  • Homemade Tilapia Soup / A Traditional Fish Soup Recipe / Ndudu by Fafa
    Fresh fish soup is one of the popular dishes in Ghana and it’s enjoyed with a steamed fermented Corn dumpling, called Banku or Amorkple.
    This is an equally easy to follow recipe, which produces a flavour packed soup. This soup works perfectly in this cold weather and a must try for your Autumn or Winter dishes.

    Save your fins and bones and heads after you filled or prep your fish! Just put them in a bag in the freezer! What you do is salt lightly, and then dry fry them with whatever seasonings, I prefer garlic ginger and scallion or onion and pepper. Once the pieces are crispy and kind of brown, add boiling water, and the resulting broth will turn milky and full bodied!! Then strain out all the bones fins and whatever, and use to make soups. When certain recipes call for cream or milk, you can sub this, and its healthier! I make fish milky bone stock like this when I get sick. It's a trick I learned from Chinese cooks actually!

      @NdudubyFafa  Před 6 lety +1

    •  Před 5 lety +2

      @@lauranicaina6871 You can boil fish bones (or fish parts that you intend to throw away) in water for a few minutes, then simmer until the water is a rich colour. Then separate the bone/parts from the liquid; that will be your fish stock.
