Thank you so much for this video. A couple of years ago (pre-pandemic), I was selling on Posh, and got away from it, but I’m back. The only thing I remember not liking was that I was selling some perfumes (I work in luxury retail fragrances) and someone commented that it was not allowed (very snarky), and then reported me😑. I was really put off, since I saw ALOT of people selling fragrances. But I’m going to give it a go again, and I really appreciate you!!

I'm confused about the shipping. If I know something is over 5 lbs do I set that up when creating the listing or does it always default to the standard 5 lbs and under and then I change it once the item sells? And on that same note, am I always responsible for the shipping cost over the $7.67 or does the buyer pay it, and how would they if it's upgraded after they buy the item?

Great info for new sellers! I would add a slight disclaimer on Walmart Items; if they’re plus size and in excellent condition or new with tags, I would pick them up if you can get them for $3 or less. I just sold an eyelet white dress NWOT for $35 and picked it up for $2. 👍🏼
Adding to this, check SOLD comps on items that you are looking to list. You might be surprised (Like a Walmart brand for instance) is a great seller/hot item, whether it is that size, color, or style, but another item in that same brand may not sell as well (if not at all). Never turn down a brand just because it is a supermarket brand. You may surprise yourself. ALWAYS CHECK COMPS.

Sometimes it’s good to go back to the basics! I ended up letting my sales go. When I got an order- I ignored it because it has become such a daunting task to go through my inventory. I have too much inventory. I have amassed an uncontrollable amount of clothing. I had to get back to the basics and this video helped me more than you know. I am currently trying to find two orders and I have 4 that I shipped already. Omg. Reselling is not for the faint of heart.
I’ve started organizing my inventory by TYPE that way if there are questions, I know to go to specific bins to look for it vs going through everything. Also adding your business card as tag then writing the measurements and date on it and having this as a picture in the listing in addition to the description box. Ppl don’t read lol 😂 hope this helps
I have a question- Are seasons a factor on when you list an item? For instance, I know every place starts seasons at different times of the year but still is it a bad idea to post say a summer dress or summer sandals in October or February or whatever? Or should you should you wait until 1-2 months within the general season?

I haven't sold nothing on poshmark. I think 1 item sold since the beginning of the year. I feel as though it's a popularity contest there. More sellers then there are buyers

Thumbs Up👍for the information had to wait till the end for shipping out, just added your scale from Amazon. One thing I must mention to me putting items on a floor is a no no that's not impressive its where people walk on from the street and may be dirty and even if they dont walk on it with shoes on then its bare feet its still inappropriate to me anyway. Any back ground is better than the floor! Been shopping on ebay over 10 years and know detailed photos is very important to make a sale better and faster make sure to add specific flaws and defects if you dont want a negative feed back co concerning item description!
Poshmark said that adding the original price helps with sales because it gives the buyer a bigger sense that they are getting a great deal. Based on data. I always add it, or at least, approximate

Do you find that the "order" of how you word things in the title matters as much or just that you have all those specifics in the title somewhere?

Echoing off the measurements comment - I personally won't buy from someone who doesn't take the time to list measurements in their listing. That is just me. They don't have time to list them, I don't have time to wait for a measurement request. It might take a few extra minutes in the forefront to take measurements but saves time, in the long run, having to go back to the same item over and over answering questions about the main measurements. Long (arms, legs, and torso) Tall and Slim here, I always look for measurements.
Yup. You and me both! It is a hassle to comment then hope and wait they’ll actually respond. Conversely, on the handful of items that I’ve forgotten measurements for, I feel like I ALWAYS get comments on those for measurements lol. Especially because people can’t return due to fit, measurements are something to strongly consider.

The payment method does it have to be through poshmark?
Hi Becky, You can now take picture in longer version for Poshmark. You just need to zoom out to fit in the square mode.
For me it has been helpful when taking pictures of dress/coat etc. Also, better Color for those longer items as well.
Can you make a video on Returns?
A great tip on photos in Poshmark is if you don't take it in square mode, simply pinch zoom out and it creates a border so that your entire picture fits!

Hey. Does anyone k ow if there is a way to lock your iPhone camera to default to square photo mode during a long photo session? Seems like I have to keep going back in to adjust the photo to square.
I love PR app; however, when I switched from Apple to Samsung phone recently, I downloaded the app and received their updated version and now I'm having issues using it. I went to your recommended tutorial (2 years old) and it does not help at all with the newer version.

I think you have to reach out to the buyer and ask if they'd be willing to break the bundle up into a few transactions. Poshmark won't support bundles over ten pounds. I hope that helps!
