I remember before the 2016 election people simply said "we need a change." They were not able to say what sort of change they wanted, they couldn't say anything more specific than that. They simply knew that Trump would bring a "big" change. It never likely even crossed their mind to think about the kind of change he would bring. These simple mined people certainly got what they wanted and we are suffering today, many years later for their simple mindedness. In 2016 I researched Trump and said no to him. I did not vote for him because I knew what would happen if he was elected. It turned out worse than I imagined it ever could.
Notice how the "we need a change" people only say that when things are working well? They never want a change when things have gone to hell.
@@StringerNews1 the reason people wanted change in 2016 was because Obama's slogan ran on it, people still want change - we still want there to be no mass shootings or overdoses or things that corrupted our world. And the dangerous thing about this is that the people who refuse to accept that things should stay this way are immediately associated with political or religious dogmas. I have no idea why you wouldn't want change to the massive debt America accrues, or military defense spending, or even reform for education and police so that risks are at least reduced.

There are a lot of voters who work more than one job and still have to take care of their family. Not everyone has the time to sit on their computer all day to research political candidates which is what it takes to make an informed decision these days. People depend on the media to tell them the truth and that is the crux of the problem. The media is so full of BS now and it's only getting worse. It's not all about simple minded people, you just want to sound like you're smarter than everyone else.

Tell Silverstein he does not have to do the obligatory - "he does not fully support Pres. Biden thing." I have never supported 100% of what any president I voted for, has done. I get weary of this obligatory qualifying type statement. Just focus on the issue at hand - what the network is planning which is horrific and what we need to stop. Trotting out the obligatory less than full support statement continues to weaken the candidate we need to win. Sheesh . . .

The choices are an admittedly old man who has done some things people would prefer he had done differently, and a career criminal conman rapist traitor who is running for president just to stay out of prison and who is openly promising to suspend the Constitution and imprison anybody who has ever opposed him.
I think it does the opposite. It tells other voters who also don't align 100% with Biden that voting for him is still preferable to casting a vote against democracy.

When they say 'Deep State' what they mean is the rule of law. The rule of law constrains them from the power to dominate the 'others' which, as history tells us, is an ever expanding concept after a tyranny is established. The reign of terror after the French revolution is an example.

Part of the problem here is that people who see around corners are very susceptible to conspiracy theories. Pattern-matching is a legit skill. However, the ability to over-rely on it creates feedback loops and results in delusion. Most of the people who are the most effective predictors of events/outcomes are millimeters from madness. When tightly managed within programs and by staff who harness/manage their trust, they can be directed and the outcomes impressive. But when these individuals retire, release, or figuratively escape from that highly controlled management...
You left out the roles played by religious ideology and The Love of Money since people who find reason to "attack enemies" are often richly rewarded for their willingness to be not so public assassins.

He is an investigative reporter, not a TV reporter. He is trying to remember details, literally visualize, and interpret, in real time. That is a bit slower than planning the words, before speaking.
