And the actual lyrics are incredible too. She’s artistically incorporated references to actual moments that inspired the song and she does it very subtly. e.g. the “could have been so PERFECT” moment is taken from a conversation she had about her breakup with Derek Jeter, who she’s singing about in this song. But we wouldn’t even know that if she didn’t mention that conversation in her memoir. So that went unnoticed for the longest time. Makes me wonder how many more Easter eggs were unaware of. There were a lot about Derek for sure lol.
