I didn't even realize how heavy the cello comes in the beginning until I heard you say it. It's like a sudden event, a depression. It makes me appreciate the song even more. It's so emotional. This song reminds me of my grandma. She gave me so much advice. She taught me the courage to carry on. That even though we are small, we make big explosions like stars. I wish I could hear this song again for the first time. It is so beautiful, incredible, life-changing, and gives me goosebumps every time I hear it -- even years after the first time. Ryan O'Neal is a musical god.
This song just invokes emotions that i didnt know that its in me.
This song is from the album "Space" in which he has a song about each planet as well as the sun and the moon. The tracklist is in order of their proximity to the sun/order in the solar system, starting with Sun "With golden string, our universe was clothed in light". Both the instruments, music and lyrics take on and use the characteristics of each planet/body and take you on a journey, they are beautifully crafted to each planet, hence so many spinning circles of light for Saturn in this video. And in "Earth" the lyrics are about fire and fault lines and volcanoes and the creation of our planet and how Pluto's lyrics are about being lost, nervous, afraid of gravity and heights. Mars' lyrics say "to build a better life", Mercury has "made of precious metals". Jupiter's lyrics says "I wrote it down in the winter of 1610" about it's discovery and "make my messes matter, make my chaos count" which refers to Galileo's discovery of the planet in 1610 and how he was persecuted. You can genuinely feel those planets, their characteristics and their stories as you listen to the music and the words. It is well worth listening to the whole album in one sitting, just listening to the whole thing and absorbing it. It is an absolute masterpiece of music in the modern era. As much as I love "Saturn", I simply cannot choose a favourite from this album, every single track makes me feel some kind of overwhelming emotion.
This song is just one brilliant song in a whole album of equally brilliant songs.
Heartbreaking song!!! Just lost my mom to an advanced brain cancer , and this song and visuals of the sparks thst look like some cosmic scenery in the next life . The liturgical talking about what that person taught us and how I’d give anything to talk to her again , but the end the singer has learned from that person to be greatful and in awe that we get this chance to exist and feel love for our children, our spouse, our parents and to remember it doesn’t end here.
The sparks are souls returning to God.
Sleeping at Last made music that require us to listen with our heart, not just ears. His music are like poet, each word, each line, and each instrument/sound has its meaning. He explained about his music in his podcasts. What I love about SAL is that he doesn't write songs about superficial things, he doesn't write songs/music only to touch the surface of the topic, but he dived deep into it. That's why his music isn't for everyone, that's why you don't get more views for his song.
If you listen to his Album Enneagram, you will find a song about yourself, not just the surface, but deep into yourself. ☺️

I HIGHLY recommend “welcome home son by radical face” it truly is an underrated gem that gives off very similar vibes to sleeping at last. It has a very ‘Childhood Nostalgia’ feeling.

Sleeping At Last's music has impacted my life so deeply like no other artist. And Saturn is my first introduction to his music. My favorite song, and one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard... it was originally inspired by Galileo and written as if from the perspective of his children remembering his legacy of looking up at the stars and dreaming. Recently the singer and writer lost his mother and dedicated this song to her.

@@whatitdodave It's a pity. Some artists work very well on one channel but not on another. You've reacted to Diana Navarro's El Perdon and got 4.6K views after 2 weeks. Another reactor I follow has "only" 10k subscribers and her reaction to this video has now 44K views after 2 weeks. The "Saturn" video has 73 million views. It's very popular but it's obviously nothing your subscribers are interested in. ☹
