Hello Fafa, nice video. Does paprika have a local name?
I hope someone reads this and can help. Sadly I don’t know the local name
Thanks for this. Normally when I cook jollof it sticks, I never steam it with the paper. So hopefully this will be perfect. First timer set for 15 mins. Thank you.
+Lyrical Healer use a non stick pot
I need this cooking pot!!!
got carried away by the pot lol. I love your style....I'm trying it now. and oh btw I subscribed.
The clay pots will be available on my website www.ndudu.co.uk from the 2nd of November
+Ndudu by Fafa - I also need that pot! Looks amazing :) When will your shop be online, up and running? And will you be selling spices as well? For some reason, I can't find Selin anywhere in Denmark.
scorlastica OMG I was saying the same thing. Isn't it amazing?
@@NdudubyFafa I can't find the website. I was interested in your stuff.
It has a lot of tomato in it and I'm not a massive tomato fan so I was wondering if it's very over powering with tomato ? Or do the spices change it :) X
You don't actually have to put any tomatoes in it at all if you don't want to. Or you could just add the one if you prefer :)
You can reduce the tomato quantity to your preference.
I was in Liberia in the Peace Corps and they had a different version of Jallof Rice. I looked at your printed recipe and it does not mention adding water. You mention adding a cup of water after the rice is added to the sauce. Can you please clarify?
Add the washed Rice to the sauce and then the water. You can substitute the water with your preferred stock.
Liberian jollof is different
looks very tasty *hmmm* i am a big fan of Jollof rice. I only want ask some, the rice is not cooked before? i tried these once in a time and the rice never was done *shame on me* second pls what is selim? i cant find here the german explain. Bay leafes give a good taste to these jollof rice (is selim nearly the same taste?) At last thanks so much for sharing i enjoy and like to try ;)
Grains of selim has a musky black peppercorn flavour. You can omit it.
U will get it in African shop in Germany

hello Fafa,
my question is a little bit away from jollof rice, but will ask anyway...
which type of cooking oil is most nutritious ; vegetable, sunflower, plant, soya , groundnut or coconut? and why?
thanks.
The nutrients of most oils are destroyed when they reach a smoking point and can be harmful when consumed. Each type of oil has varying amounts of fats (Polyunsaturated, Monounsaturated and Saturated fats). Sunflower oil, Groundnut oil, Coconut oil and Avocado oils have high smoking points , which means you don’t loose most of its nutrients. Best to do more research (Google) and make your own informed choice.
Thank you very much, Fafa.
