all the blood, but it still "clogged" and stopped the bleeding. I found out that the biggest one was fitting for me, and I will never, ever regret it nor use anything else. It's much more comfortable, sometimes I even forgot I had it lol. It's safe for the night, you can go swimming, and somehow, the cramps I always had got better. I don't use it for now, because, as I mentioned above, my flow caused anemia and I'm on pills that fully suppress my period, but I still carry an emergency cup with me everywhere. So, if you had a chance to try it out, don't be scared. Either your life will get so much better during period or it won't work out. Nothing to lose, a lot to gain
It's magic. When you get it in place it gently locks in position with a kind of seal, like a suction cup against your inner walls. Then you are free to cartwheel away and it won't spill. And later when you are ready to remove it you can release the seal with a little squeeze and fold of the cup. Very cool once you get the hang of it ✌️
@@Butterbee1186 Hi ButterBee, Try this: gently release any suction with a squeeze and the cup should move down easily with a little encouragement. When the cup is near enough to the entrance use some paper to get a really good grip on the stem with one hand. Use your other hand's thumb and fingertips to fold the cup, ready to navigate the narrow opening without pain. Now it can't spring open because you have it perfectly controlled. Maintaining that double grip carefully pull the cup out by the stem. Go slowly. Once out, you'll be able to tip the cup out. Dry your hands and the cup with paper. Then you are clean and tidy, and ready to begin again. If you are very fancy you might have a bottle of water with you for extra cleaning. With a little practice you'll be able to master this. It's about having a good grip of the folded cup and mindfully moving through the narrow section. Another excellent option while you are learning is to do it all in the shower. You'll be a pro in no time! ✌️
@@river7732 Hey. You responded to someone else, but you helped me. I am 16, i was using pads mostly and sometimes tampons before. I think i might try a menstral cups. Do you know where to buy this mini one? I looked at cups earlier at shops, but i could only see the normal sized one's 😓
To take it out you insert a finger inside the vagina canal, as far as you can reach (usually the point finger works best), while pinching with your thumb the bottom of the cup where the long them is (you can cut that one to the size that feels best to you, you should cut it high up enough so it doesn't bother you when you sit but not too far up that it's not easy to pinch with your fingers to get the cup out). After that try pushing the pointer finger one side (left or right, so that the cup can fold and lose suction to the vagina walls) and with the help of your thumb you can pull it out slowly and carefully (you never want to be rushed or too harsh with it). This is what works for me, what works for you may be different so try a cup out and see what you find best suits you (there's multiple explanations on how to take the cup out in the package that the cup comes in, for every single cup brand, no matter what one you buy, so you can also try any of them you see written on the box and decide what you like most).
Just squeeze the sides very gently and empty it into the toilet. Then you can rinse it with cold water and put it in again. After your last use it's advisable to boil it for a few minutes in water to make sure no bacteria is left on the cup. The cup might stain permanently after a while but that doesn't mean it's dirty! It's completely normal for some blood stains to remain on the cup! There are many helpful videos on CZcams to help you with getting it in and out as well :)
@@mashi4525 I just got one and it works pretty well. When I took it out I just used a bit of toilet paper so it wouldn't get on my hand and it worked ok for me. Try using that if that doesn't work then I don't know 💧💀

I do shopping and deliveries for customers from grocery stores and one time I had to buy a menstrual cup. It didn't have a picture and I didn't know what it would look like and I had to ask 3 workers for help and it was so awful it was hilarious. I have a sister and have had several girlfriends so it's not like it was my first rodeo but it was every fear every man has when trying to buy tampons. This video was actually really helpful because I was curious about how they worked!
Wanted to try this but my mom legit thinks its for only non virgin people 😭. I explained to her that it doesn't effect me and I don't have to lose anything to use it lmao, she still didn't want me to

i’ve been using cups for about a year now. i have an insanely heavy and long period and it has completely changed the game. would completely recommend to anyone thinking about it.
I think the same way last month. Then I do my research and watch videos ( a lot) and repeatedly as possible. I was frustrated because it hurt and I can't insert it. So I wonder whats wrong. I explore my body and one night, I was so happy that I finally inserted it. I waited for my period this month and today I am using my cups for the first time while on period. I was so comfortable, but ofcourse, period cramps will not go away because we use cups right haha. It took me some time but I did it. I was motivated by girls younger than me who share their experience using cups. I was like "if they can, I can do it too". Know our own body will not hurt us.
I'm 24 and have been using the menstrual cup for over 3 years now! Complete game changer! Honestly recommend one, they save so much money, are better for the environment and are far more comfortable for me than tampons. If you're thinking about getting one, go for it if you can!
I’m 14 and I just got a menstrual cup. I mastered it in like 3 minutes and it’s so much more reliable then tampons or pads that may contain titanium dioxide which can harm reproduction. Menstrual cups are my new go to and I love how much they hold. Definitely invest in a cup or disc, I recommend a cup for beginners!

If pads are your thing, you can at least get really cosy with reusable pads. Cute and so soft. Way friendlier to the environment than single-use disposable gear.
i’m nervous to use a cup, though i want to for cost reason. i’ve had bad experiences with tampons and just don’t like them, pads are just easier. i took the quiz and it told me to get a really small one lol
I wear cloth pads and my sport is mountain biking. No problem. But also, for some people periods last only a couple of days, in which the highest flow happen in a very limited period of time (24hrs or less) so skipping one day is not a bad idea. Also, sometimes periods come with cramps, so we take the day off anyway.
Can't imagine myself using it (not only, but also) because of the size, actually. Remembering how the biggest night pads are filled by my blood in like an hour... And teen cups are even smaller... That would be a nightmare... Good to have alternatives for women hygiene tho.
Just inserting one finger down there hurts, can't imagine inserting this cup and then take it out full of blood...also, doesn't it make a mess when you get it out? you have to squish it to get it out so wouldn't most of the blood get out too? that would be too messy...wish I could see a video of someone pulling it out
Are you young? It may have broke your hymn. Which isn’t a big deal as long as you’re ok with that. I didn’t really care about mine because it doesn’t mean I’ve lost my virginity and it probably already broke because I ride/own horses! Hope that helps lol
I'm so glad that there's actual content about this! When I first got a Menstrual cup I had no idea what I was doing. Also the only one available had an edged pull out bit which causing a lot of pain.. I had to go to a sex shop to get one that didn't feel bad!
how do you take out a cup without getting blood all over you? ive never used one and have thought about it but im worried it will get stuck/lost and i’ll end up with blood all over my hands
It's not possible to get it lost, your vagina isn't a bottomless hole But I'm curious about the "getting blood all over you" part too. Like how do you do that??
This is what works for me, what works for you may be different so try a cup out and see what you find best suits you (there's multiple explanations on how to take the cup out in the package that the cup comes in, for every single cup brand, no matter what one you buy, so you can also try any of them you see written on the box and decide what you like most), and yes your two fingers that ate being used will get a little dirty, but it's okay because while you rinse and clean the period cup before putting it back in you can also wash your hands and clean both and you will get used to it at the end of the day. Also, a period cup suctions to your vagina walls, so it doesn't really move and it can't get lost or go anywhere in your body, it's too big to move and go anywhere anyway.
Pull it down holding the stem so it's like a wine glass. The worry about it getting lost is impossible, there is an end to the v, it's like a cul-de-sac. If it gets kinda stuck because of the suction or angle, you just squeeze the stem and push down like you're going #2 and it comes out enough for you to squeeze
It takes practice and you might get a little messy your first few times, but that's ok! I recommend the first few times you try to empty it to be at home where you can easily rinse off.
@@gab._.byyj. They really are! Ive gotten every girl in my life to try them and ive yet to meet someone who doesn't love it. Its definitely got a learning curve but 20 minutes of practice/adjusting and then its a life saver. You literally couldn't pay me to ever go back to tampons.
It's definitely scary to try, i had some struggles during 1st use and it felt painful because i didn't know what to expect. Regardless if you're teen or not. «Your vagina is meant to stretch, its the vaginas lifes purpose» Gave me bigger dysphoria than i coudl ever describe.. now i would rather want the other and not this ;-;
I'm a teen and I've been using tampons until recently. After I saw your channel pop up a few times in my feed and watching a few videos I decided to buy a menstrual cup for myself. My period ended a few days ago and I gotta say I really like it. It was very comfortable and honestly not that hard to put in (although pulling it out was a bit of a struggle). I don't think I will be going back to tampons. Would also love to try out some disks in the future.
here's a little suggestion to young people trying the cup: I started with cups at the age of 18 and the problem I faced was that after successfully inserting the cup inside, it would just never pop open, no matter how much I tried. And it was because I was afraid, stressed or uncomfortable with the device due to its lack of familiarity. And when we are stressed, our vagina clenches a lot and what helped me was to breathe and calm down. And after properly calming down, I pushed my vaginal walls outside with my finger and then circled the rim of the cup and it worked for me! And after a few cycles, using the cup was like child's play! So, don't stress over and calm down first to be able to use the cup properly.
What always scares me about using one (I'm 15) is it I put it in wrong, it leaks, or my worst fear is it getting stuck.. I have been trying to build confidence to try and use one but my anxiety always shuts me down
For me they've work great for almost 10 years. Also I feel a lot cleaner. I guess is not for everyone but I've been using it since I was 16. No expending money every month is also a plus
I started using cup when I was 15 and suprisingly I got it in my first attempt. Needless to say, in this one year of me using cup, I've never once even thought wearing a pad. Ik some people are scared of trying it out or are not successful in theor attempts (my sister too) but do not give up trying people....cups are an absolute boon for periods. The key is to just relax your vaginal muscles. Try to use tampons before you switch to cup ✨
I started using one since I was 12, two years aftet I got my first period. It was not really hard to learn how to put it inside and take i out, but it's about practise. Don't worry if it takes you a couple of minutes putting it in for the first time, you just need to get used to it. Also if you do it corretly blood shouldn't spill and you shouldn't feel it inside.
Thanks to you . . Your vedios gave me the strength to use menstrual cup . . I was so nervous to insert the cup when I bought it first.. bt after watching your vedios I taught the different types of folds of menstrual cup and I tried labia fold and it was success.. now I'm very comfortable with the cup ..
I just bought mine last week and I'm excited to wear it on my next period. I'm sick of using pads, I hate them, my private area hates them. So I made up my mind and decided to buy menstrual cup
How do you figure out what size is best without having to spend so much money? Everywhere I look these things are $20 each and I can’t afford to keep trying out new ones

I’m so scared to use this because I have no idea where to put it or if the blood is going to spill. It’s cheaper and better for the environment tho
As long as you take it out over the toilet it'll be fine. Also you're meant to rinse it and then put it back in. I might get one for at home/when I'm not out for long, but tbh I'd never at school, I'd be too embarrassed. Even if it is just at home, it's still saving tampons/pads!
Same like I don’t wanna be polluting the earth with my bloody diapers every month 😭

Yeah, the thought of anything penetrating me is extremely disturbing to me. Just, no.

You're not alone😥
Then you probs did it wrong
might have to push it up higher
If you can feel it try a different folding method before pushing it in and try pushing it in further, or cut the stem (bottom part that looks like a long stick) to the size you feel most comfortable with (long enough to pinch with your fingers to help pull the cup down and not too long so that you cannot feel it and it can't bother you)
Walking/moving around too will help. It’ll snap open which is briefly uncomfortable but then it’ll be locked in and you’ll forget about it.

Which cup would be best?
Dear, I sprained my ankle and got up and walked and iced my leg. But imagining anything in my vagina just freaks me out. I literally kick my gynaecologist with leg every time I go and I have to keep switching them because I am so embarassed. My point is that if my bone fractures I won't be as scared but going anything down in my vagina is the worst thing ever for me. Except when being intimate of course but anything else just scary.
Using a tampon scares me 90% of the time let alone trying to use a cup- I don't like the feeling of putting anything up there (so I only use tampons when swimming)
I also dont understand period cups- how does it stay in place? How does it not spill? What if it starts to overflow?
Pads are also just fine :)
It's so good and comfortable I forget I'm on my period 🌸
Never be scared to try something new! you never know you might love it
Do you have to take it out when you pee or poop? Do you need to sterilize it every day or just after your cycle? If not, do you use the same one each day while just rinsing it each day?
@@Lin-rr6pp hi! I use cup and I can try to answer! (this is all my experience and what I have learned)
-no, you don’t have to or need to
the cup works with suction, so for it to get out you need to get it out with your hand or pulling from the strings some come with
-before using it again and after the end of period you sterilize it, some people also place them under some sun light, it had helped when it starts to smell like blood (that smell it’s completely normal)
-yea! you use the same cup everyday until the end, you rinse it or can also clean it with some specialized soap for the cup, and get it inside!
placing it and get the hang of it can take some time, normally one to three days to understand how your body reacts to it and what’s the best way! hope it helped a lil :)
@@miahk.4014 Thank you!
@@Lin-rr6pp Haha yeah, pooing is no problem as once it's in its pretty secure, I generally just clean it with soap morning and evening before reinserting so it can be used everyday :)
Also I soak it in a cup of boiling water to soften and disinfect when I'm not using it, and if I have to change it at school or in a public toilet I generally just wipe it clean with toilet roll then reinsert 💜

for those worried about spilling it and where to rinse it when you’re out in public: you dump it in the toilet! also the great thing about cups vs. tampons is that there isn’t a risk of TSS, so as long as it doesn’t overflow, you can leave it in until you get home/to a private bathroom. i used to be able to go to school with it in, and never have to take it out and rinse it until i got home! so no worries about rinsing it in public ☺️ they’re amazing once you get the hang of it, because they save money, they’re better for the environment, and they’re safer for your vaginal health! i highly recommend getting one if you are considering doing so 🥰
also, they’re the best for swimming in, since there is no string that will hang out! super discrete and once you know how to put it in properly, you can’t feel it at all! (just like how you can’t feel a tampon if it’s put in correctly 🥰)

Ok I’m a sophomore in highschool and I still have this question. How do they not spill 🤨🙋♀️
Very cool once you get the hang of it ✌️
How do you take it out without it going everywhere?
@@Butterbee1186
Hi ButterBee,
Try this: gently release any suction with a squeeze and the cup should move down easily with a little encouragement.
I looked at cups earlier at shops, but i could only see the normal sized one's 😓
how do u take it out when it's full tho? Also how do you know where to put it😃
To take it out you insert a finger inside the vagina canal, as far as you can reach (usually the point finger works best), while pinching with your thumb the bottom of the cup where the long them is (you can cut that one to the size that feels best to you, you should cut it high up enough so it doesn't bother you when you sit but not too far up that it's not easy to pinch with your fingers to get the cup out).

I'm super small and can't even use tampons without it hurting really badly (I can get in the thinnest size) but I hate pads so much I wanna try out menstrual cups but I'm to afraid to try them out 😓
If pads are your thing, you can at least get really cosy with reusable pads. Cute and so soft. Way friendlier to the environment than single-use disposable gear.
Nvm am switching to pads
cups saved me tons of money. really best thing ever
i’m nervous to use a cup, though i want to for cost reason. i’ve had bad experiences with tampons and just don’t like them, pads are just easier. i took the quiz and it told me to get a really small one lol
I’m gonna use tampons and menstrual cups when I get my first period cause I do sports 4 days a week and I’m really really active
Thank you for this video I’ve been dying to know how the cups work cuz like a period cup??? It sounds wired so I was curious about how it was used
Can't imagine myself using it (not only, but also) because of the size, actually. Remembering how the biggest night pads are filled by my blood in like an hour... And teen cups are even smaller... That would be a nightmare...
Good to have alternatives for women hygiene tho.
I was using tampons for years and never satisfied I tried some cheap cups from Amazon and I was thrilled!!!! So easy comfy and cheap!!!
Just inserting one finger down there hurts, can't imagine inserting this cup and then take it out full of blood...also, doesn't it make a mess when you get it out? you have to squish it to get it out so wouldn't most of the blood get out too? that would be too messy...wish I could see a video of someone pulling it out
Right girl ugh 🥲
today my order will come when i was trying this i felt pain and blood start flowing

I plan on asking my mom to get me the mini I don't like pads and tampons seem scary so this seems best for me
sister today my order come when i was trying the menstrual cup suddenly i feel alot pain and suddenly blood start flowing
i started using a cup when i was 13 and it was the best decision ive ever made. so glad theres so much more information about them now!❤️
*Me who’s 15 and still uses pads*
how do you take out a cup without getting blood all over you? ive never used one and have thought about it but im worried it will get stuck/lost and i’ll end up with blood all over my hands
It's not possible to get it lost, your vagina isn't a bottomless hole
But I'm curious about the "getting blood all over you" part too. Like how do you do that??
I started using cups 4 years ago as a teenager after tampons weren't working well for me and your videos helped a lot :)
I’m scared to use shit like this because WHAT IF IT DISAPPEARS INTO OBLIVION?
it won’t. it’s vagina, not jungles
I'm 12 but I'm intrested in using one for swimming
You could but I think its be easier to start off with a tampon? I haven't used one of those but it just seems messier.
These are great for swimming and you dont have to worry about changing it, etc like tampons. So much easier to deal with.
@@gab._.byyj. Theres basically no mess. Taking it out is the same as a tampon, and you just dump the blood out.
@@shey8984 Oooh that sounds nice then
@@gab._.byyj. They really are! Ive gotten every girl in my life to try them and ive yet to meet someone who doesn't love it. Its definitely got a learning curve but 20 minutes of practice/adjusting and then its a life saver. You literally couldn't pay me to ever go back to tampons.
"Oh so that's how u use them...."
I really like your work! Thanks for sharing!
It's definitely scary to try, i had some struggles during 1st use and it felt painful because i didn't know what to expect. Regardless if you're teen or not. Like plucking the eyebrows, it's painful at first but then it doesn't bother you at all after some time. You only need some time and practice to adjust, feel free to use the lube too.
I try using it but it hurted so much when I try to put it on
My mom even guide me trough it since she’s been used for about 3 years now.
(I’m 16 btw)
Bro same
Same but When i tryed tampons for the first time when i was 13 it took me 30 minutes and i just gave up after that lmao, did you try useing lube? I heard that helps
@@funkyfresh2053 i did
But it still hurts
So I just gave up and stay with the pats
What if it gets stuck 😭
It can't get stuck, it uses suction. You squeeze it on one side and it will release the suction.
I have vaginismus and I really like the small. It doesn't hurt me like tampons do.
The cup has been around for many years. I used one as a teen (14) all the way up to menopause. I highly recommend it! It wasn't uncomfortable at all, and easy to clean.
Why does yt recommend these videos to me sorry to break it to you CZcams I haven’t had my period and I don’t need to see these please stop recommending them to me
I mean, they're still giving you knowledge about yourself and your options🤷♀️
POV: you are a guy
Get out of here 😂😂
Ok I’m terrified of just the thought of these- like what if they got stuck-
Ima just use pads-.. tampons scare me too much already I feel like the string will just fall off or I won’t be able to take it out (also I heard that tampons can like cause stuff to build up) and these cups are just a big no for me I don’t wanna be sticking that stuff up me and what if it over flows-? And I probably wouldn’t clean it properly cuz I would be scared making it look like a crime scene happend 🥲😭
i was super scared of tampons too, but i recommend trying it out because they could be useful for certain situations like swimming. the first time i tried them on, it felt like iit was just falling out. then i learned how to do it properly and i just wore it for like 4 hours, safe, completely forgot about it. theyre scary but worth the try, and they made me feel much cleaner than pads
i’m a teen but my period is extremely heavy, just because i’m not an adult doesn’t mean my period isn’t heavy
FUCK NOO I WOULD RATHER DIE THEN USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A PAD
Lmao I remember I use to be like that, For 5 years I used pads, used a tampon for the first time and then questioned why tf I didn’t start using one sooner
Honestly… i once used a tampon and i started crying that shit hurt me so much so i physically cannot use a cup… 💀
use a pad then?

Cups are the best....❤
Correct
I use the specific brand Saalt. I'm 18 now and I've been using it for like 2 years now. Menstrual cups are the best honestly.
Thank you
I had no idea this existed until now lmao
I’m scared of cups even with all the reassurance
Diva cup is very slim but still long. I'm so happy it exists to start my cup journey.
