What a delicious sound of the "good old" Alouette III of our Dutch Royal Air Force! Thank you and many happy flights and safe landings! Arie Bert Versteeg from the Netherlands ;-)
Rhodesia. 1970 to 1980. Our workhorse helicopter Was shot down in one July 1979 during the rhodesian rhodesian war. Cat 4 repaired and flew again Amazing aircraft
Memorial Hermann Life Flight of Huston Texas used to have three of these French Aluette III helicopters in the beginning of their mission. In 1976 they had their first helicopter. Then, in 1977 they added their second helicopter. Then, in 1978 they added their third helicopter. The three French Aluette III helicopters were white in color.
Very rare sight at manston seen a Dutch one belgian one swiss one missed the Irish air corps one in 2007 came through for airshow at bireset in belgiam
It is quite scary when one has to put his/her face on the engine when it starts, also peeping through the many holes on the rear fuselage, what if kaboom and face turns black?
see flight activity is always the best way to relax for me
Every Indian living beside a defense base would recognise the high pitched noise of this chopper. Still serves the Indian defense.

I served the RNLAF in 84/85 at AB Woensdrecht and witnessed several times the "Grasshoppers" demo team training their flights. What a great machine!

I use to work on the Alouette III of the IAAC during the 1990's. I miss the sound of them, even at the time I did not like it. Great video!

Well the bovines seem well adapted to the noise and takeoffs.

Alouettes sound like a tiny little turbine being worked to the death.
