I could cry. I almost wish I could go back and hear this song again for the first time... but also I'm so glad I've known about it through the years... Saturn was the first song I ever heard from him and it made me cry the first time I heard it... and many times since. After that Sleeping at Last became my favorite artist and Saturn one of my favorite songs. Sleeping At Last literally changed my life and how I view art and music and life. It's like when Ryan sings, he sets my soul to a song. It's pure poetry, the definition of beauty, and true art. And most of it is focuses on exploring the inner world and life. Exisistence. Meaning. Purpose... he touches on philosophical and spiritual themes I've never ever heard explored in music alongside themes like remembering childhood,, the bittersweetmess of growing up, building a home, starting a family. But it never feels preachy or pretentious. Its genuine. I have his Space EP on vinyl and I cherish it so much.
I only found Sleeping At Last a few months ago, and rarely have I been so mesmerized by an artist. His introspection and spiritual philosophy lands hard for me. ✨ I’ve been listening to him non-stop! ✨
@@ohifonlyx33 I can relate to that alot but also for me every time I listen to Saturn it feels like the first time maybe you dont realize but saturn has that effect where it feels like you've never heard it before every new time you listen to it
when I first listened to this song I started to cry. I was crying so hard, I could barely see in the end. For no obvious reason. Somehow this one was talking with my soul.
this wonderful song is a Homage to NASA's CASSINI Satellite, which for twenty years captured images and information from our solar system. And in the end, it ended up "falling" on the planet Saturn. literally crashed. Saturn is part of the song “cassini grand finale” by Sleeping at Last; has 8 minutes approximately. This song is part of the Altas volume 1 project, and is part of songs related to natural planets and satellites, by Ryan O’Neil. Yep bro, one person band! Amazing job. Sugestion: the music “North” by Sleeping at Last. the most interesting thing is that the video was made without the music. Ryan O'Neal asked for a video to find out which song "fit" ... when he saw the final work, he decided on Saturn. madness!
it's insane to me that not more people appreciate his music, like literally i was looking for reaction videos to his music and there was barely any!! like whatttt! people are messing out for real! so thank you for reacting to this and really hope you do more of their music
Saturn is just on another level, it has the ability to reach places in me I didn't even knew until I heard it for the first time... damn, it just make me feel I exist.
My wife walked down the aisle to this song 5 years ago. We changed the lyrics to be more about love and life rather than loss. We had an orchestra perform it and my brother sing it. It was performed phenomenally! Legit, it was the most magical moment that I could have ever experienced in real life. My wife is also super pleased that we chose that song before it started to really gain popularity lol.
i’m so curious how y’all changed it! i’m not planning on getting married soon, but i would love for this to be played at my wedding. it truly is one of the most beautiful songs ever
This is my favorite song...my little boy passed away in 2019 and he was only 7 yrs old. This song is for my babyboy I love you brybry. Mommas always right here.
this song have a really special meaning to me because I listened a night before my gramps passed away, so for me it’s always the first every time I hear it. The goosebumps, the heart clenching, the love and the sadness. I miss him dearly and I’ll be forever grateful for made me blessed with all these feelings.
i feel the exact same way. i listened to this song a lot after i lost someone so special to me (they truly taught me how to love beautifully, without limits) and it makes me emotional every time. it’s so painful but like you said i feel blessed to have experienced a glimpse of this inexplicable feeling
I wish I could hear this song again for the first time. It is so beautiful, incredible, life-changing, and gives me goosebumps every time I hear it -- even years after the first time. Ryan O'Neal is a musical god.
hey micah i have many suggestion if u want :D 1: Petit biscuit - safe ('Safe' is a spiritual track which has that chill side, but when the drop comes in, this feeling of safety goes far away to make us feel like in a kind of wild world. ) 2:koi - ysl ( an underrated rapper you'll probably like ) 3 Pink sweat$ - body aint me ( trust me his voice is everything ) hope you have a great day :))
I always looked at the sparks as 'Spirits' each and every spark a human spirit. I also think the person who the guy who 'Tried to write it down, but couldn't find a pen' was a man of greatness someone with ultimate knowledge or even a secret to tell of the universe the dying person's perspective. Maybe a dying father speaking to his son for the last time, maybe the guy was writing about his father's adventures, like a journal/biography. Anyways just my take, that's the beauty of music, everyone can interpret it in their own way. And the Cassini thing crashing into 'Saturn' Yup!!! Bless
So the sparks are this metal wool kind of thing that if you light it with fire kind of sparks, someone is swining that around and they reversed that footage. This song is honestly my favourite song ever, it truly is a piece of art.
For me sleeping at last is the son of coldplay. It makes me feel the same. I even cry everytime, even I don't have any problem. But it melts my heart, that makes you feel the that it's beautiful to live in this world.

literally, i wanna cry and scream everytime i hear this song, it's so hurting in a fucking beautiful way that I'm speechless when it's playing
I want this song played at my funeral.
I told another person that they played them at my friend's funeral, it was very nice but hurt my heart
@@lyndseyld2987 it is a very soul searching song that makes one remember just how short and precious life can be.
It was at my mother's funeral in April 2020. I miss her very much :(
I want it played at mine too. I’m not very religious but I am spiritual and I think it’s perfect.
