The Roof is one of MC's greatest masterpieces of all time!
I was 11 when this song came out. I remember it sounding so... dangerous, so ... sexy, so mysterious. It still sounds like that to me now 23 years later. Mariah pulled me into Hip-Hop/R&B
I was 13 in this ERA, still one of my favorites from her till day! I feel so blessed that i have grown up with MARIAH's music as the soundtrack of my LIFE🦋

This is my very favorite Mariah song. I had a similar experience to this song, but in San Francisco to a very warm and humid thunder storm with Robert (who I very much was in love with). Having this song on during this passionate moment was not planned, but oh how delicious... All the windows were open and the red velvet curtains were blowing around.
I wish there was an acapella version of this so we could appreciate all the vocal parts!
