    Any issues with this after a few month of using? A lot of reviews on amazon say it stops functioning properly after a few months and the customer service is horrible. Anyone relate?

    This gimbal has been in my Amazon Watchlist for ages. I have a DJI Osmo Mobile 3 for my Samsung S21 Smartphone, but would ike a gimbal for my Sony ZV-1. Christmas 'funds' have already gone on this M11 Pro MacBook Pro, but my Birthday is in January. I like the amount of stuff you can do without the gimbal app. Thanks for the demonstrations.

    Excellent footage from the most beautiful city in the world - Glasgow.
    Only joking - I know it's Edinburgh. Had the pleasure of living there for 17 years.

    Hi Great video! I have a question my gimbal has just come through and I'm not having a great time figuring it all out! lol
    But do you have to connect to the app to be able to access the full functionality of the gimbal? it's just I hear a lot bad reviews on it.

    • @vivianbailey9407
      @vivianbailey9407 Před 4 lety

      Also, I have a Sony a6400 with Sigma 16mm F/1.4 lens (it's heavy) it keeps dropping down. Any advice on that?

      @@vivianbailey9407 You shouldn't need the app, I never use it and yet can still use all of the features that I care about. As for it dipping down, check the camera is correctly balanced with the gimbal powered off to compensate for the lens, you may need to slide the camera shoe backwards or mount the camera through a different hole on the shoe so that it sits further back. It is also possible that certain lenses may simply be too heavy for a small gimbal like this to manage.

    I've ordered one of these alongside a 1200d for shooting some cars in pits at motorsports events, I think I'm going to be opting for the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Black Lens mainly for my tripod/fluid head, but also the gimbal if it will work. HOWEVER have been struggling a lot on making that purchase because I'm worried the weight inbalance is going to be too much for the motors to handle, it's 375g and the camera body weighs roughly the same, is there enough space on the plate to properly balance it? do you have any bigger lenses you have tested on the camera ? let me know if anyone else could give me a hand here :)

    • @camerongray1515
      @camerongray1515  Před 3 lety +1

      I'd be concerned about the weight too to be honest, this gimbal is only really designed for compact or mirrorless cameras, a full size SLR itself is already potentially pushing it so I'd definitely not be comfortable using larger lenses with it. You'd really be safer going for a larger gimbal that's designed for SLR use. That's if it'll mount in the first place, my A6000 is basically the widest that the gimbal could take so if the 1200D is any wider, you may have an issue.

      Just arrived today, it's a great piece of kit for the money and I'm definitely going to have some fun with it, but gonna have to look for something way beefier to pair with the Telephoto, thanks for your recommendations, great video. A well earned sub from me. :)

    Hey, I've been looking into this gimbal. I was wondering where you got it from as you mentioned Chinese import. I see it's quite cheap on TobyDeals/eGlobalCentral, was it from either of these?

    • @camerongray1515
      @camerongray1515  Před 4 lety +1

      Mine was from eGlobalCentral - I just refrained from recommending them due to their fairly variable customer service.etc - everything went fine for me but I didn't want to recommend them then have someone run into issues!

    • @HyperGadgets
      @HyperGadgets Před 4 lety

      @@camerongray1515 I definitely understand. I've never used them but have definitely heard of them, the savings does seem like it may be worth it but the lack of warranty is something that's on my mind.

    • @camerongray1515
      @camerongray1515  Před 4 lety +1

      @@HyperGadgets Yeah, for me I decided to take the risk. I made sure to pay by credit card so that I was covered by the Section 75 protection which would cover me if the item didn't turn up or failed and eGlobalCentral didn't honour their warranty.

    • @HyperGadgets
      @HyperGadgets Před 4 lety

      @@camerongray1515 thanks, I'll make sure to use either a credit card or PayPal for protection. Also, I contacted Feiyu Tech about it and they said it would still have 1 year manufacturers warranty as long as you have the receipt and warranty card
