- Since I posted the Partridge Family’s “I Think I Love”, to be fair here’s a song from “The Brady Bunch”. Unlike “I Think I Love You”, “Sunshine Day” did not chart. The song was written in 1972 by Stephen R. McCarthy. The mono audio track on this came out amazingly good. If I didn’t know better, I’d think it was in stereo.

If you weren't raised in the 70s you don't get the happiness they brought and my favorite episode was when they went to Hawaii!!!
Yes exactly
My favorite too! Bobby don’t throw the tiki!!
I agree
I sing this song every time I go for a walk and the sun is out. It just appears in my head
Me too!
The thing I love about this is it looks like the kids really came up with the choreography on their own. They don’t look too polished.
I did always think it was weird they bow and the song is still playing when they start talking to the host🤣
Yes lol, great observation on the unpolished performance though..
Some would say time constraints and money played a part in this.
But there's nothing more effective to give it a sense of reality than minimal rehearsal and practice..
You watch a TV show now and its so finally polished, they spend 6-8 hours a day for 4 or 5 days just to end up with 30 minutes of screen time, production costs are huge.
And the end result is some kids show where lines are delivered perfectly and nobody makes a mistake..
They seem like emotionless robots and the editing makes it even worse with quick cuts, no slow panning to show the viewer how the actor might look across a room, just right up close, deliver line, smile and cut straight to the next scene.
The industry today has forgotten this.
They'll take an old classic movie made on a budget that raked in 1000 times its budget, redo it at huge cost and it'll barely cover its cost
I think its more like this was the best the choreographer could get out of them
IKR, but of course it's lip singing. It seems like the audition choreography may have been intentionally unpolished. Element of surprise for the live performance, maybe? Great memories though!
Yes Greg forgot his deodorant
Yes, there was no budget for his nonsense
Kids today have no idea how important this moment was
No kidding!
How important was it?
Kids today are from outer space
A watershed

I was born in 1972, this song was my first solo in 3rd grade music class. When life gets tough. I pull this song up- it ALWAYS makes me feel better. Love you all, always have, always will. Love and light to you and your families and, thank you.
Love & Sun are the same…the wisdom is in the lyrics. 💜 & 🌞 to all. Have a sunshine day! 😊👍
I Loved This Time in My Life!!💁🏻💐💐💐🌸💝🥰
I am 14 and this song is amazing, for me this song is one of best songs in the world
As somebody who is old enough to remember seeing this when it originally aired on Friday night on ABC back in the early 1970s, it did my middle aged heart good to read your comment!
Don't speak to anyone on the internet. Signed, your mother
I will never stop loving The Brady Bunch Series
I'm 22 so obviously I wasn't alive when this first aired, but I grew up watching Brady Bunch reruns. I always loved this song.
Bobby Brady was so cool in his number! 🤩🤩🤩
This was never cool. Not even in 1972. Led Zeppelin was cool. Stevie Wonder was cool. This was not.
Ok boomer😂
2024 and this still bangs.💀❤️🔥
It’s A Sunshine Day recorded by The Brady Bunch was released in 1972 on Paramount Records. The single peaked at number 42 on Billboards Hot 100 singles chart.
In my opinion, this song is better than 90% of the songs on the market today but that’s just me
For me I'd say 90.1%.
the songs of today ? they got a lot of nerve to label this garbage that we hear now music
Pls be serious
@@ilovetati91 I am
💯 Right on
The 70s were sunshiny times. Can ya dig the sunshine?
Far out and Groovy 😂
The 70's were horrifying and violent
@@jacksonb6674Not to a grade school kid they weren't. They were magical.
I'm 55 yrs and counting and I dig the sunshine 🌞👍
I’m 55 myself and I agree with you this song never never fails to put me in a good mood
This sure brings back memories and feelings from half a century ago. What happened? Where did all that time go? I was young then. I'm old now. But this makes me hope miniskirts and go go boots come back into fashion one of these days. They are so cute.
Those sure were better times. I remember those days vividly. Back then I never imagined this world would become as rotten as it is now.
@@nativetexanful absolutely, I’m kind of sick about it.
@@nativetexanful
Watergate and Vietnam War just for starters
@@sexobscura Those were unfortunate events, but they were minor compared to what's happening in the world nowadays.
I'm a Zoomer and I agree things seems so much more simpler in the 70s,80s,and 90s.
Bobby has come a long way from when he couldn’t get into the glee club.
This show was boroadcasted on TV in Japan、when I was a kid. It's my favorite show !
This may seem lame today. I was born right after this. It just makes you feel good. Inocent Fun! It's Absolutely Hard to Believe That This is From 50 Years ago!!!
It was a different time. There was an innocence in life that's gone now. I sure wish I could go back to those days.
It’s still a fun song
@@nativetexanful As long as we Don't go back to the Tate/Lobianca Murders i'm with you.
Same❤
This never get old.
My favorite Brady Bunch Song
The Brady Bunch played a major part in my personality that led into adulthood. This song in specific has always been my default theme in life! 🌞🌻🌞🌻🌞🌻🌞❤️❤️❤️
I'm watching this for the first time in 2023 as a 40 year old and find the children the sweetest. They are too nice for this modern world.
Back in the early 70s, I use to watch The Brady Kids animation show on Saturday mornings on ABC. I listen to every song from the animated program. The cast is tight knitted family. I have always kept them in my prayers whenever they have their ups and downs. May God continue on blessing their health; mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. I miss Ann B. Davis aka Alice. I sense she had a pleasant spirit about her and I was always drawn to her character from the Brady bunch in a positive way.
Oh I totally agree this is Gen Z generation has no idea what fun is back in those days that was the most fun and I absolutely love the song the TV series and the two Masterpiece movies they made BTW love the video brings back memories I was still watching The Brady Bunch and the 80s and the 90s when it was still on TV😊😊❤❤❤
Sure. And when the Gen Zers are your age, they’re going to say the same thing about the stuff they loved. Everyone thinks their time, their memories, their stuff was “the best”. It wasn’t.
I really really love the Brady Bunch!
Bobby has a good voice too when he was singing those two solos. I like to hear them now sing this song.
I like how everyone including the guys look happy and like their having fun and not forced
I love the show, but their singing bits never fail to make my skin crawl.
I’m 34 and love the Brady Bunch! I use to watch it with Mom who grew up watching the show.
I'm 27 and would watch it with my grandma.
I grew up with the Brady Bunch, so when Peter’s voice was having voice change, and so was I🎉
By all accounts, the six of them actually got along really well during the run of this series.
Yes, but same cannot be said about Mike Brady (Robert Reed) who didn’t get along really well with the writers and producers throughout the series.
But Robert Reed never took his displeasure out on the cast from whst I've read.
@@denniswood7503 He loved the other cast members and always returned for the reunions because of them.
55 degrees and sunny in the middle of February in Chicago brought me here...... It's a win for us here 🌞😅😅😅😅
Yes same it's sunny here in NW IOWA gonna b 51 so this is the first song my mind goes 2
And the Beatles probably wrote "Here Comes the Sun" one day when it was only part cloudy and 65 degrees in England.
my buddy had a doggy named "sunshine" - we would sing this to her when out for walkies RIP girl
Love this song on a sunny day
Came to this in 2023 after Barry Williams (Greg) danced to this song on Dancing With the Stars
He should been in the final three on dancing 😢 I watched for him only this time.
ayo 🤨
Welcome!....you have a lot of catching up to do..lol.....enjoy....
No way!
" I Think I'll Go for a Walk Outside Now.." Lol... Ya Gotta Love it.. I Certainly Do.. Absolutely Iconic 🙃🙃🙃🙃🥰🥰
I used to manage nightclubs..I'd love to hear a dance remix of this
My favorite show
Got to see Barry Saturday in Hope Indiana at Hope Heritage Day still so handsome
Sounds really good, and clear. Picture looks really good to.
Omg! I love this song and the Brady bunch soo much .
Wow I love this little kid's bluesy solo in the middle. He's a real blues guy... possibly the next Jim Morrison????
Mike Lookinland who played Bobby.
Correct, Mike Lookinland. Who went on to be a major Dead Head. He has claimed to have attended like over 700 Dead Shows.could be more. I loved this show as a kid and passed it on to my kid. And I myself have seen over 100 GD and post Dead shows over the last 40 years.
@@richrojo2010 Gee that’s real dedication! Perhaps this kid should audition for that band. He really has good soulful vocal chops.
SUNNY DAY
SWEEPING THE
CLOUDS AWAY
this is absolutely the most groveing melody of the 20th century
extraordinarily uplifting
Right on! Groovy
LOL, I hope you are being sarcastic.
Greetings from Sunny Wautoma,Wi. 😊
Brady Bunch and Partridge Family were musical bound on television
One of the best episodes❤
Marcia Marcia Marcia! When she came out for that solo I was done !!! 😍
Groovy song! Groovy outfits! Great Memories! ❤
I just still know every word
Bobby's "little Tony Defranco" moment is hilarious
DeFranco was actually good, though
@silentg: As in "Heartbeat (It's A Lovebeat)!" That was a tremendous Seventies era Toe Tapper.😂🎤💝🎼🎵🎶🎸🎹🥁B.W.
Everybody was so skinny back then before computers video games and cell phones. Good memories!!!
It's Hollywood, bro.
It was like that in real life. If someone was overweight they were probably older and lower class. In an entire school there would be a handful of fat kids.
This is even funnier when you’re baked as hell like I currently am 🤣💨 I was just laughing picturing my dad as a teenager or my grandpa just rolling their eyes and going “wtf is this?” Because there were only 3 channels (and PBS) on tv back then lol. My mom and her younger siblings LIVED for the Brady Bunch lol.
My era ! loved it
This song goes so hard.
I love this I grew up on this clean.
Been stuck in my head for a month now ahha finally put it on
Man. All these coordinated moves just blow my mind😂😭
That’s awesome. Bobby could’ve been the next Michael Jackson.
Yeah, Bobby sure did have some moves on him !

I love Mike Lookinland.
Greatest band ever!
Wow, dealing with those microphone cables must have been a real challange.
I’ll NEVER FORGET Marsha getting hit in the nose by the football! - And the Halloween Episode !!!! “ good times… GREAT memories!!!!” - “Gen X, Here! Lol :-)
Gen X here too! Yes! All episodes are ingrained in my mind. Was in syndication and got to watch every day after school!
Likewise, Gen X here, and I used to watch the Brady Bunch in reruns every day after school! I remember being inspired by the episode where Greg gets his own room (his Dad's office) and turns it into a psychedelic pad with cool colored lights and stuff - I put a few colored lights in my room after that!
I thought Maureen McCormick was so pretty back then. 50 years later, I was right. She is still pretty in this video...
Thank you for commenting
She's an American beauty 😍
She is
The real magic is how they made this sound as good as it does when only two of them can sing at all.
Still love this show
❤ love Brady Bunch ❤❤❤
Hands down the greatest most legendary rock band in history! Those dance moves! 👍
I think the Beatles may have a few words to say about that
Every time it's a sunny warm day this song plays in my mind 🥰🥰🥰🥰😎🔥 I love that its 1972 that was a fabulous year 😉 😘🥰🥰🥰😎🔥 born 1972
Marcia Brady, my first crush.
So bad it's good! Wishing all of you a Sunshine Day!!!
This uplifting pop song juxtaposed with the killing going on in Vietnam in ‘73
Love watching a good bunch
If you listen closely this is a cover of the Sesame Street Theme Song. You can play both songs concurrently; they fit together
Yes!! I noticed that
THIS SUPER LEGENDARY
I just noticed how Cindy's mic keeps changing hands at the end with the edits lol. Love this so much though ❤
❤ Great job 👍
I ❤️ this song and show 👍☺️❤️
Sounds pretty good. Love the song!
I bought 10 copies of "Sunshine Days" on the very first day!!!
I noticed this when I watched it on the show, but if you turn it up you can hear that Maureen McCormick is actually singing and they didn't totally edit out her voice when they dubbed in the recording
Love this!!❤
*Music from the upcoming Broadway musical "Quarantin'd"*
Well done
Does anyone remember when these guys took a trip outside of the house it was an excitingly better episode?
My dogs favorite song and it’s 2022.
Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I can live in this era of television and shut myself off from the real world. I pity my parents' generation.
The Brady Bunch reminds me of the Jackson 5 stepping out on stage the Brady Bunch. Kids are very talented. They should get a record due Hollywood stars.
The "payphone episode"...😊..bobby hall monitor../..the flashlite ufo....and the list goes on and on..
DWTS brought me here! Go Greg!
I had to show this to my 6yo!
Pop Classic.
great bass in that song...
Wow a week ago revised?? How funny is that??? I was playing it cause I had gave this song as a dedication to music group for helping me create my happy place for the day incase something goes wrong today.. 🙃 I guess now you're apart of that too.
Simpler time, when America was nice to live in, we said merry Christmas to each other too! 🎄🇺🇸
People still say Merry Christmas. Stop pretending the evil non-Christians are persecuting you.
Was listening to this song today
The silver platters!! Lmao. Forget the story why they chose that name....parent anniversary gift or something like that. Classic.
I think because they were trying to earn money for the purchase of a silver platter gift for mom and dad. Jan misunderstood what the salesperson said the price was so they were short on cash
@@nmtg yes....that was it. Haha!!
@@nmtg Jan always botching things.
Jan wasn't wearing her glasses and smashed into the parents silver platter gift on her bike
@@mikebarrett4649 It wasn’t the silver platter Jan smashed into it was the picture of the six of them
This was my jam!!!!
this song slaps, fire vibe
From Amateur Night(Episode 92). Listen to Mike Lookinland's solo in the song.
Forgot how many bangers the Brady Kids dropped back in the day 😂❤
