I kinda wish there was an established norm for that type of stuff, like either nobody gets assistance or it's always given. The latter seems like it would advance the meta more and foster good relationships between regions.

There’s a video on the discussion of Kazuya and Steve that features Big D where he says that he grinded many bad matchups and now feels „like a wall”! It shows he’s insanely good.

The only thing that changed for Big D is attendance. He's always killed it wherever he went.
Sucks that kurama had ices in the way, not good for stubby mario. However super kudos to Big D cause he played this matchup so well and his neutral was really strong. Super excited to see him at summit.

This was so entertaining to watch. Big D icies are cracked and probably the funnest character in ultimate right now (not to play against but to watch lol)
Ok but how has nobody commented on how impeccable the Big Defense was from Big D? Like watch from 14:00, for like 15 seconds the climbers became a hitbox factory and there was no way for Kurama to get in or even hit them with a fireball.
The way that Big D simply smothers down approaches is one of his biggest strengths agains close quarters fighters like Mario

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed like Kurama did much better when he was aggressive.
Of course, I'm a scrub so my opinion isn't worth much.
You can be aggressive when you know the match up, not the case here
Icies does have good defense for aggro plays, especially close quarter fight, does struggle with zoners and swordies, but Big D makes those characters crumble. I love his Desyncs and SoPo play,😁
