Stardew Valley is a simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. Players take the role of a character who takes over their deceased grandfather's dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. The game is open-ended, allowing players to take on activities such as growing crops, raising livestock, fishing, cooking, mining, foraging, and socializing with the townspeople, including the ability to marry and have children. Fun story about Stardew Valley, a few months ago I got really obsessed with it and wanted to share the game with my cousin to cheer her up⊠I wanted to cheer her up because we had just attended our grandfatherâs funeral⊠Iâd forgotten about the beginning scene

my grandfather passed away last week, and we're heading to the funeral
tomorrow. i knew it was happening soon, and during the first week of january, i started up a new farm. i definitely took a moment to have a bit of a cry. but i've been playing it a lot since to keep my mind occupied, so it's comforting all the same.
For those curious, this mod is called Stardew Valley Expanded and is compatible with both Ridgeside Village and East Scarp, two other mods that adds two other towns to the valley along with unique npcs, events, and more marriage candidates. I would highly recommend all of them together or even separately if you want start dipping your toe into modding Stardew Valley!

Have a massive mod collection I've arranged with all 3 of these plus mermaid island, walk to the desert and zuzu city(i think) plus various other things. It makes the game feel massive and somewhat overwhelming at first but it's so fun and adds so very much to the game. Play for days and still feel like you've barely scratched the total content
Now that Kevin knows how to mod Stardew, there's truly no stopping him. I expect more chaos to come.

Fun fact: miners made little oxygen tanks for their canaries to try to resuscitate them after they passed out. Turns out, humans get really attached to little creatures that help keep us alive.
That is the most random fact you could have left here, yet somehow it fits perfectly
Iirc they also like properly buried the dead ones and moral would take adrastic drop every time
Well, I was gonna look up when ducks sleep just to ruin Kevin's day, but I ended up in a weirdly fascinating wormhole of duck sleep facts so...here are my favourites:
- Ducks are in "defensive mode" when they sleep, they keep one eye open to be aware of danger
- Ducks sleep in a row, and the ducks at either end of the row are the guard ducks
- Ducks are semi-nocturnal, they take short naps during the day and can be quite active at night
- If a duck is asleep on water, it'll rest its head on its chest or back; if it's asleep on land, it'll probably be on one foot
- Half their brains are still active when they sleep, so ducks can swim while they're asleep
OH so thatâs why youâve gotta keep all your ducks in a row
So theyâre like dolphins? Neat!

Morris is misunderstood! He just wants to make money at the expense of local business, the environment, and susan. Is that so wrong?
@@himanbam Actually, he is. In SVE anyway. He actually genuinely believes that Joja will improve the country, and overworks himself (And of course his employees) to ensure Joja's success. He's one of the two NPCs I have 10 hearts with, the other being Sophia. His friendship is really easy to buy, since he likes quartz, which is as common as it gets. Funnily enough, he hates Joja Cola, and tells you to get it away from him when you try to gift it to him. He also hates Joja Cola and Joja Popcorn if you take him to the theater. For someone who looks so cartoonishly evil, he has some pretty endearing dialogue "Weekends? I don't even know what that is! *Morris' smile fades quickly*" "We desperately need to restock. Looks like I'm gonna have to stay late on a Saturday again..." "I better catch the bus and head home. Or else I'm gonna have to sleep under my desk again..." "I spent a large sum of my recent paycheck to make improvements to the Joja store. Corporate won't give me another dime to make renovations." Along with, in a town full of farmers, the only person to give me some legitimate farming advice, telling me that I could buy a certain crop that had just enough time be harvested before the end of the season.
@@himanbam Also, don't act as if anyone cared about Susan. Not a single person even mentioned her. I'm honestly suspecting they didn't like her, and were glad when that landslide trapped her on her farm.

I live for Sims and Stardew Valley videos from Kevin because you know when he's playing, chaos is king.
My favorite are when he plays multiplayer games with random people and ends up with a group of followers. He brings the silliness out of others.

Trolls in Among Us (severely overrated game now that I have actually bought it and "PLAYED" it attempted to do so multiple times over. So is the Imposters Mode in FN as well) banning people from servers for no reason other than just to do it not even for others having inappropriate names or actually breaking rules i.e were this Space Station 13 and Self Antag-ing. All fine and fair is fair I'll just do it to others as well since that seems to be the new meta about the game anyways) Makes me effing sick to the point of purposefully being toxic myself in return for theirs, hatred breeds hatred.
If I'm going to be fked by someone say an admin on a server, it better be for a real offense or worth MY time and not because some kid is Admin or Co-Server Host. Maybe it's an adult abusing their admin powers. Learn from the great Mathew Mercer, do not punish players in game stuff, just give them disadvantage on ALL rolls until you think they are ready to move on or something like it. Gmod and the many toxic server hosts. Rust is only fun if you are Admin or on a decent server. Halo is full of hackers, and no one can get along, period despite being a decent human being. It's also full of Fortnite Kids (I play FN too, but I never speak to anyone or play on teams it's a waste to every capacity.) Same with Minecraft, I only play single player. Too many creeps and children with a very very small aperture of the world, no aspirations or they want to induct me into some occult, not cult but OCCULT. Then sometimes I encounter people who seem okay, but then somehow their toxicity surfaces and I see them for what they truly are, stupid and not worth the paper they are printed on. It's not a case of charisma, or having some stat bonus, nor intelligence mark, this is NOT a effiing video game, this is life and OTHER PEOPLE are HELL, and this is the reality of the situation.
TLDR People suck so effing much and no amount of watching YT'ers is going to change that fact of their audience is still comprised of morons as well as zoomer idiots and the occasional actual person, nor that I hate other people in general. I hate all everyone equally. It's not a race thing it's that humans make me sick to my stomach. I must be allergic, deathly so. Nothing will change the fact of the matter that God wastes their precious "infinite" time with us and all for not. Why?
You should totally play more. The mod add new content throughout, but there is definitely an emphasis on late game. I think you need to complete the community centre to unlock my favourite character - Apples. Please consider making a longer series of this, there's just so much to explore.

Probaby why he didnt knew about it. Kevin cant allow himself to use things that make his work easier. He must go out his way to make games more complicated that theyre, otherwise his brain wouldnt be able to handle not being sorrounded by absolute chaos.
But the people locator in the map looks useful, gifting things to some people * ahem * sebastian * ahem * can be pretty tough.

Kevin, you can change the entrace of the mine to be back in it's original location. You just have to tick the box in your mod settings. There's a handful of other adjustments to this mod you can make there too. It's in the in game menu.

Modding community makes any game immortal indeed. Replayability is insane once you started using mods or became a modder yourself. Personally every single player game that I played I always looking for mod as long as I finished playing the game and since I used to be a programmer I also mod the games myself as long as the game allowed me to do so. đ

Honestly Morris is the only real bad guy in the game, So when he didn't have a birthday I didn't even ask questions I knew the devil just put him there
You don't the lore behind every character in Stardew Vallley, do you? Even in the orignial game, I considered Morris a better person than Pierre (I'll be honest: I can't remember why, but I had a reason) and SVE makes that so much more pronounced by making Morris an actual human being. ("I spent a large sum of my recent paycheck to make improvements to the Joja store. Corporate won't give me another dime to make renovations." kind of says it all) Also, it's not that he didn't get a birthday because he's evil, the cashier at the store also didn't get a birthday in vanilla SV.

Pierre takes credit for your good produce and blames bad produce on you.
Pierre is a massive capitalist who would charge people 10 times the market value if they allowed it.
Pierre is a terrible father to abigail (whose real dad is probably wizard anyway).
Pierre is a terrible husband, running his shops on events against his wifes wishes.
Pierre gets upset that people shop at Joja and thinks hes owed the business of the villagers.
Morris is just a business man, he doesnt pretend that hes better than anyone and just does his job. Not to mention Joja helps the entire community infinitely more than Pierre or Lewis- Repairing the completely destroyed infrastructure of stardew at a very low price. Eventually they even help with building a theater

I love this mod pack! I havenât finished it even after tons of hours of gameplay. As someone whoâs played regular Stardew for years and become a bit bored with the redundancy after finishing it, it was SO NICE to feel like I was playing a DLC of sorts. Love it and highly recommend!

The bit of dialogue from that NPC regarding hiding eggs and nobody finding them is a nod to a Gilmore Girls episode when Kirk hides eggs for the egg hunt throughout the town, but he forgets where he put some of them and the whole town ends up smelling like rotten eggs.

you can swing your sword at boxes and barrels in the mines to open them without using energy! i hope thatâs helpful :)
edit: you can also use your tool in a 3x3 grid centered on your character (e.g., you can water 9 crops just by standing in the center and clicking on each of them)

Oh! And if you head down to where the flower dance usually happens in the vanilla game, you'll find a whole forest to explore with lots of foragables.

Iâve played stardew valley expanded on a couple play-throughs and thought it honestly made the game way better, to the point where I donât really like playing vanilla anymore lol.
Ridgeside Valley mod is also pretty good but itâs honestly TOO much. It adds an entire new town and like 50+ NPCs and I find it overwhelming but itâs still well done.
Loving the video, have been wanting to see you play the extended mod for a while! Hopefully we can get more of it

Ducks also end their day with a good rest at night, but they are not confined to full nighttime sleeping, which means they require daytime naps just like toddlers. Their sleeping patterns vary greatly depending on various factors, like the housing conditions and environmental changes

yes!!! stardew valley expanded is so good. even though i never managed to fully endgame vanilla, i loved having even more room to run around in and explore and new people to meet. it definitely made events feel more filled out. also the inclusion of Perpetually Horny Jeric was a blessing for us all.

Mods I like are ones that add cool animals, like lung dragons and wyverns. Some aren't working so well right now like adding Wooloos or the broken sprite work on a Vulpix mod, but most are very good.

@@sterthester736 I just checked and it only adds 14 villagers, so there's another mod that adds villagers.
It is just SVE. Iâve played it myself. There are other mods that add more, youâll find them if you search.
SVE has its own wiki so check there for install directions, itâs a bit complicated.

Ah yes, the Stardew Valley Expanded! Pretty amazing mod, I've been loving it and I'm pretty sure I've only seen the tip of the iceberg that is this mod :)
Accidentally gifting has consistently been my pet peeve with this game. I swear I gave away at least a dozen things that I didn't mean to before I got into the habit of keeping my sword in my hand. Which seems just as bad. Worst is when you're trying to build relationships and it's something they hate. It really feels like you walk up to somebody to ask a question, but oh, I happen to have this dog poo in my hand, so it's yours now.
I play on my tablet and the amount of times I have accidentally clicked something in my with like my pinky or another finger because my hand is hovering just *too* close. I've accidentally gotten myself killed before because of this but I can't have my inventory at the bottom of my screen I have to have it on the side and I'm a lefty player so sometimes it makes it hard to see what's over there
I have had the opposite problem, like I try to give a girl a flower she likes and my character immediately asks to eat the flower in front of her when I try to gift it.

I was gonna say how Iâm so excited that Kevin only scratched the surface of stardew extended, how the joja route has a whole entire plot of destroying the valley and morris can become mayor, how most of the expansions come withy he completion of the center or joja warehouse, but it all changed at 11:38 when I died inside cause he mined a breakable container.
Imagine being Kevinâs neighbor and you donât know Kevin or what he does, but you can hear through the wall as he records and shouts about duck people or rotting corpses.

It seems Kevin appreciates the mod for telling him when shops are open, even though the map will tell you that in vanilla Stardew.
I love how Susan became Kevinâs biggest concern.
