I was born in Miami in 1957 and moved to HIghlands County in 1987, where I've lived for the last 34 years. I love it here. We're glad you came to visit. Thank you for sharing our sweet City on the Circle with the world.

My grandma and grandpa settled there after they retired in Ohio. They both met at Wright Patterson Air Field in the 1940's. They loved to play golf and we're attached at the hip. I have fond memories of it in my youth.

I have lived in many places in Florida including South Florida and Central FL. Also have lived all over Philadelphia, PA. I have found Sebring fl to be the most tranquil place to live. I have lived here almost 10 years on and off. I can probably spend the rest of my life here. 😀

She was correct when she said not fantastic about the mall 🤣. Our mall was packed but recent years has died fast. You guys do a great job of seeing the good in the city. We appreciate your kindness.

I wondered how they were going to hype up that cemetery of a mall. wasn't surprised that that segment was over as quick as it was. I live right next to the place and I never go in there, there's no point.

This is an amazing blog of my hometown of Sebring! I used to work at the Museum. So glad you all had so much fun! Dees Place & the Sebring Diner are some of my favorite places to eat in Sebring! Yes, the sweet tea is amazing at Dee’s! I also learned something new about Sebring. I didn’t know about the Lost Mines of Atlantis!! Thank you for putting this amazing vlog together!!!

Y’all are almost to 1000! And a month before I predicted it! Congrats guys!
It’s gone a lot slower this week honestly! Haha! The spring break season is over and the travelers have gone back home to finish school before they come back for the summer, so not as many watching our videos!

I’m hoping that was a good thing. I think we were surprised how much fun we had in such a small town. Meeting the mayor was cool. Honestly, I think this video had some moments which were some of the funniest to us we’ve ever recorded. A couple of them thanks to my mom. 🤣😂🤣
I remember when that mall was amazing.as a teen the arcade was the best place to spend Friday and Saturday
Do you know anything about the old resort building? We saw what looked like a formerly very nice hotel off in the distance off the road when we were there.
@@AikenAdventures the old harder hall resort? Not much other than built in the late 1920s.there’s stories of it being haunted,a company or two have attempted to restore it only to run out of money..

Yes, the mall is dying and businesses are moving out to US 27. They have been using the mall to distribute COVID injections, though.

During my life, I've seen times when people preferred shopping in shopping centers, then that trend dies out and people prefer shopping malls, then it circles around to shopping centers again, etc. I think right now shopping centers are becoming more popular.

I grew up in this town. It’s a nice town for a family and grandparents. Honestly… I don’t miss it lol. I live in Orlando now and I love it here. I go back time to time to visit family. But overall nice town just not for young people 😅.
Yeah, it’s nice that it’s quiet, but there are a huge number of attractions or anything.

That’s a great question. Since we only visited there one day, we’re not really the best to answer that question, but there are some Facebook groups made up of the citizens of Sebring and they seem very helpful.

Best thing to do in Sebring is go to the speedway on a race weekend
When are those held? I’m not a race fan so I was totally unfamiliar with this claim to fame prior to arrival, but now, I’m super fascinated by it!

What future does a youth have living in Sebring? It looks dead with no place to earn a good living. Ive never seen a downtown with almost no people. I own land in Sun N Lakes but its only for investment.

Scratching my head after watching this and reading the comments. I'm sorry, but Sebring is kinda lame. Highlands Hammock is dope, but everything else is extraordinarily mediocre.

I live close by, it boring, boring restaurants, nothing to do. The ocean is an hour or two away. A lame child museum, a diner?. Only reason i go to Sebring is for doctors. Millions of old people and doctors. Downtown is stupid snd equally boring!!

What parts of Florida do you like the most?
Much of south Florida is crowded, noisey, jammed with traffic, and has lots of crime. I love the small towns of central Florida. so quiet, peaceful, and safe.
