Hey guys, so the question asked about the headwear is usually down to regional and local interpretations of styles. In Islam, for women (beyond the milestone of puberty), there is a religious requirement to dress modestly in public or in front of people that are not from her immediate family and who she can _technically_ get married to**, or are strangers to her.
    **
Please note: Muslims refer to 'potential relationship' by the end result of a union, as there is no recognition of holding any intimate relationships (viably) outside of it)
Also: this headwear is in the public sphere, and during religious prayers. It is not expected anywhere where she has the privacy to live without being gazed on by an outsider to her household.
At home, if she so chooses, she can wear sheer veils on her head (as the female protagonist of the TV series is wearing), but usually there is no reason to cover the head at home. Unfortunately, unfamiliarity with religious rules means that quite often Muslims are more _culturally_ Muslim in their dress sense than 'religiously' so. Meaning that people in Muslim countries might be generally aware of the 'concept of head covering', but may not understand exactly what it requires technically. So, in this sense, the protagonist is usually wearing a cultural head covering, not a religious one for most of the show.
Men and women *both have a set of rules to abide by in public or in the company of others* in behaviours and dress.
Men are generally recommended to wear caps (not too dissimilar to the concept of skullcap that the Jews adhere to), to cover certain body parts at all times, avoid certain clothing items, avoid certain excess in clothing and accessories, and lower their gaze when in the presence of women (out of respect for the women, their right to privacy and ultimately humility and God-consciousness). As for women, they must wear opaque clothing when travelling out in public, that is long-sleeved, not too flashy, and that does not draw attention to a woman's curvature (which is a significant part of both the feminine form and body allure). [They are also required to avoid wearing any perfume or makeup in public.]
Coming back to your question about why there is a variation in the style and choice of head-coverings: this is due to local influences, fashion, evolution of style, and local sentiments. It is not due to religious reasons. Just how people take influence from their surroundings, clothing and headwear also take-in influences that may or may not set in with the definition of religion. Think of how nuns used to dress and how their habits evolved, or the dress of Christian, Jewish or Hindu women evolved over the years. The head coverings have all but disappeared, the dressing rules have been changed by secularizing and globalizing of communities across the world.
The Muslim hijab however is not subject to 'times'. Muslim women continue to honour the faith tradition and dress like the Blessed Virgin Mary (peace be upon her) in Islam.
I hope that answers your question,
    -A

About the head cover thing. It is recommended in Islam and since most people living in Pakisan are Muslims so you will usually see women with a head scarf or cover but the different degrees of cover are most likely due to a person's personal choice or preference. We do tend to be more careful in mosques with our attire.
What's different is that we're mostly consistent with our choice of coverage like I wear dupatta (kind of a head scarf) and I wear it everywhere I go outside unless I am feeling very experimental or whatever but dramas aren't consistent with that so they confuse me often too.

this drama tells the story of ascending from worldly love to godly love...in spiritualism islam's basic concept is "oneness" when you believe in oneness that's when you reach the point where allah intended the human to be...so in many love stories written by sufi saints they discuss the concept of how purest love for a human being can take you to a point where your whole world and all the thoughts and your everything becomes centered in that one person(its something much larger then physical attraction) to the point where common logic of even hate, love, greed, etc doesn't remain relevant...your materialistic thoughts are dissolved and there is just that single person left in you,as waris shah wrote"i was calling ranjha(the lover) and then i became ranjha"...that's the point where even the "object of your love becomes secondary" and only purity remains...that's when even when mansur allhaj said"i am truth",it wasn't polytheism but just love for god...or as bulleh shah said"if i look for you inside then who is outside?if i look for you outside then whose colours are these inside me?"....it's the concept as rumi discusses"you dont have to try to love, you just have to remove all those hurdles that are stopping you from loving"....so no matter what type of love it is,if it is pure then it will definitely take you to the truth of this universe...that's what basically is discussed in this drama...

Its neither age or occasion or anything, it's very complex cultural settings! It is a region where u find descendants of Greeks, Aryans, Afghans, Arabs, Turks, Persians, Mongols, Huns, Europeans, which has evolved over a period of thousands of years
U have to understand history of Pakistan, n study a lot!
It's a country consisting various ethnic groups, 22 languages are spoken here
Religion is important aspect of our lives, however, it's not imposed as it is shown in western media.
Except for rural regions where you may find strict practitioners of religion but again its there choice
Yes, there are regions where women are completely covered and in some cases their heads are covered and faces aren't (like the way Mary is depicted in Catholic Church or like a nun) but its not like a very clear demarcation of here women are like this and there like that! It's mostly choice.
Then u have the regional traditional mixing with the western, that u can see in the videos as well,so u see these contrasts

The attire of the main character is kind of a cultural monk attire. The region where this series takes place is east central Pakistan, which is semi conservative and deeply traditional. If you watch this season it starts in metropolitan city and moves to semi urban city, and the attire of female characters changes accordingly from no head covering, and mix public gathering to head covers and gender segregated gatherings.

    1. I love how y'all coordinate the colors of the country in your outfits, looks and environment.
    2. I love when Efra vibes with instruments and makes the sounds.
    3. Waleska is always somehow hitting right with her assumptions on the movies 😂
    4. Your questions about Islam and headscarf are welcomed. I won't speak on this cause I'm kind of confused too but it is just a normal thing for me as a Muslim to see women wear different kinds of headscarf or clothing.
    - Tbh, the ending of this serial was a disappointment. I watched it mainly because of Iqra Aziz, whom I've been a fan of ever since I saw Suno Chanda (1-2), and because of the OST. I haven't seen many Pakistani movies but I can recommend "Bol". It's from 2011 and stars one of my favorite Pakistani actresses, Mahira Khan, and one of my favorite artists, Atif Aslam. Atif is also singing in it.
    - I recommend Humsafar (serial) from 2011. Again it stars one of my favorite actors/actresses, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. I fell in love with both of them through this serial. I've watched it like 6-7 times. The OST is a banger!
    - Suno Chanda (serial with two seasons) is my comfort drama and a favorite too, starring Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz as the main leads. I fell in love with them through that serial. Again, the OST is a banger. Farhan sings them himself, from both seasons.
    - But it's hard to find english subtitles for the Pakistani serials. I know some do have, like Khuda aur Mohabbat 3. Maybe you guys could make a video reacting to Pakistani OST's? That would be cool cause there are so many good ones and the music video's to them are just as cool.
P.S. Yes, that is Iqra's real eyes. She's just a beauty, Masha Allah and her acting is no joke.

We have lots of parties and get togethers and gatherings usually so that’s where we have fun. Our culture revolves around getting together with family and friends quite often, eating, dancing etc. and very community orientated. Same with weddings, they’re our parties. We have weeks of celebration and invite everyone we know which can sometimes be 1000 plus people.
And in regards to head covering. It’s quite cultural, it depends on your family or individual choice. For example, I live in England and I personally don’t wear a headscarf. Neither do my sisters. Some cousins choose to wear a hijab for religious reasons. They’re more religious. And some wear it loosely over their head which is cultural more than religious, so a bit of their hair may be showing. If there’s a funeral or some religious event I will also cover my head. Otherwise with cultural clothes I will wear it around my neck. It’s very personal and cultural

Wearing full cover clothes is mostly a cultural and religious thing. Although modern clothing are also being worn.
The place you are saying as temple is called 'Shrine' in Pakistan. These are the resting place of highly religious people, who lived couple of hundred years ago.
When a person Leaves world's glamorous life and wants to spend his remaining life, in the teaching of God. They heads towards these shrines.
When hero is Laying in shrine, the background is not Party. They are same kind of persons, singing poems in the name of God.
And when a person could not marry the love of their life, there is nothing in the world for them, so they heads to these shrines and pray to God for rest of their lives.
This change in Life style due to heartbreak have deep roots in Urdu literature. We have single words: "Majnoo", "Aashiq", "Malang" depicting this whole paragraph.
Its just in theory now, only homeless people are spending their lives in shrines now a days.

It’s all preference some women cover because they would like to others don’t because they don’t like to, however in most cases this doesn’t mean they are not practising or religious but just do not like to cover, all comes down to personal preference really. I will say it takes a certain type of courage and spirituality to be fully covered

After a girl's puberty, it is an Islamic requirement to wear headscarf or to cover themselves in public or from those who aren't from her immediate family. Unfortunately many girls don't follow it and continue their western or eastern dressing and some of them them follow it according to their comfort zone like someone cover entire body except eyes, some just wear headscarf or some don't do it at all.

Pakistani women wore sarees in the past... Is it vulgar according to Islamic standards since only girls are judged on the basis of their clothes in Pakistan ??

Pakistani music is beautiful their dramas are mind blowing especially khuda aur mohabbat and suno chanda
Actually I started watching Pakistani drama cuz of Iqra Aziz
This woman is gorg as heaven
But I want to also tell u guys
Pakistan is soon gonna collapse cuz of the extremism and from England it seems beautiful but in reality it is hard for girls who live there
They are forced to wear burkha and hijab
Only few women can wear shorts or whatever they want, that too in urban areas like Islamabad
Even in Lahore u can wear shorts
    People will criticise u
    I’m from India
    I love Sufism
And the situation is similar in rural Rajasthan
Ghungat tradition is still going on
    We should stop such traditions
