Good to hear from you! Absolutely! When we bought the annual pass one year, it was on-sale for really cheap and we bought it for Vivian. We could go any time we wanted and one parent ride along with her on any ride. We may have done one adult annual pass so that we could also ride a few of the more “intense” rides.

We took passports for ourselves, but birth certificates were fine for the children. I’m pretty certain that we paid all of the fees prior to arrival and weren’t require to pay anything else upon arrival except for the taxi.

It’s not as white as the Gulf Coast, but it’s certainly a lighter color than the Treasure Coast to the south or Daytona to the north.

This summer has been unbelievably hot! We were just at SeaWorld and it was so crowded, too!

Also, yes! So relatable to WAY over do it! This channel was founded from my insatiable NEED to do ALL the best things in ALL the best places ALL around Florida and when that wasn’t enough, I added “beyond!” 😅

@GenJenandJuice It’s amazing how quickly they develop their communication ability at this stage. Hems rapidly expanding his vocabulary every week! Also, totally agree that we need to head to a cooler climate for a minute! This summer has been unbelievable!

He really is! Actually, it wasn’t too bad, but we almost accidentally did everything. 😅

For what items worth, traditionally, it cools down a tad more in October. September is usually the height of hurricane season, and this year has been SUPER hot, so predictions have been for an active hurricane season. (Although, hurricanes can sometimes come as late as October historically, odds seem to decrease then). Hope that helps!

Congratulations on your wedding! Cash is very helpful for international travel. We were able to use our debit and credit cards at various places on the island, but the taxi, for example preferred cash. Which port are you sailing to? I’m guessing Freeport. If so, we have other videos about our experience on the island.

We actually went in May, but still a valid question.

Not to my recollection. Seems like the children’s area and activities were included. Great place to hang out on a rainy day.

Current official answer on their website: “Aquatica Orlando provides United States Coast Guard (USCG) Type III life vests in a variety of sizes and Type II for infants free of charge throughout the park. Only USCG Type II or III life vests may be worn; floatation devices such as noodles, swimmies, in-suit floatation devices, personal swim rings/floats and boogie boards are not permitted.” Hope that helps.

I guess that we could have just not paid the fees, and they did provide a vacation in exchange for the payments, so 🤷🏻‍♂️ it is what it is. The marketing is a little shady, BUT we had a good time. We’re kind of glad we finally took the trip and can move on. 😅

@@AikenAdventures Hey there. We go at least four times a year. It’s changed a lot over time but this way we don’t have to feel like we have to get to everything in one day. 👋🏽

@surfboard396 same. We usually don’t go and stay all day for everything unless we’re hosting people.

Yeah, there are definitely better ships to take kids on, and we probably wouldn’t have picked it if it weren’t for the vacation arrangements that we “won,” but it was nice to take them on a short cruise as their first cruise experience. It gave us confidence about taking them on a more kid-oriented ship soon. Overall, we weren’t really exposed to anything crazy, but we tend to go to bed early in our family.

I think the basketball court is next to the tennis court.

@@AikenAdventures I just looked it up and I was incorrect. While the lazy river is called loggerhead lane there are no turtles. You can see the other side of the aquarium that the slide goes through as you’re on the lazy river. The one with those dolphins that look like baby killer whales

That is true

For some that is the selling point lol. But you can live there and just travel to the crazy city life in Orlando or Miami. Then return to the peaceful living.

We felt it was pretty safe. It’s a very small town.
